So first off, parking is very limited. There are a lot of other businesses and they dont have a lot of parking near the restaurant but if you drive a little bit on the other road, there's more parking. Just no direct parking in front of their building. Will need to do some walking on busy days/hours. The place is very cute and elegant and fancy looking. Beautiful decor and very minimal. Definitely gives you that elegant fancy vibe that it's meant to be in southpark. When I went, there seems to be only three workers, the bartender, one server and one manager, all running it. I was shocked to see one server serving all the tables. But seems like she got it handled as it wasn't super packed. She was nice and knowledgeable about the menu. Our food came out pretty quickly except my duck, which I don't know if it took longer because it's duck. But my friends finished their meal before mine came out. It was delicious and full of flavor. Just got too full. The hamachi I wasn't expecting it to come out the way it did. Just pricey for the portion but makes sense because it's southpark. Definitely spicy for sure from the jalapeño. Would not get again as I was expecting sushi type of hamachi. Drinks was good. We got the pear and lychee mocktails. Everything was good and delicious. Just pricey is all. One of my friends suggested this spot so we went and it is a very beautiful restaurant. We were able to sit by the wine bottles which was gorgeous! I was able to try the Brussels sprouts as an appetizer and was kind of disappointed because most of it was burnt. The ones I did eat were ok. I also tried the Tuscan Roasted Half Chicken and it was also ok, needed more seasoning. The potatoes were great, but overall the seasoning was missing on this dish. The Watermelon Margaritas were So good me and my friend ordered another round. Overall, I am going to try this spot again and pick something different. First time back here since they changed ownership. I loved when it was Bar Marcel and I kinda still really like it! Same kinda stylish vibe with some new touches in decor and great I have to say music !! The bar was always my favorite and it still is . Such a cool spot where it's casual yet classy. You can order food here too. They have a nice wine, beer and cocktail list and when we went on a Sunday afternoon we happened to know it was half price wine by the glass day from a Social media post. Score ! The bartender was really awesome to talk to and new to the area and so friendly. We started with a couple of glasses of Brut Rosè. Which was really nice extra dry. Perfect. We tried one of their tapas items which is a nice new add on from bar Marcel days. They still have a nice full appetizer, salads, pastas and main course menu too. The tapas list is pretty extensive and neat for sharing. We tried the sautéed marbled potatoes with Tuscan cream sauce. This was like comfort food! Potatoes and creamy sauce! Perfect combination and I loved the veggies in the sauce. The potatoes were sweet, white and purple. Just a really good hearty dish. My friend and I both finished this one off! Then we moved onto dessert! The amaretto tiramisu and the salted caramel budino off this dessert minus list Both served in small servings so perfect if you just want a few bites of something sweet. I love that they offer this option rather than huge slices of things you can never finish. They still have this option if you wish to indulge! My fave being the caramel one as it was creamy and salty and had the Oreo crunch! The tiramisu wasn't bad I just didn't taste any amaretto. Still nice with a good espresso taste. Good sweets to round us out . I really enjoyed this place and the fact that it's still like it used to be to be but updated. Which is never a bad thing. The tapas are exceptional. The service is very attentive. We ordered 3 share plates. The chicken was well cooked but paled in comparison the ceviche and yellowtail collars. The ceviche was fresh with tender octopus and had the perfect level of heat from the jalepeno. My favorite dish was the yellowtail collars - it is served on the bone and is a dense flavorful piece of fish. I have not seen this item on any menu in the south park area. If you never had fish collars, you really need to try these. It was the best choice. Tapas are a great deal if you take advantage of their 50% off happy hour 4-6pm. Highly recommend read more

We went there on a Friday night on a whim had driven by it several times but never stopped there. It was easy to get reservations. Got there at 6:30 in the evening and had a large assortment of spaces that we could've said that we were very happy where we were there is a large bar area And then a large dining room with both booths and high top and low top tables. Our first course was grilled octopus it was succulent. It was perfectly charged. Unfortunately we hate it so fast that I did not get a picture of it. We also got some bread service, which was phenomenal. The better tasted as if it had honey in it. I'm not really sure if that's what it was, but that's what it taste like. The bread was hot and moist and Crusty on the outside but very light on the inside. The combination of the bread and the butter was wonderful. Our final course was the paella. We got the double portion and we're not disappointed. It had a lot of shellfish in it and also Carrizzo sausage. If I would add anything to it, maybe a little bit more rice but otherwise, it was quite tasty. The wine we had buzz a French Pinot that was juicy very free forward and I would definitely buy again. Our server Nick was relatively new to the restaurant, but made sure that we felt as if we were his only customers. We will definitely return. read more

