The surest way to get me into your establishment is to name it The Bourbon Room. Even more so if you offer your own barrel-aged old fashioneds! Because we had failed to make a reservation, I had time to try both barrel-aged offerings in the bar prior to being seated. The first featured Elijah Craig Bourbon, orange and Angostura bitters, then aged for two months in oak barrels. The second featured Buffalo Trace Bourbon, orange and Angostura bitters, then aged for six months in oak barrels. After being seated in the dining room, we had one of the best meals during our week in Green Bay. The cheese curds were perfect. At our server's suggestion, I tried the cheddar potato bites as a side and they did not disappoint. Parking is a little tricky; there's a very tight lot immediately behind the restaurant, but otherwise it's street parking. read more

A comfortable room There are actually two rooms: a large bar area and a dining room. The cocktails are tasty - some are served with a cherry, mushroom and olive. The food here is excellent. It's good quality, innovative, and delicious! This will be my new go to spot to take people who are visiting. I highly recommend the Asiago pesto loaded fries, and I upgraded my side from fries to cheddar potato bites which were super good and crispy on the outside! Had dinner here on a recent visit to Green Bay. We were a party of 4 and had made reservations for a Sunday evening at 5:30. We were promptly seated on our arrival and didn't need to have made reservations as the dining room was empty. We sat in the bar area to watch an NCAA tournament game. There were a few patrons at the bar and a party of six arrived during our stay. Service was prompt, friendly and attentive. We ordered cheese curds as an appetizer and cups of chicken noodle soup to start our evening. Food arrived quickly. The cheese curds were very good, light end fluffy instead of dense and chewy. The big bowl of (probably 2 cups) of soup was hot and tasteful but unfortunately too heavily salted. Our orders were taken for a chicken sandwich, a burger, a haddock dinner and a half chicken and waffle dinner. Everyone thought their meals plentiful and well prepared. My bill for the soup, chicken and waffle dinner and a soda came to about $27 before tax and tip. We would all recommend this establishment if you're looking for a good casual dinner spot. read more

