Garlic cheese curds and loaded potato skins
    E. A.

We saw a picture of a great burger and decided this place was a must. When driving up the to restaurant it sits in a strip mall. The exterior gave off "maybe not" vibes. Walking in it has a divey comfortable feel. And it did deliver. We started with some wings and stuffed potato skins. Also a couple of beers. That day domestic on tap beers were $5. The potato skins were huge! The wings were solid. After the potato skins and wings it's was too much. We never ordered entrees. So you know what that means, we have to return. And what a return.. it was trivia night. But you better make a reservation for that. Good food, great appetizers and nice beer selection. The staff was the best! We enjoyed this place.

This was my second visit to the Taphouse on the Edge and once again it was a great visit. The service was amazing. Our server was so nice and friendly she made us feel right at home. The food was awesome. I got the smash your face burger and it was full of flavor. The French fries were also very good. Do yourself a favor and stop into this place if you're in town to see the Irish!

Stopped in for a burger and a wheelie late afternoon. Menu has changed dramatically. I had a mushroom smashburger...it was good.....battered fries who cares. Fried potatoes arent an art form Food was good...prices were escalated for inflation. My smashburger and fries were 15...not terrible. Would return. Service was good.

Taphouse on the Edge exceeded my expectations! My boyfriend I stopped here after a long drive from Pittsburgh. The food was fantastic, the atmosphere was great, and our waitress was the best!! I ended up getting the strawberry margarita and it was so big, one drink did the trick lol. We got the queso and chips to start and the queso was so bomb. The Nashville hot chicken sandwich was very tasty and the battered type fries were my favorite! Will definitely stop again next time we're in South Bend!!

As a local favorite restaurant right by the Notre Dame campus, it is quite a sports bar and has many football features in the restaurant. I ordered a take out for the famous bacon bacon bacon burger. It was okay, a bit dry but still very meaty and flavorful. The bacons have different flavors, and are tasty. You can also choose buns whether to be white or wheat. The wheat ones that I had were very soft. Overall the burger was good but not that of great as I expected. I also waited for another 25 minutes even though the app said my order was ready. I have no idea why this could happen.

    Monster Melt Challenge
    Ethan T.

I had 20 minutes to finish the "Monster Melt" challenge, which consists of their Taphouse Melt (2- 1/2 pound burgers, cheddar, gruyere, sauteed onions, Thousand Island dressing and grilled cheese as the buns) with an extra grilled cheese that has ghost pepper cheese and bacon, along with a side of loaded tots. For completing the challenge in 9:14, I received the meal for free, a tshirt & a spot on the wall of fame! The food was great. I loved the extra spice from the ghost pepper cheese. The jalapeños included with the loaded tots were absolutely delicious. This restaurant is within walking distance of the Notre Dame campus. When the food arrived, it was piping hot. Overall, I enjoyed my time here & would definitely visit again.

Great beer list with excellent information regarding ABV, pour sizes and more
    Denny K.

Pretty standard sports bar with slightly noisy interior, but quiet enough for private conversations. Plenty of big screen on the walls as well as a small screen right at the booth where we sat. Great wait staff ready to serve and advise if you have questions about the drinks or the menu. Great selection of drafts on hand that change from time to time....Draft Menu even had "On Deck" for brew that would soon be added. List also included ABV and pour sizes available. Excellent information! Food...a lot of fried items - so be careful what you choose. Burgers! - good choice, Fried Portabello - sorry this is a real grease bomb (but savvy eaters should know that already). Elote Fritters (Street Corn Hushpuppies is another way to describe these) really good. Wish I lived closer, I'm fairly certain this would be a new hangout for televised sports events...accompanied by great beer and good food.

You drive up to the awning and a valet opens the gates for you to park. We had reservations. It was very crowded. I am told it's not typically that crowded. It was hard to hear it was so loud. Menu is large. Prices are higher. Be ready. I got the large chopped salad. It wasn't that large for $18. I changed out the dressing to ranch because I did not want the garlic salad dressing. Glad I did. The salad was ok. The salami was smokey it added to the veggies. But for the price it was small and disappointing. 2 people got the prime rib sandwich and it was pretty sloppy. It's better to eat with a knife and fork. I was told it was good. The sweet potato fries have cayenne pepper on them. The chopped salad with tofu was also disappointing. The tofu had a weird bbq type sauce. The server was nice and she was fine. The atmosphere is more high scale. Just disappointed in the taste of the food and portion to cost. Cool experience being on campus but you're paying for it.

