Delicious omg! The tofu was definitely a table favorite. I think they've revamped their menu so the new food items have improved. Such good flavor overall and great service. The restaurant is p spacious and I didn't have to wait too long. All the tables around us had a huge soup/pot so we need to go back for that.

Miss Shang absolutely delivered. I ordered the spicy beef noodles and chicken skewers, and both were out of this world. The noodles had deep, rich flavor with just the right level of heat, and the spices were on point--bold, fragrant, and unforgettable. The chicken skewers were perfectly grilled, juicy, and packed with seasoning in every bite. What really elevated the experience was the ambiance. The music was calm and relaxing, creating a vibe that made me want to slow down and just enjoy the food--honestly made me eat more than I planned. If you're looking for flavorful, satisfying comfort food with a chill atmosphere, this spot is a must-visit.

The former Hunan Mifen location has transformed into a Yunnan-style restaurant called Miss Shang. I was happy to see that my favorites--the spicy beef bone noodles and wild mushroom rice--are still on the menu despite the change in concept. On this visit, we ordered the Roasted Chicken Paella, which takes about 40 minutes to prepare, so ordering ahead is recommended. The rice was aromatic and packed with flavor from the chicken and morel mushrooms, while the chicken was tender and juicy. A standout appetizer was the Yunnan-style crispy tofu. Crispy on the outside, soft on the inside, and tossed with plenty of fresh herbs, it was both flavorful and refreshing. We also enjoyed the tomato soup with meatballs--the meatballs were fragrant, juicy, and pleasantly bouncy. Don't skip dessert. The rice-flavored ice cream was creamy, chewy, and not too sweet, with a texture similar to gelato. The Pu-erh tea ice cream was equally delicious, with a rich tea flavor that came through beautifully. Overall, Miss Shang offers a unique Yunnan dining experience with thoughtfully prepared dishes and memorable flavors.

the wild mushroom and egg over rice clay pot was SO GOOD (no onion and no garlic). I'd definitely come back an order this again. the mushrooms tasted super fresh and the egg was perfectly runny. wish there were more vegetarian options on the menu though. this place replaced hunan mifen, but the price point increased significantly.

They have a lot of options and combos just make sure you look carefully. Bathrooms are clean. They have sake, beer, and non-alcoholic drinks. You can do single up to 4 soups. Be careful some of the broths are spicy but doesn't say so make sure you ask. Meat quality is greattttt. A lot of veggies and soup options are great, try the unique ones. I heard fish maw chicken broth is the best. Their spicy level is spicyyyy, not American style so aim low can always go up not backwards. My friend ordered and messed up we were stung but the owner Kenny was so nice said they usually don't replace broths but they knew it's our first time and we were dying and that service made the experience that much better cuz it showed they cared. Honestly, ask for recs and it'll be worth it. Also the food platter is good for pics, but i recommend ordering meat one by one so you can try more. Beef tongue was good, premium angus was good. I wanna try all the other meats. My friend ordered the grand beef platter it's one type of beef, it's good but there's better options. My friend ordered tom yum we died from spice. He also orders spicy mala he was dying pretending he was fine. We had to switch to pork bone. I would do pork bone, tomato, and fish maw/chicken. Great service great food, just do order spicy stuff and it ruins your taste buds. Thanks Kenny.

It's a fixed set with 9 different ingredients (Tofu sheet strips, kelp knots, vegetable, spicy chicken gizzards, quail eggs, mystery spicy beef, beef omasum, numbing beef tongue, and pink jelly beef) plus a selection of beef or lamb. The vegetable was ok. But there were some really suspicious items served. It appeared that they served low quality meat and in order to tenderize the meat, they add baking soda and water into the meat then pour a large amount of oil to create a sealing layer. You can see from the photos the translucent pink jelly appearance and foamy substance. The thin-cut beef was really lean (I over heard other tables were complaining), which I don't mind. Service was great so I didn't give it a 1star.

We got: -Tom yum & creamy tomato soup -wagyu beef chuck eye roll, prime angus short and beef short ribs & New Zealand lamb -fish ball with roe, spam, & corn + it came with other veggies -udon noodle & house noodle and the food came out pretty quick. The side/sauces are on a cart and they have recommendations on which sauces to combine which is helpful. The soup was flavorful and tasty. The tom yum was not spicy (maybe cause my tolerance for spice is high). The meats were good too. Service was great and they came to refill out water and soup a few times. Then we paid via the phone on the QR code. There is a large parking lot and two restroom stalls for the women's restroom. I would come back here again!

It's AYCE and located near the beach by a little shopping area in Pacifica. Beautiful area. The hosts greeted us with their great smile and sat us down right away. We chose the BBQ pot (half bbq to grill your meats and soup like shabu). I had the coconut pork bone soup and my hubby had the mushroom soup. Both were very tasty and the spice was spot on. They had a variety of meat choices and yes prime beef ribeye! You can either grill it or drop it on your soup. You can also create your condiments to dip your grilled meats. The rib eye, beef belly, pork belly were my favorites. You can tell the meats were of high quality and were fresh. You only need to grill the rib eye medium rare and wow it's amazingly delicious!!! Also they have a wide variety of appetizer, vegetable, seafood, tofu, I can go on! The Kalbi ribs as one of the appetizer was one of the best Kalbi I ever had. The marinate was sooo yummy and the meat was tender! The service was also amazing! They checked on us constantly and our orders came so quickly, it was unbelievable. Yes we were stuffed and happy! The green tea ice cream at the end cleansed our palette and it was a great dessert to end the meal. Afterwards we walked a few steps and the view of the beach was mesmerizing! This place is one of the best grilled and shabu place I have ever been. Wish we had one like this in SF, but the scenic drive to Pacifica is worth coming here. Mark this restaurant in your bucket list as a must try. You will not regret it!

Our reservation was at 7pm and the restaurant started to fill up. It's not that big inside, but they also have a few tables outside. Each person had their own burner, but since I was sitting at the end, I had to share it with my mom. Not a big deal since I always like the broth that she ordered. All of us ordered half hot pot/skillet, so we can enjoy both types of cooking. I liked that one person was in charge of ordering for their group to minimize confusion and multiple orders. The food came out quickly for us to cook. I really enjoyed the New Zealand Lamb and all the vegetables. I wasn't a big fan of the sauces that we were able to customize at the sauce station since they were just normal Asian sauces. Overall a great place to come for AYCE. The price was also reasonable - $41.99 per person for 90 minutes. There is free parking available since it's located in a plaza. Our family had a great time which is all that matters.

This explains why the restaurant is empty at prime time. I should have taken a picture of my food. The beef was not fresh. The plate of vegetables was quite pathetic. It was so water down. I had to add in other sauces to give it some taste. I sat at the end of the bar next to the kitchen. There was such a bad smell that was coming from that way but I could not pin point what it was. I was there for less than 25 mins.
