Their technology is also a major hurdle; the check-in texts send you to forms that don't work, and their app doesn't actually facilitate insurance uploads or check-ins as promised. Combined with the high staff turnover, it's lost the reliability it once had. I'm hoping things get better soon.

I went to see him for an annual wellness checkup and was prescribed a medication for my anxiety. He told me that we would check in after a month of me taking the medication to see if I was doing well with it. I assumed this would just be over the phone as is normal practice with most doctors. When I called back after a month, he was on vacation for 2 weeks and did not have anyone at the office. So I was off my prescription for about a week before getting ahold of him and experiencing serious withdrawals. Then when I finally was able to contact him he told me I would need to come in person for an appointment for a refill on my medication (this is not standard practice and I've never had this happen before... it's unusual to be asked to come in for a full appointment for a REFILL of something the doctor has already prescribed). It's clear that he's only trying to make money by doing this. My insurance does not cover anything outside of an annual wellness exam, so it would be $90 for me to just get a REFILL of my medication. Absolutely ridiculous. Would not recommend this crook of a doctor. Additionally, when I called him to express my concerns he was EXTREMELY RUDE.

How can this be true when I had been a patient for 10+ years. I got labs, referrals, letters from him and his office. I believe my dismissal was retaliation because of wrongful behavior towards my partner. The termination came in a letter unsigned by The Physicians of Commonwealth Primary Care. I never did anything to cause this behavior towards me. What did I do so bad to be treated this way? Now, I am scrambling to find care. Dr. Stein is not the honorable person I thought he was.