I have not yet had the pleasure of trying anything off of Fatbird's normal menu. I'll try to keep this review quick since it is pretty specific but long story short, we loved the unique and well made food and the service and vibes were great! So while Fatbird is known for their chicken sandwiches, my bf and I ordered the $40 lunch for two from this special 2026 menu, which was heavily indigenous Latin American-inspired in the ingredients. For the starter, we shared 8 sweet plantains slices which were yummy but we wish we had more. Then for our main, we split one grilled jerk chicken sandwich with VERY unique ingredients like a pickled green tomato as well as two creative tacos with tender shredded pork and more pickled veg. The tacos were spicy as heck and definitely not for the faint of heart! Lastly, we split a small bowl of arrow con leche brule, which helped bring the heat down from the tacos. While we didn't leave full, we had fun trying a curated and very unique set of dishes with interesting flavors, textures, and spices. The other 4 people we ate lunch with ordered a variety of stuff from the normal menu, some of which are in my attached pictures. My bf also ordered himself a pineapple tepache to sip on, which was $8, and I got myself a diet coke with lemon ($3). Our waitress was on top of her game and was very friendly. The interior is cute and spacious and the bathroom is cute and clean. I love a clean bathroom! Their normal menu has 8000 things I want to try next time! As for this special menu lunch, we paid, after tax, tip, and a credit card surcharge, a total of $67. A bit high for lunch, but good vibes all around!

What left me puzzled is food. What I loved were fries, round shaped which I thought was rather unusual and just the right amount of salt, crispiness, softness inside. That's about it though. As a main dish I picked prosciutto focaccia and while on paper it looked great, it came out very dry, almost stale, I didn't enjoy it at all. While fries were great, the portion of it was tiny. Like, 10 or 11 fries in a small plate. My partner got a chicken sandwich and it was good. Now, the kids got kids burger which comes with fries too and I swear the kids plate had double the fries compared to my side. We also got kids pasta and it was the same size as someone's pasta from our party. I mean, great value for kids menu items, sure, but I'm just not sure why adult dishes are so slim compared to kids. When they brought the check we noticed two items in it that we didn't order, which we realized after paying for it and looking at the receipt (they use portable terminals and have an option to text you the receipt). Our server corrected the mistake and refunded the difference for the two items we didn't order promptly after we pointed it out but this still left a bad aftertaste for us; we don't always look at receipts and this one would've gone unnoticed for sure, we only looked because total seems a bit too high. I also noticed that the soup upcharge on the menu is $2, but on the check it was $3. Pointed it out to the server too but she didn't do anything about it. It's just a dollar so we didn't press for it, and again, only noticed it because we started looking at the receipt due to unusually high total. Anyway, it was nice to visit, but we won't be back.

The photos looked incredible, and the stellar reviews confirmed it wasn't just good lighting. I was sold--even if Waze had other ideas! After my GPS took me on a scenic tour of South Bend, I almost gave up. I called the restaurant, and the staff graciously guided me in. From the outside, the brick building looks like a standard office, but once you step inside, you realize you've stumbled upon a total hidden gem. It feels like a beautiful secret. Upon entering, the entire staff welcomed me so warmly that I felt like I was catching up with old friends. I walked past the elegant bar and chose a seat in the dining room. The ambiance is romantic, relaxing, beautifully decorated, and quaint--yet completely comfortable if you are dining alone. I opted for the tasting menu, which is served as a total surprise. For a true foodie, this is pure heaven. I didn't dislike a single dish. In fact, each plate brought so much joy that I caught myself closing my eyes just to savor the flavors and the atmosphere. As I told the staff on my way out: "The food was so good, it makes you want to cry!" (Happy tears, of course!). If you're a local who hasn't been, GO. If you're traveling for work, GO. If you have a special occasion, GO. Life is short--take the road trip to South Bend just for Roselily. The menu changes so I'll be back every chance I get! My only actual complaint?
