    Loveee this place. We've been to both the downtown and uptown location. Both great! I would say I prefer the one uptown more just because I feel like their menu was bigger. However the ambiance of the downtown location is nicer. Everything on their menu is good! So really no specific recs as we've tried most of it and does not disappoint!

    (also posted on Google) This Sichuan restaurant was so good, I came here twice in two days. I had to bring more friends to share and try more dishes. This location is in downtown on Yonge Street. Upon entering, you can sit anywhere you want. The booth chairs are fun, but a bit odd to eat over the table. The server was very friendly. He would come back to ask if we were doing ok. Dishes I would get again: -Water boil fish. This broth was so good that I actually drank it with rice (despite all the chili oil). This is spicy and so flavorful. It's not for the faint of heart. Actually, if you don't like spicy or numbing food, maybe Sichuan isn't for you. -Crispy chicken. This was made with chicken breast, and I never loved chicken breast more. -Crispy pork. This was cut into smaller, thinner pieces. It was easier to eat. I love the flavor/fragrance. -Fried tofu. This is really good as an appetizer. Dan dan noodles were on the salty side for me. It's good to try, but I wouldn't get it again. The water boil beef had too much oil (more than the fish version), and the beef was too tough. The menu is repetitive, so it's a bit confusing. I think you can stick to the chef's recommendations, and you'll be good. The bathrooms are down the stairs. Credit card/apple pay accepted.

    Summerlicious - 2024 ($35) Its very easy to say the vibes and food are good here, but what I greatly appreciated was the transparency for the portion sizes here. We were informed by the waiter that multiple diners prior to us were unable to finish 1 persons worth of food and advised us to split the menu between the 2 of us. I love the integrity behind those words as its not just money oriented. We chose assorted beef skewers, dumplings, deep fried tofu, and some other dishes pictured below. Honestly, I can't even think of anything more to write as you just have to see how clean the graphic design came out capturing the restaurant vibes.

    Miss Fu downtown is a vibe!! Love their booth seats, the disco lights and music at night just makes it so fun LOL! We tried a variety of items, loved their small dishes! And for the skewers, I personally liked their Beef lover skewer set with Dry rub seasoning. Great customer service, our waiter explained everything clearly and made sure the dishes were at the perfect spice level for us.

    This place is great for those who like spicy food and are familiar with Szechuan cuisine. As a desi person this menu was a shock to me as everything was very unique except for these things I had ordered. So I personally wouldn't go back just cause it's not my cup of tea. But for those who like this type of food may love it. The actual restaurant inside is very pretty though and clean too. Service is also good.

    Saw all the Yelpers going to this event and noticed that part of their dessert menu is the mochi (black sesame filling) with kinako and brown sugar - had to try it! Added on the other cooling dessert (che, as we would call it in Vietnamese) and it contained jelly, watermelon, raisin, hawthorn berry (crushed), mango boba - refreshing! We added on a deep fried tofu in oil and garlic sauce and it was a nice app to share! The service was outstanding! The ambiance is just cool and welcoming! Prices were fantastic! Everything came out under $20!

    I'm no stranger to Miss Fu in Chengdu. My first experience was at a Yelp event, but since then, I've revisited and brought some friends who hadn't tried this spot yet. The food offers incredible value, especially given its central location downtown near Yorkville. They also have a location in North York. I've tried a variety of items, and the crispy tofu has kept me coming back just for it. At only $5.99 for a long tray of crispy tofu with a kick of spice, a great deal. My partner and I are usually quite timid when it comes to Szechuan spice, so we tend to avoid Szechuan spots due to not liking numbing sensation. However, if you order carefully and choose broths that aren't spicy, you should be fine. On this visit, we ordered both the dan dan noodles and their new cold Szechuan noodles. My partner and I enjoyed the subtly comforting warm dan dan noodles, while the server and my other friends preferred the tang and spice of the Szechuan noodles. We had the chicken broth skewers with little spice and no numbing. We also ordered a second bowl with spicy broth. Although we can handle the mild spicy numbing bowl, we agreed that the chicken broth was the tastier choice. We might have been better off with no spice in the chicken broth, as we detected a slight numbing effect but still tasty and we could handle it. The brothy skewers also included melon, veggies, and enoki mushrooms swimming in the broth, so make sure to scoop some out to enjoy. Although I didn't order a drink on this occasion, I recommend getting the slush drink as it helps cool down the heat from spicy food. We also enjoyed their new cold long beans that come with a sweet soy flavour. Overall, it's definitely a worth it experience especially if you enjoy spice and if you're not too familiar or not into numbing spice, you still have some great options at this spot.

