The nurses at this practice are the absolute worst! I like my pcp but literally cringe at the…read morethought of having to go in and interact with their nurses. They always act miserable and make me feel like I am ruining their life by being there. When I went for my yearly check up last week, the nurse yawned and grunted at me through the entire interaction and then just told me that I was done after the doctor was finished. The doctor had mentioned labs so when I asked if I was having that done she said, "did he say you were?" Then she told me to go to the lab and ask. I wandered around the office lost trying to find the lab and when I got there one of the lab nurses had to go hunt the doctor down to find out. I never leave reviews unless they are good. its almost a joke how ridiculously rude and incompetent these nurses are. As a very laid back person who isn't normally bothered by people, I can't be the only person who feels this way. Unfortunately I guess that I will just have to change offices and find a new provider.

My family and I have been patients of Dr. Carl's for several years. I cannot begin to express how…read moremuch of a valued member of our family he and his staff truly are! We have several members of our family with very specific health needs and Dr. Carl and his staff keep us up to date so we don't have to remember all of the details! They take care of it for you. Making appointments is as easy as can be. Prescription refills are always checked and evaluated and dispensed appropriately. Cathy is the lead nurse and she is always super organized and extremely helpful and communicative! Colleen is such a sweet and welcoming member of WellcomeMD. I always love seeing her face!:) Heidi is fabulous on the phone and great with communications. She gets the job done! But when it comes to your health, your relationship with your doctor, it's an intimate dynamic because it requires clarity and trust on the part of the doctor and patient. Dr. Carl is so relaxed that he puts his patients at ease immediately. He is thorough and goes through all of your blood panels with you one-on-one and makes excellent suggestions and also is complimentary if he feels that you are doing well. He will prescribe supplementation only if it is reflected as needed in your bloodwork. Personally, my blood pressure zooms up every time I go to the doctor. But with Dr. Carl, he brings it back to normal and puts me at ease. Obviously, my entire family and I are fans of WellcomeMD. I recommend Dr. Carl and Dr. Colfer to everyone I know! As an aside, we drive 1.5 hours each way, just to be a part of their practice. They are THAT good.

Let me preface this by saying I like Dr. Hyder alot, however my entire family, parents, siblings,…read morechildren, spouse, have been patients of Patterson Ave Family Practice for 40+ years, since Dr.Taylor in the old building. In the past few years it has become basically impossible to schedule an appointment, speak to anyone in the office, get a response to an inquiry in a reasonable amount of time, or even get a "sick visit". All they do is push you towards Urgent Care or the ER. How is that looking out for your patients? The last thing anyone wants when they are legitimately sick is to go sit in a waiting room for hours to be seen by someone who may not even be an actual Dr and knows absolutely nothing about you. I hate to say it, my Dad loved Dr Hyder and I have as well but Bon Secours has run the entire practice into the ground. I'm sure its the way of the world now but one would think that a Healthcare system supposedly rooted in religion would care more about their patients than the almighty dollar. If this is any indication of what "universal healthcare" would be, I sincerely hope it never happens.

I needed a medication refill. I sent my refill request in only for a lady named Annie to write me a message in MyChart and tell me they can't fill my medication until I have an appointment. What am I supposed to do! These people are insane, incompetent, unprofessional and unorganized.