Hi, Haven't been here in awhile and thought we'd give it another go. We love the drink menu options and the staff is great, however, even though my husband loved the chicken and waffles, the shrimp/crab dip was so full of onions you didn't even know it was a seafood dip. I couldn't eat it. I got the berry walnut salad (supposed to be candied walnuts, were not) with the prawns. The salad was just underwhelming and the prawns were not fully cooked. We were a party of six on a Saturday, arriving before 5 PM. The lighting was dim when we arrived and was significantly reduced after we ordered. Photos at the table were looking dark, so I took fewer. The highlight of our meal was the Seafood Nachos. The full size was perfect for our table of six and disappeared quickly. Our order also included: Firecracker Salmon Wrap, two Spicy Chicken Sandwiches, two MSBR Burgers and a French Dip. The Spicy Chicken Sandwiches and MSBR Burgers were perfectly A-okay. The Firecracker Salmon Wrap was a bit messy to eat and not as tasty as expected. However, the French Dip was pretty amazing. The roll was toasted but also perfectly soft with good chew. The meat was tender and tasty and accented by the melty cheese. Drink orders included: a Boulevardier, BA Old Fashioned, Busch Light and a Lime Basil Vodka Collins. All drinks were satisfactory, A-okay versions. Service was efficient and additional drinks were offered in a timely manner. First off let me say that the food as delicious . We had the shrimp and crab dip and fried cheese curds. My husband had the ribeye steak. I ordered the Philly cheesesteak sandwich. The sandwich was $16....it was supposed to come with green peppers & mushrooms. I asked for extra vegetables...well...the " extras " should have been what the sandwich was supposed to come with the sandwich ( imho) they charged $2.80 for aju when I had 3/4 of the aju left from my sandwich.!!! They charged $6. For green peppers, onions, and mushrooms. I had to search for any mushrooms and found 4 small pieces!!! They charged me for 3 Makers Mark old fashioneds total $37.50, in reality, I had 2 . We do not mind paying good money for good food but $149.43 was too much for what we had! Beware if you go there, ask how much drinks are and if they charge for minimal " extras!! We were impressed! We are in Green Bay a lot and have been searching out new places where we can get good food and drinks. Main Street fits the bill! First of all their knowledge and menu of bourbon is very impressive. But just as impressive is their food menu. Walking in reminds me of going into Cheers. They have a good local crowd and you feel at ease there. We had their cheese curds (of course) which are some of the best I have had in Wisconsin. We had a tremendous meal here. We tried another place first that recently opened but there was over an hour wait so we decided to go to the Bourbon Room. We were not disappointed. We were able to get in right away on a Friday night around 6 pm. Matt, our server,was attentive and made a great recommendation with the Pesto Fries. Cocktails are down right fabulous. It's a regular place we go to and they are always awesome. This was our first time eating dinner here. Ordered the fish on Friday. Good fish, big portions. The cole slaw has to be the worst I have ever had. So I would skip that and ordered something else. My husband ordered the short ribs. They were great but very small portion for the price of 26.00. Atmosphere: Huge bar area with high top tables and then a separate dining area with high top tables and regular tables. They have a nice "indoor" smoking area that is in the back of the restaurant that doesn't have a roof but is enclosed on the sides with picnic tables. The bathrooms were clean when I used them. Service: Great staff that knows the menus well, same situation with the bartenders, they can sling a mean drink. I love their bloody mary flight, so fun! Food: Wow wow wow. Just ridiculously good food. I can't say enough good things about their wings or their cheese curds, they are some of the best I've ever had, and I have eaten my weight in cheese curds and wings throughout my life, EASILY. We stopped here for the first time because my husband loves bourbon, and they had what looked to be a fantastic salmon wrap on the menu and salmon is my favorite. Seemed like the perfect place. When we walked in at 5:45 pm, we were seated and told they were out of the salmon wrap. It was the special for the day so you'd think they'd have plenty in stock. It was only 5:45 pm. Shoot. Ok I'll look for something else. My husband ordered a flight, and 5 min later the waitress came to say they were out of one of the four bourbons on the flight and he had to pick an entirely different flight. He wasn't given any options to replace the bourbon they were out of, and when we asked if they could provide some, we were told no that he had to order an entire different flight. When the flight was delivered, there were lip marks on the glasses. Huge bummer for our first experience there. Other than that, the food that we did order was very tasty. We'll likely give them another try since it was good, but I hope their management can get their stock issues in order and hopefully they work on their cleanliness. read more

Large portion. I had the Philly sandwich-they use Angus beef and it's in a ciabatta bread. It was delish! My photos was blurry so couldn't upload. He ordered pork tacos which he said had a "kick" to it and is on the spicy side. My dish came with a side of cheese curds and having moved here for only a month, this is by far the best cheese curds I've ever tried. They require a mask upon entry and while waiting to get seated. Phenomenal food. I haven't graduated past the burger and app menu quite yet, but the wings are great, and the B3 easily passes among my top 5 burgers. I also appreciate that they source their food locally from a number of farms. If you go in for burgers, the fries are worth the small upcharge. The chips are good, but the fries are awesome. I also dig their house pickles. It should go without saying that their bar is well stocked with a wide variety of whiskeys. If you don't know where to start and are unsure about spending too much on something you may not like, Larceny is one of my go to bourbons. If you have some walking around money to throw down, I recommend Basil Hayden's. read more

Easily one of the most underrated restaurants in Green Bay. Under appreciated because of the location on the east side. But while Howard, De Pere, and Ashwaubenon may seem more desirable on the surface, if you want to be part of a movement and something up and coming, visit the Main Street restaurants and bars. Main Street Bourbon will be one of the best Green Bay restaurants in a few years and it's success will also help the bars and restaurants around Ole Main. On my first visit to Green Bay, we found this local whiskey bar and it was only a one mile walk from our hotel. Large selection of whiskeys on the menu and they were all categorized by distillery. I ate the B3 burger which was very good. Fresh ground beef (in house) on a brioche bun and fresh tomato and lettuce. To top it all off, I had the fried cheese curds. The bartender was kind enough to share with us that Old Fashioned cocktails are a little different in Wisconsin--they add soda (Sprite) or sour mix. Rather than that, i landed on their Barrel-aged Manhattan which was quite good. The mile walk back to the hotel was perfect to walk off that giant burger and fried cheese curds;) read more