This was a very nice little restaurant and bar in a small South Park mall off the main site. A number of nice stores and a Barnes and Noble are here. The Stella Nova is new, replacing a Bar Marcel we heard. While we didn't have any food because we just stopped in for drinks, the bar part was very nice. Maybe 15 seats around a cozy L-shaped bar, the bartender was top notch ... friendly, engaging, and nice attentive attitude. The drinks were not fancy ... for example, the Lemon Drop Martini did not have crushed lemon drops or anything similar on the rim ... but it was a nice tasting drink. We also had a Dirty Shirley and a glass of Pinot ... nice drinks all around. We'd give it 3 1/2 stars for the drinks and 5 stars for Michael B the bartender ... all in all a 4 star outing. So sad to see Bar Marcel leave. I'm not sure what's going on here. The inside looks similar. The menu is a mixed bag - some of the same stuff and then added things like ginger dressing (?) at an Italian spot. The service was slooooow and inattentive. The food was mediocre, the fettuccine tasted like a jar of sauce from the Teeter. And, alas, I asked for no mushrooms which it still had. I didn't even mention to the server and she saw them after the meal and commented on it but zero recovery. No more for me. read more

We ended with Cappuccino Cheesecake and a glass of wine that were also delicious. Service was professional and kind. And the prices were very reasonable for this style of dinner. The change in ownership is an enormous positive. The food is really, really good. Here's a huge hint- they have "Happy Hour" pricing 7 days a week. This means that their entire Tapas menu is 50% off from 4:00pm to 6:00pm every day (including, apparently, takeout). I have tried more than half of the items on the Tapas menu (over three visits) and each and every one was fantastic. Duck tacos, bang bang shrimp, lamb and beef meatballs, steak bites (my favorite!) and spicy tuna tartare (my adult son's favorite). The drink menu is extensive, the service is top notch. (Henry, our waiter tonight, is part of the family that owns the restaurant and was terrific). Love the decor. Visited today (Jan 15, 2025) and will go back next week. We were pleasantly surprised that Tapas were half priced so we made that our meal. Had salmon, scallops, asparagus and mushrooms and added on the flat bread from the regular appetizer menu. I had expected the mushrooms to be sliced but they were cubed and firm, not a lot of taste. Asparagus was very good. Salmon was excellent but scallops were just ok. Flathead was great. As former supporters of Bar Marcel we were sadly disappointed by Stella Nova. The service was slow, the staff were well meaning but not trained and unaware of their surroundings. The food was very salty and my husband felt quite ill later that night. The restaurant was at about 20% occupancy. We miss Bar Marcel and won't be returning to Stella Nova. read more

Food was excellent however, after we ate the truffle fries we noticed a bug crawling on the plate. We asked the waitress to take it away - she did but when the check came we were expected to pay for it. To make matters worse, the manager didn't believe us and had to validate it by calling the waitress over to ask. The waitress didn't even mention anything about it beforehand to her manager. The service was the poorest I have experienced in a long time. We were next to another large table that was constantly checked on but we had to basically flag down the waiter to get any service. We received the incorrect drink and received a final bill that was incorrect. This is a huge downgrade from the former Bar Marcel and we will not be considering this restaurant again in the future. read more

Many comments here refer to the poor service, and I agree with them. It was, as one commenter put it, "inattentive" if not unprepared. Worse, our food was brought out quite inconsistently, only one or two at a time (party of 8) receiving their order with a LOT of time in between (up to 13 minutes by my watch). Still worse, our server - who was quite unfamiliar with the menu btw - blamed the kitchen for the repeated delays. Amends were offered in the form of a gift card, which I found to be a ridiculous gesture since our server knew that none of us lived in the area. (She asked where we were from upon seating.) Also offered free desserts. We declined seeing as it took almost 90 minutes for everyone to get fed the first time around so how much longer was that going to take?