    My friend had randomly stumbled upon this restaurant on yonge and isabella street a while ago and took us all back as she said it was amazing...and she was not lying! It's an authentic Sichuan restaurant that specializes in different skewers however we just ordered a bunch of small side dishes and they were all delicious. We got the sour and hot noodles, Dan Dan noodles (made vegetarian), smashed cucumbers, chicken wings, dumplings, brown rice and sesame paste mochi balls, and a side of rice. Everything was packed with flavour and so well priced. The service was a little slow that night but not bad. We will definitely be coming back!

    I came here with my mom on a Friday evening without reservations and got seated right away. We ordered the Seafood skewers, spicy wontons, and dan dan noodles to share. It was a lot of food for two people, so I'd recommend just ordering two dishes since the skewers were a lot. The dan dan noodles weren't my favorite (2/5), I thought they were pretty bland. It had a little spice to it, which I wasn't expecting, so I didn't necessarily enjoy it. The seafood skewers were good (3/5) but it had a lot of repeat seafood (ie. fish cake, imitation crab meat, octopus, etc). I would say the quality of seafood wasn't the highest. I think the only "real" seafood was the octopus and the shrimp. The broth is also really spicy, so be prepared for that, because I wasn't. The last dish we got was the spicy wontons (3/5). It was good but I didn't like the spicy sauce. Overall, if you like Szechuan spicy, you'd love this place. But I don't like it, and wasn't expecting that type of spice at this restaurant since it wasn't really advertised that way. At least, I didn't interpret it that way. The restaurant itself is big, plenty of seating. It was busy too, so it definitely is a popular spot.

    Miss Fu in Chengdu is the hottest spot for hot pot that I've come across in Toronto! The deep fried tofu alone is worth a visit, and if you share a broth (you'll want to, there's so much you can't possibly finish it yourself), I recommend pouring any leftover garlic sauce from the tofu into the bowl, it's just that good! My friend and I ordered the medium spicy chicken broth, and it had the perfect amount of kick! They changed the ordering system from the last time I dined here, swapping the pen and paper menu for a QR code that allows you to order from your phone. Instead of chairs, our table was surrounded by couches, which were a little low for the height of the table, but comfortable to lean back on once we'd eaten our weight in food. For everything Miss Fu offers, the price point is extremely reasonable. I look forward to dining here again soon!

    Came out here on a cold, rainy December evening. We managed to walk in and grab the last table. It was super busy with other diners eating. The staff are super friendly and are accommodating in terms of answering questions and taking food orders if you are not comfortable using the qr code. The food arrived promptly and as you can see from the pictures it was good. There were many other dishes available on the menu, the items we got were enough to feed 3 people at our table. Will return in the future.

    Popular chinese chain restaurant specialising in Sichuan food. Chengdu is a great place to visit in China but if you can't make it there this place will bring the food to you. Unfortunately due to my personal tastes, I struggled to eat here as their mildly spicy was the limit of my spice tolerance. But everyone I ate with loved the food. We got a hot and sour glass noodle bowl, a bunch of skewers hotpot, and some deep fried mochi desserts. All tasted quite authentic. The price is a bit more than a typical cheaper Chinese restaurant but the service is also much better than most Chinese restaurants. The staff could easily be waved down, they would come refill water, and were generally very pleasant. I really liked how their chairs were comfy sofas and couches. Very pretty decor inside too

The posters outside caught my eye, and I decided to come back with a group of three friends to try it out. We came a bit late around 8 PM, and most of the fish were already sold out except the original. We ended up ordering the Signature Spicy Grilled BBQ Fish ($40), a whole fish served bubbling hot with three toppings (potatoes, spam, and lotus root). You can choose between catfish and turbot, we chose the turbot fish. It looked extremely spicy, but the spice level was actually perfect. It was a bit on the oily side, but pairing it with rice balanced it out nicely. The fish was very tender and buttery, everything tasted amazing! We also ordered the Stir-Fried Egg with Tomato. The eggs were soft, the tomato sauce was rich. Not to mention the portion size was huge, we even had leftovers after eating until we were full. The restaurant itself was spacious, clean, and had plenty of seating. I think they were doing some sort of promotion so they gave us a $25 off coupon, though it expired pretty quickly so we didn't get to use it. I'd definitely come back for that grilled fish.

