The Jimmy ended up being such a great spot for a night out with friends. I've only been once so far, but it made a strong first impression. We went in planning to share a bunch of dishes and try a little bit of everything, and that was definitely the move. Between the pastas and pizzas, everything we ordered was super tasty and satisfying. Huuuge fan of their pastas. The vibe is perfect for what we were there for. It felt easy to sit, relax, and catch up without feeling rushed, and also a great date spot with the ambiance and liveliness. The only downside was parking, which can be a bit tricky depending on when you go. That said, we had two guys working the shared lot with nearby businesses who were helping keep an eye out for spots, which definitely made it easier. Overall, I'd absolutely come back, especially to try more of the menu. It's one of those places that works really well for both casual dinners and something a little more intentional. read more

I have not stopped thinking about this restaurant since I went!! It is quietly tucked away and the parking lot is very small so I recommend taking rideshare if you can. But the food! The food is amazing. My friend and I split the meatballs to start and they did not disappoint! Then I decided to try the crab pasta. It was delicious but a very small portion which was a little sad. My friend had the lamb which I tried a bite of and it was very very good! I'll be getting that next time. I love the open kitchen concept. They also have a great patio! First time trying The Jimmy's, my husband and I were excited and decided to grab a spot on the patio with our dog, Flanders. We were greeted by a server who gave us water and then explained she wouldn't be our server but the bartender would be. I think we must have come at a point during staff transition because I feel like the bartender shouldn't be a server too. Anyways, took awhile to be greeted by him and for him to take our order (he had 3 other tables to greet and take orders from). While we were waiting the manager brought out a water bowl for our dog, really nice touch! My husband and I wanted to try a few different items so decided to share. We started with the Salisccia Pizza ($23) which has House-made Fennel Sausage, red onion, and Ricotta cheese. The pizza had a great, crunchy crust and really good cheese. We did order a side of hot honey (which was a nice pairing) but when we got our bill we saw it was $4, which felt a bit steep. It would've been nice if our server (the bartender) had mentioned the upcharge before tacking it onto the bill. The other dish we ordered was the Linguini pasta ($20) with 6 pieces of shrimp, n'duja, yellow tomato, chili and mint. The pasta was solid but small for the price. The shrimp were cooked perfectly, the sauce had a bit of a spicy kick, and the yellow tomatoes added a nice pop of flavor. The mint was a bit of a no-show, but it didn't take away from the overall dish. The atmosphere at The Jimmy's was laid-back, with a decent crowd enjoying wine and cocktails outside, which made for a pleasant, relaxed vibe. Overall, I'd say it's a good spot to chill with friends or bring your dog, but a few small details kept it from being a standout experience for us. We really wanted to like this place since it's walkable to our house but I am not impressed. This was our second time visiting and both times, the service was noticeably poor. The hosts ignored us and did not acknowledge us at all both times when we were walking out - they were on their phones the first time and talking to their coworkers the second time. It is not a welcoming environment. Both times we sat at the bar (with many open seats) and had to flag down a bartender just to get greeted and get some water. Bartenders were also on their phones. The cocktails are great but not worth the price if you're getting below average service. If you're not a regular, it seems like you are invisible. The cavatelli nero had a generous portion of blue crab, along with corn. These were tossed with black pasta - which I honestly would have appreciated more of to make this a heftier portion. Slightly spicy and flavorful with great texture. One of the specials for the night were mussels in a saffron broth. Although not the best mussels dish I've had in the area, the charred bread really complemented this dish well. Meatballs app was tasty and classic with flavorful, meaty balls in red sauce. I came here for a girl's night on a Tuesday and we had a great time. We were even blessed by the parking gods by nabbing a spot in the parking lot! Firstly, we had made a reservation for 9 but they told us there was an issue with the online reservation and we were accidentally seated at a table for 6. I had a great cremant to start and switched to a French red for dinner. I split the Caesar and the rigatoni with a friend. I did not enjoy the Caesar, it did not have much dressing and the raddichio was not to my taste. The rigatoni was pretty tasty, I'd give it 8/10. He was very knowledgeable about the menu and seemed to enjoy his time working with his coworkers - they all seem to like each other! We ordered the rigatoni and cavatelli nero. Both were delicious and fully eaten. Since we were still hungry, we also split a Quattro Formaggi pizza. Very much enjoyed all our food - no crumbs! Carbonara was fine, very basic and pasta was over cooked. The Nero pasta was basically inedible it was so spicy. The waiter said the spice level in that dish is inconsistent ... which is kind of the point of a restaurant, to be consistent. He offered her MORE butter to lighten it up? Three of us made reservations this morning for brunch and we loved the Jimmy! We sat inside and it was such a cute spot for a gals brunch because of the decor and lighting. I recently had a date night at the Jimmy and while I really enjoyed the atmosphere of this beautiful restaurant the pizza I had was a little disappointing. I originally had planned on trying a pasta dish but I had been craving pizza and after seeing some pictures of what their pies looked like I was sold. I opted to get the four cheese pizza because it came with honey drizzled which is incredible on pizza despite not being seen often. The biggest problem I had was that the bottom of the pizza was a little soft and seemed undercooked. I was really hoping for an overall crispier crust and instead it was a little floppy which left me underwhelmed. I am not going to write this place off completely. We ordered a bottle of wine (they only have French and Italian wines btw), the burrata appetizer, a margherita pizza, and the pappardelle with brisket ragu. I wish the crusty bread they serve with the burrata was sliced thinner so it's easier to eat. I was worried I would cut the roof of my mouth or break a tooth if I bit into it. But I noticed that every time I brought my 3 year old with me, they( mainly the general manager) would not let us have a 4 seat table. It's funny when I go with my a friend we have no problem having a 4 seat table. So every time me and my daughter go there, even I requested, even the place is empty, we still got the smallest table. I usually like to order 3 dishes, a pizza and a pasta and a salad and they can't fit in the table, so I had to order less food and my daughter doesn't even have space to draw in such a small table. Every time when we leave, the restaurant is at least half empty or more than half empty, I don't understand why they don't want us to sit comfortably and be able to order more food. read more

The Jimmy now does brunch! I absolutely LOVED the Prosciutto Tartine! This is the first breakfast I've had that reminded me of European breakfast.
