Sometimes you just want to pick up a quick dinner on your way home. I found Longhorn's ordering process to be easy. I placed my order on their website and it was ready for pickup in a half hour. When I got to the restaurant, I parked in a "To-Go" place and checked in by text. In a matter of a moment, my dinner was delivered to my car, and off I went. It was that easy. When I got home and unpacked my bag, I was delighted that everything was exactly as I had ordered. The meat was prepared medium, the loaded baked potato came with butter and sour cream plus scallions, bacon and cheese for topping, the mixed green salad came with my choice of dressing and a separate bag of croutons. Excellent service in somewhat loud but relaxed atmosphere. Drinks were good. We had the Wild West shrimp as an appetizer. It was more fried shrimp and some peppers. No sauce which I don't remember being the case. Either way, the shrimp was well cooked and tasty. Wife had a burger and I had the Parmesan crusted chicken with a loaded back potato. First night in youngstown our large group ate out here, staff did a good job keeping up with the needs of the table. Food was delicious, but pricy for the portions. I took my son's steak and mine and put them side by side and they were the same size when cooked. His was a kids steak and mine was 8 oz adult portion. Company should fix that. read more

That garlic and Parma flavor mixed with the earthy flavor from the mushrooms mixed great together. So far the only issue I had was I had to ask for the bread instead of it just coming to the table. People had called off (obviously) today , but there were some stand outs. My waitress Leslie, Kevin the host was amazing helping the whole room. The manager , Chris was bringing out food, clearing tables. Greeting customers. All under pressure , but all very lovely. I can't believe I haven't reviewed this place yet. I really like to eat here. I have had one negative experience of the four times I've been here and I will tell you about it. I came in with a modest size party of six people. The waitress did not bring us utensils I had to track down the utensils myself, she did not fill drinks, and she was generally not a great waitress. She was wearing a 23 mask and was more concerned with her hair. The food is good though, and the service every other time was really good so they will keep a four star review from me. Pretty dissapointed in this place. Went here for late lunch yesterday. This was the first time I'd ever been to Longhorn. Ordered spinach & artichoke dip appetizer, and the Black and Bleu burger. With the burger, instead of fries, I upgraded to mushroom & parmesan risotto from their special menu. The spinach dip was lukewarm at best, bordering on cold. It had some mozzarella on top, but was otherwise flavorless. Didn't taste like it had any parmesan cheese in it, despite what the menu said. It was kinda watery too. The B&B burger was decent. It was cooked well, the brioche bun and the bleu cheese were both good. However, the menu said "Our fresh all-beef burger kicked up a notch with our secret 7-pepper seasoning. Grilled to order and topped with melted blue cheese." (I copied that from their website.) If there was a 7-pepper seasoning, I didn't taste any of it. The special side of mushroom parmesan risotto was also underwhelming. If your fork didn't have one of the parmesan shavings on it, there was no flavor to this dish at all. And there weren't many parmesan shavings. On the plus side, our waitress was very friendly and attentive. BTW...this place also had a funky smell...like the rags or mops they used to clean the place weren't washed very well. I was expecting a lot from a steakhouse with a Texas-y kinda name, and they didn't deliver. Guess I'll stick to Outback and TX Roadhouse. read more

We also had a lovely view our entire meal after being seated in the corner next to the high chairs and stacked dirty dishes. I've actually only been to Lonestar once in my entire life, but I don't feel any reason to return. We had received a GC for Darden for Xmas and decided to try Lonestar as I was craving steak. My BF had been before, but it was my first time. We literally had the worst service I had ever experienced at a restaurant. We ordered an appetizer and it came out completely burnt, had no drinks a majority of our dinner. My steak was over cooked and just was no impressed with my meal at all. Now I don't expect much from chain restaurants but I expected a little bit more then what we received. We ended up even having issues with checking out as the waitress apparently didn't know how to take payments and never returned our credit card. The manager didn't even apologize. But I did get in contact with the DM who was very nice and offered a GC for us to come back. I just have had much better service/food at other chains to bother coming back. read more

As always, was not disappointed by Longhorn. It was my first time at this location and they upheld my general expectation of Longhorn. I got there around 8:30-8:40 PM and was seated right away. The restaurant was clean or being cleaned constantly (after customers left). I listened to the surrounding customers (not eavesdropping) to see if they had any negative opinions but heard none. All the waitresses were very friendly and on top of keeping both cleanliness and customer satisfaction on point. My waitress, Alexa, was very kind and seemed to know exactly the right amount of times to check on me. She didn't do it too much and end up bothering me, and she didn't neglect me. She was very expedient in getting me whatever it was I needed and she did it all with a big smile on here face. I really felt like I wasn't being too much of a bother like most other restaurants make you feel. The cooks also need some praise, as they were the true heroes of my night. My New York Strip was the perfect amount of "extra-rare"ness. It was very juicy and super flavorful. I legitimately took a couple minutes with a couple of my bites just to savor the flavor. The steamed broccoli was also done very well. Not too soggy, not too tough. Just the right amount of crisp. I then ended it with a Red, White, and Blue Cheesecake that tasted even better than it looked. Never in my life have I ever been able to have more than 1 blueberry at a time that was perfectly ripe and juicy but this dessert's blueberries were ALL perfect. As were the strawberry slices. It was just immensely delicious. The only thing I didn't like was that I was too full to finish it all!
