I visited for the first time on Saturday, 21 December 2019 (2:30pm) for the ballet performance of…read morethe Nutcracker. I got free tickets thanks to Yelp so I invited my friends (Christina P., Lesly N., Gabby H. and her mum). THE NUTCRACKER -- The ballet performance on 21 December 2019 was put on by students ranging from elementary school age to high school. The students performed awesome. I especially loved the part of the show with all the foreign dancing. My favourite were the acrobatics style dancers who did twists, turns, and flips (the female was dressed like the character from Disney's Aladdin). They were really flexible and excellent. Overall, the young male and female ballet dancers from the whole show were great. LOCATION -- The Westlake Performing Arts Center is on the grounds of Westlake High School. The school campus is huge as evident from the large parking lot. I recommend coming to watch a show here. Of course, the production you may see probably won't be as grand as a show at Playhouse Square in downtown Cleveland but it will still be worth it. Thanks Yelp for a fun evening out. **** - 164 total reviews in 2019 - 373 total overall Yelp reviews - Reviewed on 22 December 2019

DO NOT PAY $15 FOR THIS. Music Man at the Olde Towne…read moreHall Theatre (this theatre was formed in the 70s btw... the extra "e"s don't really seem necessary) was by far the worst musical theater I have ever seen. This was a show simply for moms to see their children in a musical. It was about 70% children, which is definitely not how this show was advertised, however simply having a lot of kids in a show isn't a deal breaker. I'm not hating on the kids, but all I'm saying is all those awards I see these kids winning on Facebook have a lot less grandeur to them now. The real problem was the absolutely horrible directing. None of the actors were in character the entire first half, and when they were, it wasn't exactly right. The actresses, when expressing the right genre of acting, were acting like it was 2017 instead of 1912. The makeup was weird, and one character was just really shiny. The pit was terrible. The show was not all bad! The Mayor was very funny, Marcellus was pretty good, Hill was neutral (though forgot/changed his lines sightly very often), and Marian was charming. The second half was very good because it consisted of me driving home. Something needs to change. I know shows at this theater used to/can be good, but Music Man of 2017 (1991s was pretty good) can NEVER happen again, no matter how much little Jimmy wants to be in a musical. This was sad.

My daughter has participated at OTHT and LOVES IT! The people are very nice and charming, and the…read moretheatre is quaint and sticks to a traditional feel. Shows are phenomenal, though the pit is sometimes lacks along with set design. However, the talent completely makes up for it. I have seen numerous shows over the past couple of years and yes I may be biased to my daughter, but I can wholeheartedly say this theatre is truly talented and amazing! I hope they could move into a bigger space, thought I understand trying to keep the "old town hall" in Olde Towne Hall Theatre. All in all an amazing and talented theatre, though I think the people are better performers than the space that they work in!

Lot of tables and I can assume it gets crazy loud during top hours. It is pleasant inside though. The food was also a mix. Lobster Bisque wasn't the worst We've ever had, but close. Not a busque. Not a chowder. More like a heavy soup. Flavor was more imitation crab than Lobster. But like most bars nobody complains as they drink with their food. The Gnocci alla Vodka however was amazing. Best I've had in Ohio. The gnocci wasn't perfect, but the sauce was fabulous. Gritty, full of sausage and the bite of the vodka sauce was very reminiscent of a good bolognese. Bread was a poor choice for this meal. Pretzel bread is great for burgers and beer but not for delicate flavors. Miss there too. Low review for service and food. I'd go back to try it again to re-review but it's a firm 2. Better places in the area to go.