The Hunan cuisine is listed as "Hunan Noodles" and the Szechuan cuisine is listed as "Chopfire Menu". The Szechuan dishes are listed with 1 to 3 chilies representing the spiciness. If you can't handle spicy, then avoid eating the chili pieces and you might "survive". The restaurant decided to minimize their food offerings so that they can focus on refining their dishes in terms of quality and taste, including from customer feedback. We ordered the following: 1. Signature Spicy Grilled BBQ Fish ($39.95). 2. Home Stir Fried Beef ($21.95). 3. Bullfrog with Baby Ginger ($19.95). 4. Stir-Fried Cauliflower with Preserved Pork ($15.95). 5. Drunk Oolong (charcoal roasted oolong tea base) x 2 ($5.95 x 2). 6. Lemon Taro Balls ($7.95). We also saw the following: 7. Stir-Fried Sliced Pork with Green Pepper Noodle Soup ($9.99). The BBQ Fish, a Turbot Fish, was very fresh and flaky, easily coming off the bone. There is no head attached like at typical Chinese restaurants but it would not have fit in the platter. The platter had a delicious sauce (soupy consistency and not sweet), luncheon meat slices, lotus root slices, and two other vegetables, along with chili pieces. The entire dish tasted great together with the various flavours. The menu listed it as 2-chili spicy but I could handle it by avoiding the chili pieces. The Home Stir Fried Beef is tender. It is listed as 3-chili but I could handle it by avoiding the chili pieces. The Bullfrog with Baby Ginger has the bullfrog cut up in little pieces; no you don't see a whole frog! The meat was actually good but most pieces have bones in it, so it takes time to eat it carefully. There was ginger slices in it but it, but we thought the slices were quite large! The Stir-Fried Cauliflower with Preserved Pork was very delicious! It came in a sizzling plate. The Cauliflower was flavourful and was not crunchy and not too soft. I've never had preserved pork slices before; it was quite good, not as salty as Chinese preserved vegetables. The Drunk Oolong has comes in a small bowl a with gin and ice. On the side, they include pieces of the charcoal roasted oolong tea leaves so you can smell it; quite a good smell indeed. You can also order it without the gin, which is what I ordered for mine (since I don't drink alcohol). It was such a nice drink! The Lemon Taro Balls dessert was pretty. In the centre was a slice of lemon. The customer service was good. There is plenty of indoor table and counter seating, including a small private room at the back. There is also an outdoor patio during warmer weather. There is pop music playing in the background. There is no free WiFi. The restaurant is wheelchair accessible, but there is no door-open button. There are two gender-neutral washrooms downstairs, so they are not wheelchair accessible. There is paid neighbourhood street parking. Review 2025-026

From the moment we walked in, the space already set the tone.. dark, dramatic, elegant, and beautifully designed without feeling overly stiff. It has that upscale energy that makes dinner feel like an occasion before you've even ordered anything. Food-wise, there was a lot to love. The signature apple wood roasted Peking duck was definitely a highlight, especially with the tableside carving, which made the whole experience feel even more polished and memorable. The skin had that beautiful lacquered finish, and the duck was rich, flavorful, and very satisfying. We also ordered a few larger dishes for the table, and I really appreciated how everything still felt refined without losing that comforting, indulgent side of Chinese dining. Some dishes leaned rich and luxurious, others were lighter and more aromatic, so the meal never felt repetitive. Service was another standout. Attentive without hovering, smooth without being too formal.. exactly the kind of service you hope for in a restaurant like this. Overall, Mott 32 is absolutely the kind of place I'd come back to for a special dinner, celebration, or just one of those nights when you want the meal to feel a little more elevated than usual.

    Finally back for dim sum…read more First off, they need to fix their reservation system. Don't accept 1:45pm reservations if the dining room closes at 2pm. Also, when we call to check if dim sum is being served, it makes sense to inform us of the dining room closure instead of having us come in anyway. We settled for eating in the lounge which ended up being good because bartender, Aiki?, was excellent as our server. Really great. Ordered the following: King prawn Har gow: standard. Not worth the premium Mott charges. Miso black cod dumpling: not good. Wouldn't order again Shredded Peking Duck Spring Roll, Sliced Vegetable : Excellent. We loved this! Nice and crunchy. Delicious duck inside. Good vinegar dipping sauce. Good volume Hot & Sour Iberico Pork Shanghainese Soup Dumplings: Fantastic and unique. The dumplings don't really need dipping sauce since inside there is a hot and sour soup along with pork. These are unique and delicious. Fried Wagyu beef taro croquette : pretty good but really tasted like a Jamaican patty Cold noodle with shredded duck : very generous with meat. Honestly a lot more than any other restaurant that serves this. To be fair no one charges this much either so it should. Flavour could be stronger but certainly decent. Fresh Mango, Coconut, Glutinous Rice Roll: nice fresh dessert. Our favourite. Frozen xiao long bao with chocolate and nut: Tastes like a mochi. Not bad. Dragonball Zen - fun name. Delicious drink. Jasmine Dragon Ball Infused Tanqueray Gin / Peach Liquor Lime / Rose Water / Mint / Seltzer Over $200 for this meal before tip. It's premium an debatable if with it. Will be back but just occasionally.
