First time at Miro. Was craving tapas and sangria. Started with the mussels appetizer. SO good. The chorizo in the sauce added great saltiness without it being overpowered. The octopus was 11/10. Need that next time. Baked scallop was really good also but scallops are a tad over bay sized. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The space is stunning but not super luxury where you wouldn't feel comfortable coming at any point in your day.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] My server was great also. Will for sure return.

[[HIGHLIGHT]]Miro Spanish Grill is a very nice Spanish Tapas restaurant in the Ballentyne area of south Charlotte.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]The place was busy on a Friday night, so we sat at the bar and enjoyed drinks and dinner[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]]. They have a very good selection of wines and liquor. I tried a tequila based Old Fashioned that was dangerously delicious. I got the seafood stew for dinner that was equally delicious.

[[HIGHLIGHT]]This place is cozy and welcoming.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] The food is delicious, flavorful, and offers great value for the price. The appetizers are always excellent, and the seafood paella is outstanding--it's generous enough to serve two people. I'm definitely coming back to try more dishes from the menu. I highly recommend this restaurant for any occasion!

Went here a second time and had an absolutely fabulous time! The filet was done to perfection. The seafood stew was delicious. I would have like it more spicy, but the flavor was really good. Alysha took very good care of us! Miro is always a hit!

Miro Spanish Grille [[HIGHLIGHT]]As usual AMAZING food, phenomenal service (REALLY good people) and great music on Thursdays.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] My only comment is that the pork skewers? There's gotta be a way to ensure they stay tender and are not a little tough and dried out. Love the idea of the corn, but there was no flavor. Not sure if maybe marinating the corn and something might give it a kick? That was absolutely not the case with any other dish, under any circumstances! Oh my God, the croquettes? You haven't lived until you've had them with their homemade dipping sauce! The Osso Bucco is a favorite - but we love to dip the bread in the different sauce's especially the olive oil the shrimp are cooked in Phenomenal desserts as always the chocolate cake has no flour it's gluten-free and it is fabulous! I will always recommend Miros and that's been the case for as long as they've been in Charlotte!

Finally got to try this place my last trip to CLT. I am still craving trying the sea bass so I will be back. My coworker and I shared the paella not normally a fan and it was good. Papas bravas were a little underwhelming. The Aloft staff recommended this place. It was a step up from the other Spanish grill i attended.

Been here a few times and always get amazing food and service. Last night was especially good. Try the grilled calamari, empanadas and croquettes. All 5 stars! Lamb was good, 4 out of 5. Wine was on point. Great bottle for $50. Will be back

Decided to check this place out on a Saturday night. Made a 7pm reservation. Got there at 7:02 and our table was gone (our fault). We waited 5 minutes and they literally made a table for us and found a spot for us to sit. Very comfortable atmosphere. Not too loud. There's a good sized bar with TVs. We ordered empanadas that were really good. I also ordered muscles in a spicy red sauce with warm bread on the side. Very good. The small seafood paella came out next. It was enough for two people. It was very mid. Scallops were not tasty. Shrimp was ok. Going to try the beef and chicken one next time. I tried the pork kabobs with chimichuri. They were ok. 6 out of 10. Would I go back? I actually really like this place. I plan to go back in a few days and try their other tapas and the non-seafood paella. They also have steaks so I'll give that a shot too.

