Had a great time doing the Escape the Video Store room. We had four of us do the room and we beat it in 42 minutes. We had a great time, it was one room but fun clues and puzzles throughout. We'll be doing the cabin next time we have a few friends in the area. Super fun! read more

My mother booked this adventure when I came to visit her in Carmel,CA. This has a great location right on Cannery Row in Monterey. Right across from Bubba Gump. Although it is hard to spot unless you know exactly where you are going. This was my first escape room visit and I truly enjoyed myself. KJ, the owner, greeted us and oriented us on the whole experience. She made it so fun and enjoyable. We, my mother, my brother and I decided to do the hard level. It was quite challenging but also wonderful clues and concept. I definitely want to go back and try the video escape room across the way. Thanks KJ for an amazing experience and atmosphere. Having done "escape boxes" before, this was our first escape room experience and we're already looking forward to the next. "Cabin Heist" was fun, challenging, had an interesting room concept/theme, and a variety of game mechanics. With a group of 5, we could each explore the room on our own at first and work on different puzzles & unlocking clues, then convene as the puzzles intertwined and move forward together. KJ was a great host/intel operator - outgoing & personable. We appreciated the post-game discussion & also nice that she pointed out how each of us contributed to solving the puzzles. read more

Looks like a very simple design, but don't let that fool you! Had an awesome time with this challenge. Couldn't stop talking about it for the rest of the day. If you ask for clues, they are a little hard to hear, but they are helpful without being super obvious. Good job! read more

It's just eh. Nothing crazy special about it. The puzzles are challenging but don't go with the puzzle. Lots of confusing factors. If this is your first escape room, I wouldn't recommend it. If you're more experienced, still wouldn't recommend it. So much didn't make sense and it didn't flow. The gamemaster was a bit awkward but we got the gist of things. For such an awesome location, I'd expect way better. If you are looking for a dope escape room, go to to the one on lighthouse or by the sardine factory. read more

We've done quite a few Escape Rooms around Monterey Bay, and this newest one was great! The room was well constructed, and you can see they put a lot of quality work into the game and setting. The puzzles were challenging and fun, and we were able to solve it with time to spare! Definitely recommend for a fun time!! read more

Mission 57 was so much. A perfect escape room for 5 best friends in the best location. I loved the cabin theme and the clues were just tough enough without being unrealistically difficult. It was our first time for some of us going to an escape room. We didn't know what to expect, but we had a great time. Our gamekeeper, KJ, was amazing. She went out of her way to make it enjoyable for the family. Both of the escape rooms had it's own challenges and both were fun in their own ways. The Arcade Hero room was slightly larger and allowed us to roam around and explore. I did enjoy the Cabin Heist a little more due to suspense feeling you get in the room and the puzzles were bit more challenging for newbies like us but it kept us engaged the whole time. Some of us were having a bit too much fun laughing at each other the whole time. At the end thumbs up and thank you KJ for being a great gamekeeper. We did the cabin heist room and had a blast! For a few people in our party, this was their first escape room and it was a great choice. KJ was very energetic, welcoming, and helpful through the whole process. Everyone was engaged the whole time (we had 6 people) and the puzzles required all of our combined problem solving skills. We were frustrated with a few difficulties we had in the room but overall, it was a great experience and we highly recommend it. First time trying an escape room and will now definitely keep searching for new ones to do. My brothers and I were showing my aunt who was visiting around cannery row area and saw the signs so decided to go check it out. The price is resealable worth it for the adventure. We didn't quite know what we were getting ourselves into but decided to try it out since there was an available spot right away on the cabin escape room. We were able to finish 40seconds before our time was up! Our group of 9 had a great time! We split into the 2 rooms, one with 5 people and one with 4. The video store room was one of the harder ones we've done, and we were shocked we set the room record by one minute! Our family (two adults, two college-age kids) had a great time at this escape room. The other escape rooms in town have fancier websites, but don't let that deter you - there are so many interesting, fun puzzles to be solved as you work your way through this room, and we were given just enough help to make it out. We've done quite a few rooms in several different locations, and this one had many original elements we'd never seen before. We all had a great time working together, and it made for a great family experience. There was plenty for everyone to do. read more

Mission 57 escape rooms is by far my favorite set of escape rooms I've done. So so so pleased with the puzzles and intricacy of the rooms. You will not be disappointed.
