I had a very unpleasant experience with this business. I ordered a floral arrangement/ centerpiece it was to be delivered to a restaurant. The delivery was never made. When I called to ask what happened to the delivery, they had to confirm that it was a delivery (meanwhile the recite had a delivery address and it showed a $15 delivery fee) It took an additional 45 minutes and multiple calls to get the floral arrangement delivered to the restaurant. I'm really disappointed in the customer service I received over the past few days. I placed an order online of a flower bouquet arrangement on Friday 5/10/21 for delivery that day and they called to verify my credit card and everything. On Sunday when I called my mom to wish her a happy Mother's Day she told me never received the flowers so I proceeded to call the shop to clarify. The first time they told me they would check the order and call me back. They never did. That day I called again 4 more times and they kept on telling me the same thing. They never checked the order, they never called me back. I called back the next day and they told me the same message. They would check the order and call me back. I understand it was Mother's Day weekend but they charged me the $85 and never delivered the flowers. In the end I had to get my credit card company involved to dispute this charge since they will not help me. I'm sad that I can't support a local business and that they never took my calls seriously. We had our wedding 3/28/15. I never had a chance to give a proper review. I love this place and they did an amazing job on our wedding. They set up the flowers at the church, OLPH. They also delivered and set up all of the flowers at our wedding hall. They even delivered flowers to my home in Staten Island so we all had our bouquets and boutonnière's. We celebrated our wedding on June 29th 2012 at the Riviera in Coney Island Brooklyn and we had our ceremony at St. Michael's church in Sunset Park and Josie and the team at Miriam's Flower Shop handled all of the floral arrangements for our celebration. First of all, Josie worked with us on multiple occasions for several hours each time without the promise of handling the project. Each time she worked with us she was extremely courteous and presented a variety of examples each time to help us decide, and there were so many changes each time by my wife that she could have easily been frustrated but yet she always maintained a smile. Initially we were worried because it was a big affair with more than 100 guests at the hall and the church was very large, and both places required great details put in place by my wife and Josie after months of planning. When the day came we are happy to say that everything was perfect! All of the details with the floral arrangements for the bridal party were fresh, crisp, and beautiful, and exactly how we discussed. Every single piece was ready on-time and there were approximately 20 people in the bridal party. The church setting was beautiful and executed perfectly. The church had all the little things set up exactly the way my wife requested and our ceremony was glorious. We cannot talk enough about how beautiful our centerpieces were at the wedding hall. We had requested crystals to adorn large glass vases and large bouquets full of roses and several other flower types. Our centerpieces were even more beautiful than the example we created before the wedding. All of our flowers and all of the small details were absolutely perfect for our very special day and we will never forget it. Lastly, the pricing was all within our budget. Josie was willing to work with us and help build the perfect package that was within our budget and she clearly added several bonuses for us at her own personal cost. My 11 year old daughter bought for Father's day a beautiful flower bucket for 20$ from Miriam's Flower Shop. The next morning the flowers had their heads hanging down and showed brown spots. I changed the water , and cut the stems but there was no rescuing these flowers. Since the flowers came out of a cooling area in the store we asked the sales person if the flowers would be ok in a normal temperatured Apt. We were told that the flowers would last a long time. I returned with my daughter to Miriam's to ask about why the flowers had died so quickly even though I was told that they would last a long time. The same sales women told us that I treated the flowers wrong and that this wasn't their problem! I was told that my Apt is to hot? Which it is not. (AC) The owner was standing right there and seemed to agree with her incompetent sales person. Besides that we were wrongly advised on the flowers when we purchased them, we were not given any food for the flowers (little packet usually attached) and I am very disappointed that a store would treat us as carelessly as Miriam's Flower shop did. I have been going to Miriam's Flower shop for years. Even at her previous location. I highly recommend this flower shop, because of the quality and the love and care she has for her flowers as well as for her customers. This place is unique and the prices are absolutely reasonable. At the last minute I had to go to her for my grandfathers funeral flowers because the original florist who was affiliated with the funeral parlor and a mix up with the correct date. Unbelievably in a matter of hours and I am not kidding - hours she had all of the flowers ready even the one I placed on his casket. THEY WERE ABSOLUTELY STUNNING. I am not sure what compelled me to use this flower shop, but I was searching for something online that had fair prices on bouquets and delivery so I could get something for my girlfriend delivered to her office in Manhattan. After searching around for good prices, I decided to order from Miriam's on Wed, Feb 12 for delivery the next day. I received an order confirmation email shortly after. On the Feb 13th, the day I wanted the flowers delivered, I received a phone call saying that they could not make a delivery to the address that I provided for the amount I paid. They said they would deliver it for an extra $45 which I thought was ridiculous. They offered to refund me my money, which I agreed to. It took them 6 days, and 3 phone calls to finally process that refund. I am not sure that I would have gotten it if I hadn't called them repeatedly. read more

Last year in August sadly, my Nephew passed away unexpectedly. I went to Miriam's Floral Shop for a Funeral Flower Arrangements. Josie was so sympathetic, patient and professional. She spent a long time helping us decide which Style, type of flowers and colors to use. Including the best ribbon. She patiently showed us a book of pictures. When I was indecisive on one of the arrangements she directed me to her website and assured me that they could get it done in one day. As well as, promised to deliver it on time. We ordered one at the store and another on the website. I made a call after I placed the order and changed the colors of the flowers.i tried to describe to her my vision of how it should look. She assured me that she would do a great job and wouldn't let me down. She even worked with me to give me some Roses with my tight budget. The Next day, at the Funeral home, I was shocked to see that Rosie herself came to deliver the Stands with the Most Beautiful Arrangements that I had ever seen. I was so impressed. I hugged her and thanked her so very much. Not just for the personal attention, and for keeping her word, but also, for such professionalism. It's so rare these days. Almost, unheard of. Everyone loved the arrangements and were so grateful. I will never forget what Josie did for us!! Especially under such a sad time. I placed a mother's Day order for a floral basket for $23.99 with tax and delivery came out to $32.58. I was very happy with the assortment when they called me and said they had raised their price on that arrangement to $40.00...because of the Holiday. I told them that they should honor the price they had in their web page and that it was very misleading to have one price and then call to jack up the price.
