First time coming here, the lady who gave me my sauces was a delight-I should have caught her name. Curly hair. Anyway, a couple thoughts on what I got. I got the pulled pork north carolins sandwich and a double order of the brisket. I got this for $25, it was was well worth it. It's a good amount of food for me, I'll be eating it tomorrow as well but that was the hope! My thoughts: 1.) $25 for the amount of food I got was EXCELLENT! It looks good and I'll be eating it tomorrow as well. 2.) sauce up the pulled pork, I liked the Chicago sauce. It was more like a honey bbq with more depth. Pulled pork needs salt & the sauce helps 3.) cold slaw (??) needs more tang to it, but it adds a nice texture 4.) the beef brisket looks amazing! I got the sampler with 2 choices & just chose double brisket. Haven't tried it yet, but I can tell it won't disappoint. 5.) is probably order my sandwiches saucy in the future, just cuz of the flavor boost. 6.) bun got a bit soggy on pulled pork. I just flipped it around. I guess this kind of sandwich is intended to be eaten messy anyway so it's ok Overall, I'll definitely be back! I stopped in and tried their baked beans. The beans contained bits of smoked beef. The beef was very good. The beans themselves, however, were not very good. The sauce for the beans was painfully sweet and tangy. I will not order them again; they were almost too sweet to eat. read more

Stopped here on a visit to Gb with my son. He likes ribs and brisket, so that's what we had. We tried all of the bbq sauces as well and liked the Texas one the best. The moist brisket was really flavorful with a nice bark. I had the collard greens and they had a little spice too them. My son had the ribs and said they were good. French fries were also great. In town for a couple days for work. Ordered carry-out. The young people working provided exceptional service and the food was very good.

Ribeye was great. The ribs were good as well but the ribeye was nice and tender. The service after we ordered was unexpected, they were attentive and asked how our experience was going. They also asked if it was our first time at the restaurant, which it was. They offered to clear our table when we were done eating and also noticed I ordered the black plate special which was the ribeye and told us it changes often. One of the staff asked if we tried the special peach cobbler and we did not since we thought we ordered plenty. She offered to give us a complimentary cobbler on her since it was our first time there, the cobbler was very tasty. The overall experience was great with the staff experience being the best next to the ribeye. As a thank you for visiting they even gave us 2 free sandwich cards for our next visit. Narrative: Family Trip to Green Bay Food: Lots of different BBQ options. Walking in, you can smell the smoky goodness right away. We tried the brisket (wet), pulled pork, and salmon. The sides we had were fries, beans, and sweet potato casserole. We enjoyed everything. I recommend the smoked meatloaf when it's on special, it looked amazing. My wife and I split a three meat platter with two sides and had plenty of good to share. I loved the sauce variety, each one was unique in its own way. You have six at the table to choose from and a few more seasonal options if those don't work for you. Aesthetic: The restaurant was clean and in tip top shape. Lots of seating options for various group sizes. The whole mission of the chain is to honor those who serve - Military, Police, Fire, EMS. The decoration of the interior shows that appreciation and dedication, especially to hometown heroes. Service: Service here was some of the best in the business. We had never been to this chain and the friendly lady at the front walked us through the whole menu and how to order and made suggestions. Staff came out into the seating area to check on guests, clean up tables, and just say thanks for coming in. They went above and beyond a counter service restaurant. Price: Prices were a tad on the higher side but quality was high and service was excellent. Portions are standard, you won't leave with a to-go box but you will be satisfied. We split a three meat platter - choices included wet or dry brisket, smoked turkey, pulled chicken or pork. We had the wet and dry brisket and turkey. The wet brisket (has fat on it) was the favorite, but the other meats were also good, if a bit drier. The sauces (6 flavors) were all a bit too much or not enough, but the NC vinegar turned out to be a pleasant surprise. The potato salad was blah, with too much of some kind of red seasoning, so it tasted like Lawry's and raw potatoes. Don't recommend. Overall it was pretty good, if pricey. I miss Famous Dave's but this is a good runner up. The atmosphere is military themed with country music playing a bit too loud. Would return, but will also be on the lookout for something better. read more

Stopped in for a large "to go" order and everything was great! What stood out for me was the service. Because it was a bunch of individual orders, I had asked if they would write names on each order so we could easily identify our food (without opening each container). They had not problem with the request... and even put a smiley face on each box! I had the brisket. It was moist and tasty. Portion was good and included a piece of cornbread. For a side I had the green beans with bacon. Had a little spice to it, but not too bad. A really good BBQ place with an even better purpose. Mission BBQ is a strong supporter of veterans and first responders. They reserve a single table representing MIA's. The staff is super friendly and helpful. Politely remove your serving trays from your table when you're finished but no pressure to hurry your stay. The food is good with a decent selection of entrees and sides. Each table has a six pack of different sauces on it for you to try. I suggest ordering one of the meat plates with a side so that you can try each different sauce. So, the order process was easy and great (no need to wait for wait staff) prices were pretty reasonable and that's where the visit changed. Got our food and the ribs were pretty dry and on the cooler side of luke warm (I really hate getting cold food), the fries were good and hot thank god, the corn bread was also cold and not very flavorful. Super disappointing, definitely does not live up to the hype. This is a chain with food that's average at best. The ordering process is easy enough and seems to move fast enough and the people seem friendly, that is where the good ends. This food is ridiculously over salted, spoils the taste. For the portion sizes, it's expensive 2 meat sampler with no sides (came with corn bread that was like a brick) it was $13.60 and it was cold. I had brisket and pulled chicken, they ask if you want brisket lean or moist, if you order moist 50% of it turns out to be an inedible vein of tissue and fat. My friends all got fries, all cold greasy and over salted by their description and one also got Mac-n-cheese that he said was flavorless. The BBQ sauces on the tables (6 to choose from) are mild or sweet, we were offered hot and it wasn't, at least by most people's taste. I don't like anything really spicy and I was able to eat it. This is a barbecue chain that I've visited in other cities across the Midwest. The barbecue is always good and the service is also very good. The only drawback is the prices are a little high for the serving size. But again barbecue is more of a specialty product and demands a higher price. We ordered at work and I've never had such an excellent experience for a take out order. They had it all ready to go but went through each box to show what was in it, make sure it was right before you leave. Outstanding atmosphere! I was greeted by several smiles. This place is very clean inside and out and very patriotic. Lots of military unit patches mounted on the walls.
