Service is fantastic! That is something that's hard to come by these days unfortunately, but the staff here is amazing, very friendly, efficient, knowledgeable, respectful, and hard working. The food great, the menu has plenty of options. AND, if you're avoiding gluten, they do have a menu that lists all of their gluten free options which there good options. The staff is also knowledgeable as well. I was picking up my food at the counter as my number was called and the lady who handed my tray to me knew my order was gluten free and even told me about the BBQ sauce to avoid because it has gluten. I was blown away as I don't think I've experienced that before. On that note, there's only one sauce out of the 6 or 7 sauces that has gluten which is another plus. Food is always good. No matter what you are getting. I've personally have had their pulled pork, pulled pork sandwich, pulled chicken sandwich, cheese burger, brisket and their ribs. My go to is usually the pulled pork sandwich or the cheese burger. Think I've probably have had all their sides and desserts. You just can't go wrong! And don't forget their sweet tea! AND...they are introducing a new pickle that they will be selling in jars. They will be available after memorial day. Got to sample them today...yes yes and yes. This is one of my favorite restaurants of all time! The food is always the best, the staff is helpful and happy and fun to talk with and the helpings are extremely generous!! I just ate their Smoked Cheeseburger for the first time tonight along with their Cheesy Potatoes and their Baked Beans with Brisket ... that was the best burger I have had in a long time. First time I've walked out of a BBQ place still hungry, but here we go..... I ordered a sliced beef brisket sandwich and I tried ordering a side of potato salad. But, I was told they don't sell potato salad except for in the Summer! What kind of BBQ joint doesn't have potato salad!? I mean, they sell potatoes all year. I guess they feel it's only for Fourth of July! So, I ordered a side of BBQ beans. A sandwich, beans and a small drink for just over $20?! Besides being disappointed right off the bat, I got my order to find the sandwich bun was rock hard and seemed stale and the order of beans was tiny! Not the kind of BBQ place I want to visit again, and trust me, coming from Texas, I've been to many, many a BBQ joint. Oh, how I wish there was a Terry Black's BBQ or Hard 8 BBQ up here. The manager (I would assume) was amazing! He loaded us up with sauces, everything was fresh and the order was ready before our pick up time and he packed and inspected everything for accuracy. This is a 3.5 for sure, food is solid but portions don't match the price. I got the meat sampler with sliced brisket and pulled pork and it wasn't much to look at. I was drop dead amazed at how good the ribs were. Your mileage may vary. But I generally hate fall off the bone pork ribs. This place had the best ribs I have ... 1) ever gotten at a chain 2) ever eaten out The sauces are on the table (it's post-Covid yinz!) and very good. Even have a bottle of Carolina vinegar sauce like for pulled pork n'at. Seriously, from the food to the service! I mean, City BBQ sux as far as service. This place, wow! Amazingly good! Considering you go down a line after your order and they hit you over the line with your food. So, you expect to get zero table service. But serious. Their sides also include a very good macaroni and cheese served casserole style, along with other sides like Baked Beans with Brisket. The service at Mission Barbeque is always impeccable. The people are always smiling, you get to see your food prepared and they show you your meal before you take it home or to your table to eat. At their Boardman location, I have always gotten great service. Their ambiance is very rustic and unique, displaying signs related to American patriotism and respect to our country's veterans. This business was founded by Veterans of the War on Terror. It is a great place to eat with a great product. It is a growing chain of barbeque restaurants across the country. In NE Ohio, there are three locations: Boardman (near Youngstown), Parma (near Cleveland) and there is one either goin in or already In Niles, Ohio near Warren Ohio. Went in last night for a quick bite as we were attending a graduation the next day and just got into town. We had heard of the chain before, but had never tried it. We went in and you could tell it was going to be good by the smokey smell of barbecue. We ordered our food. The cashier was a very nice guy who also took our order. We got our food and looked at the really cool sauces that were on the table and had to try them all. We got Turkey, brisket, and pulled pork. All very good. The sides were tasty too. Lance, the gentlemen who was working the dining area came by to check on us a couple times. Very friendly and engaged in conversation to find out where we were from and why were we in the area. We told him we had come for the graduation ceremony and five minutes later he returned with four desserts and congratulated us. Visiting the area from California which I do on a regular basis. Highly recommend the bbq here...amazing food, friendly staff and if you're a patriot, they play the national anthem at noon ever day. He spoke to him with a kindness and tone we would all want used with our children when learning at their first job. The line was long (because WOW) moved very quickly. Use your time in line to view the menu and maybe choose a frosty drink from the ice filled tub with a fascinating array of choices. I had the amazing brisket, Mac and cheese, collard greens. Darling husband had 3 meat sampler. Each meal cones with a tasty piece of cornbread. Everything was delicious and cooked to perfection. Tried every sauce, including a special one. Can't say enough great things about this place! You're always greeted right once you walk in, and they get the food out to you super quick, even when they're busy. I come here at least once a week and get their pulled pork sandwich and fries, and it never disappoints! Pulled pork is melt in your mouth tender. We've gotten takeout from Mission a few times. The food has been pretty consistent each time. Ribs and "moist" brisket are the best! They have a huge choice of sauces and will give you as many as you want so you can find your favorite. I like the Smokey Mountain and Memphis Belle. Service is fast so you can be in and out while keeping good distance from other patrons. The food is a tad salty so plan on a BIG glass of your favorite beverage to go with it! read more

Saturday Mission BBQ in Boardman catered the Hubbard VFW annual golf outing. I have to give Sarah from Mission BBQ, a great big thank you for the job that she did for me. When I first sat down with Sarah, she helped me with the menu. I set the time for her to deliver the great food. I had the change the time 3 times! and all 3 times Sarah just said "I'll make it work" never getting upset just saying "I'll make it work". How professional is that to care about your customer do that. She did make it work, Sarah was right on time, and the food was just great! AS ALWAYS!
