I ordered the grilled chicken sandwich and it came with a very small amount of fries which were not hot and it was $25. Service was good. Bartender served a slow dining room and kept up on tables. Food was mediocre at best. Nice ideas but hits the mark in many little ways. Nachos cold. Mac and cheese with salmon dry and salmon was a little over on the shelf life. We enjoyed the cheese curds. Everything was well over priced even for a hotel restaurant. Very expensive. I'm not shy to pay for good food but the prices here for what you get is wow and not in a good way. Only reason for the 3 stars is because we enjoyed the service. read more

We have been enjoyed Traditions for several years now and glad they are back to regular hours. During our many stays we frequent the morning breakfast and dinner as the area has added many options. First and foremost we always look for Jessica, we are not bar or sports patrons, but always enjoy her recommendations and company! (And an occasional TV channel change to non-sports). She is very friendly, knowledgeable and professional!! Sone of our fave dishes include, the pork chop, ribeye, nachos, French onion soup and our new favorite Chicken Parmigiana . The executive chef has really created some tasty dishes and appreciate the breakfast buffet setup with attendants to serve. The clean up attendants are super friendly and accommodating. Thanks for another great stay At Embassy Suites at ND! PS- hope Room Service or lunch service can resume sometime soon!!! We would enjoy many more meals in house. :) read more

Stop in, place wasn't busy. Waiter stood talking to a gentleman at the bar who was later identified as executive chef just chatting. Took a little bit, he made it over to the table usual restaurant routine. We place our orders and watch the waiter continue visiting with the gentleman at the bar another guess. A short time while later the lady comes out with our dishes, which by the way looked delicious. My daughter said dad mines cold, I stirred mine up, and it was room temperature. The other person and our party had a $15 grilled cheese was Just a clump of hard cheese. The young lady that brought the food to the table asked how everything was and we shared with her that the food was cold and she seemed genuinely concerned. She introduced herself as the executive manager of traditions. She offered to have new dishes made but even with her bringing the order to the table I had concerns about what happened to these dishes that we just ordered. My concern was that one item wasn't done, and they were just left sitting in the kitchen either by a vent or fan. We found it very odd that when we were sharing our concerns she covered up her name tag and said this is it my name I forgot my name take it home so I'm just wearing somebody else's. Then she brought out a business card and said the information was incorrect but the email address was correct. I don't think it's a bad restaurant it's very beautiful, the food looked amazing. Personally when I go there again probably not, there are many selections in the city. I do wish them the best. P.S. I also understand that restaurants are struggling to find good help. read more

The service, food and ambiance was amazing. The Hilton brand got it right with this one. Brienna was an AMAZING waitress. She is the gold standard of what all of Hilton brands should resemble and every waitress should. She went above and beyond of what was asked and her customer service was natural and genuine. Was at the hotel less than 12 hours for a lacrosse tournament during covid...ordered room service only, but the pastor tacos were absolutely outstanding and highly unexpected. I'm a litle bit of a Mexican food snob being from Texas, but these were so flavorful with a delicious chimichurri. I don't know when i'll get back there, but would definitely visit again! read more

I was in town for the ND vs Navy football game, this restaurant was inside the hotel which we didn't know before picking it off the review list. We got a burger and wings to share, the burger was juicy and tasty. Our waiter recommended the Old Bay dry rubbed seasoned wings and they did not disappoint! Was a bit pricey, burger $17 and wings $15 for getting 9 bone in wings. Overall the food was good quality and it was a nice setting, just a bit expensive. So nice to have a new option near campus to gather with friends and family. It's a large, beautifully decorated space with a menu full of interesting food and drink options. There are seasonal cocktails and a nice selection of beer & wine. The bartender, Jessica was very friendly and helpful. I'm glad I didn't read the reviews before coming here because I may have went somewhere else instead. I'm staying at the hotel and didn't feel like going out so decided to get dinner at the bar. I asked the bartender Sarah if the short ribs were good and she said yes, so I ordered them. I love short ribs and have been wanting them for a couple of weeks. I travel a lot for work and eat out often but don't see them on the menu too often. This was for sure one of the best short ribs I've ever had. It was cooked perfectly, fork tender and had great flavor. If I'm ever back in town I'll eat here again without hesitation. read more

We had the best experience here ever tonight! We had been on the road for hours and had expected a normal subpar hotel restaurant experience but instead were greeted with amazing customer service, great food and great environment. We were first treated so kindly by the Hilton front desk staff. Then we were greeted so warmly by the manager Jess at Traditions that we decided to stay there for dinner. Our server and bartender Arianna was so kind and catered to our two picky daughters that it made it easy for us to relax and decompress from our drive! Our server was gracious and very attentive. The food was AMAZING!!! The pork chop was large and perfectly cooked with a delicious glaze and delicious mashed potatoes. The salmon was also perfectly grilled. The vegetables were excellent, especially the roasted cauliflower. The food was served hot, which we really appreciated! We went after a few positive experiences - have to be honest, tonight was a disaster. They messed up our drinks twice, we were nice and they remade them. we were then brought our meals - after waiting 45 minutes - the chicken was completely raw and the short rib was overdone, couldn't cut through one side - we didn't complain about the rib because we felt bad; especially since the waiter was nice so we made sure to tip good but we were still charged for the drinks we didn't drink.. the manager never came and apologized even after she saw the raw chicken and was clearly upset. On Sept. 22, 2019, My family went to Traditions for our son's birthday. There were 6 adults and one child. Two adults ordered spaghetti and meatballs. The meatballs were burned and not eatable. We were compensated for the meatballs on the bill. Two adults ordered salmon which were not cooked correctly and white rice was substituted for Jasmine rice with no explanation. Another adult ordered chicken and waffles. The chicken was more the size of a pigeon. The waitress neededto be reminded to fill the beverage glasses. I almost hate to post as don't want to lose my advantage of this niche space! But they deserve some kudos. This is a very nice restaurant space within the new Embassy Suites. We had a pre game dinner before a hockey game last month and were impressed by the high quality of service (TJ), variety of food selection wears good without being overwhelmingly large menu, and quality of the food. For another event this past weekend, I booked using Open Table. Our group grew (and grew) and F&B managerJessica, and her team did an outstanding job responding by setting up a perfect space for us (18), managing great service (again by TJ), and really accommodating our timing and size. Food again was flavorful. While food delivery was not all at same time, I don't fault kitchen or wait staff. 18 people all ordering different things. They did pretty darn well on that. The evening was enhanced by our cocktails and meal at Traditions, a great kick off to our weekend of events. read more