AVOID THIS LOCATION!…read more My family that resides in Clt started coming to this location because of the proximity to their house, but after this past visit on June 20th, none of us will ever be back again after the absolute awful service! And, as anyone knows, you can have amazing food, but if the people and service are terrible that can ruin any dining experience! We were sat in an almost empty restaurant just after 8pm; the waiter came to take our order and was very engaging initially. We were a party of 6, so we were going to order 4 diff apps prior to the mixed grill which is what we always get. We ordered the hummus, falafel (2 orders because only 6 come per order), baba ganoush, and beef sambousa. We were told they were "out" of the baba ganoush & sambousas cuz they would have to make them and it would take like an hr...this sounded odd cuz umm, don't you make all your food to order?? This immediately put both my stepmom (who is Moroccan) and myself off and we were actually going to leave, but we were introducing my brother's GF to this ethnic food style & him + my dad convinced us to stay, so we just added salad and lentil bean soups). We ordered drinks (the GF & I were the only ones that didn't order sodas; she ordered a pot of Karak tea for her + I to share & I ordered a sparkling water). After 10mins no drinks in sight we were like "ummm?" then at just over 15mins they brought us the apps but no drinks?!? The drinks came separately a few mins later...all except the tea. For $3 on the menu I expected a bottled sparkling water, instead I got flat water from the soda fountain. I told the waiter this and he said he'd try again and if it wasn't "sparkling" then what did I want to drink instead...I said just a filtered water w/lemon. We were missing an order of falafel (were told they only had the one order and would have to wait for the 2nd, so we just canceled it; again whyTF did they not have anything on the menu at 8pm on a Sat!?) and they only brought one basket of pita for the hummus; we asked for a 2nd basket. The lentil soup (my stepmom makes better at home) + salads were mid at best. 20mins later they bring the main course, but we still had not gotten the pot of tea we ordered nor did the guy ever come back w/my "sparkling" or plain water...we'd had enough of this horrible service & I went in search of someone (the place again was empty & I could not find our waiter or anyone anywhere). Finally I see this lady who had attitude (I have a sneaking suspicion she pretended not to understand english when convenient) when I asked WTAF was up w/my water & the tea! Again, another 10mins w/neither showing up at the table...we were also still waiting for the 2nd basket of pita, but it was moot as we'd already begun to eat the main dish...my stepmom went to the lady & spoke to her in arabic and was like "where is her water and where is her tea!?" the lady said she was sorry she didn't know we didn't get them (BS btw) that's when my stepmom asked to speak to the mgr. We also wanted to order Knfa for dessert, so my stepmom told the lady we were ordering 3 now since they were taking forever to get anything to us, and if they didn't bring them when we were done eating, we would not be paying for them. THAT part seemed to get through at least! Halfway (almost an hr at this point) through the meal they finally come w/my water and the pot of Karak tea. At this point we hadn't seen the male waiter who took our order initially; he shows up & is acting huffy (the audacity tbh!) & tries telling me he never said he'd bring a 2nd sparkling or reg water & when both me and my stepmom (cuz she was sitting next to me & heard the exchange called him out) he got all defensive & said "well I guess I misunderstood" so then we are like "why an hr for the tea?" "Wellll, that's how long it takes to make!" I called BS & told him if that was the case he should have told us that expectation when we initially ordered! He then goes "Well I had to go to storage to find it cuz we were out!" K, howTF is that OUR problem!? Just tell us that so we know what to expect!? No apology was made and we were not credited for the tea nor the $3 sparkling water which I never received. Also, received the Knfa (shockingly, right after the meal) but it was served w/o the pistachios it was supposed to come with. When asked for them, we were told they were "out"...because of course they were! Absolutely HORRIBLE staff and service here; the food was good tho, but when u have an experience like that it still leaves a bad taste!

To start, The service was quick and the workers were very kind. I ordered the hummus and pita bread which comes served warm and the hummus is creamy and flavorful with a side of spicy green pepper and mayo which all complimented each other very well. I ordered the half chicken with yellow rice and while the flavor was unique and the rice was wonderful, the chicken was admittedly dry, which was a let down. The lentil soup on the side was creamy and had great flavor. On the flip side, my dad ordered the Greek salad with chicken kebab on top and that chicken was phenomenal with a great char and was super moist- I'll be sure to order this if I want chicken from here again. The salad was a very generous portion and came with loads of chicken, pickles, tomato, feta, olives, and the dressing was simple but paired perfectly- it was basically lemon juice and herbs. I also ordered the coconut-like cake (?) that they had on a side counter by the register where you can take as many slices as you want but I just took a pre portioned serving of 4 pieces. It was a mildly crumbly cake but it was incredibly moist with what I presume is a sweet syrup and coconut flakes on top. It was a great way to finish the meal. Overall, great food and would love to come back and try more menu items
