The layout for the building is huge with lots of seating but reservations are still highly recommended. If you love old school supper clubs, this will fit the bill. Food and Drink: Loved the unique concept of grilling your own steaks. For one set price, you get to choose what type of steak to grill. T-bone, marinated top sirloin, filet mignon, steak kabobs, NY strip, KC strip - they are all available for the same price. Another cool option is that you can split a steak with another person for around $40. Each entree purchase comes with an AYCE salad bar, AYCE baked potatoes, and AYCE Texas toast. I literally could of filled my stomach with the bread. You basically can bring a loaf over to the grill, butter it up, and eat to your heart's content while you grill your steak to perfection. The bar had some great drink specials and prices for drinks were very generous. I got a classic Wisconsin Old-Fashioned for only $5. You know what is better than grilling your own steak while you are eating a loaf of Texas toast? Enjoying an Old-Fashioned while doing it! Service: Service was speedy and friendly. Though I live in California, I've been a fan of the Green Bay Packers for as long as I remember watching football, and finally at age 29, I finally ventured my way out to Titletown. Over that time I've met all kinds of Packers fans who've given me pointers on where to go... and Prime Quarter Steak House wasn't one of them. I was in the mood for a steak. One "bougieass" meal during my trip to Green Bay for the Packers-49ers game. So I came across this one on Yelp. Great decision. I felt the way Brett Favre did when he threw that deep touchdown pass to Andre Rising in Super Bowl XXXI. Back to the venue at hand. Yes, it's a steakhouse, but you make it on your own after choosing your cut. You have your choice of Prime Rib, T-Bone, New York Strip, and a handful of others. These are large steaks, kind you. Definitely enough to fill up a normal person. But yes, you make it on your own. If that's a downside for you, then you probably don't know how to cook anything because steaks are behind easy as you can make them anyway you want them. So if you're one of those people, you can have someone else cook for you at a small fee. When you choose your steak, you can grill them on any of the community grills you see. Each grill has salt, pepper, paprika, butter, and a bunch of other stuff to flavor your steak to your heart's content. So when it's all done, you can throw it on a new plate and enjoy. It's also worth noting that for another $2 you have unlimited salad bar access. Or as I like to call it, grilled potato privileges. If you somehow have room for more, the dresser is decent but not a must, though I should also mention that it's on the house if your host doesn't mention it. My dining experience here was fantastic, and while the idea of cooking your own food is not new to me (given all the hot pot and Korean BBQ places we have in the Bay Area) this was easily the best kind of experience I've had in this very category. If you're up for it you can also take this challenge to cook and eat a gargantuan steak for a medal that you can keep, or redeem for a free steak the next time you come in. I might do that next time I'm in town. Oh and did I mention the steak was $25? In my neck if the woods, this meal is easily at least $60 before tax. Interesting concept! You get the option to make your own steak. Our waitress told us it would be a 1-hour wait if the kitchen made our steaks, so we opted for doing it ourselves. The grill is big enough to fit about 30 people, first off. They have a nice variety of seasonings, in addition to butter. I had the filet mignon, and I cooked it a nice mid-rare. This restaurant is a scam. The primary gimmick is that you can cook your own steak. Don't do this. The fire management of the grill is terrible. Plus the number of other people around the grill makes navigating the inches between inferno and ice cold. The grill throws off too much ambient heat to stand and hold the steak to render fat on the edges of fattier cuts. Aside from the choice cuts at a steak house with "prime" on its name, the rest of the food comes courtesy of Conagra. All the appetizers are fried from food service bags. The desserts amount to no more than frozen Marie Callender frozen pies. Be warned, if you cook your own steak, you will also need to retrieve and prepare your own sides, which are no more than plain baked potatoes and slices of bread. Of course there is a salad bar. The $0.50 of food you will get off that won't come close to justifying the cost of the meal. I can't believe this place is in business. It is fundamentally no more than food service quality staffed by the patrons. Maybe the dim lighting confuses your average restaurant goer. Please save your time and take the money you would have spent on a single meal and buy a Weber grill and the steaks and cook at home. It has been too long since I had an opportunity to visit Prime Quarter. So happy we had a chance to enjoy this unique dining experience. While I love the fact that you pick your own steak and have an opportunity to cook it, I paid the $2 and had the chef cook mine so I could enjoy my drinks and company. Your steak (every one will provide leftovers) is bountiful and comes with the salad bar, potato, and a side. There is really no need to load up on bread or an appetizer. We sat at the bar and were treated with first-class service. The staff did a great job wearing masks and understand how fragile the indoor dining environment is. They are very humble and did a great job promoting a safe dining experience. As noted, we went back to our hotel with leftovers. It made for a nice flight back in the morning. This is a unique experience and this was my first time going. We had reservations but sat at the bar to wait for our group. The bar was at best okay. The drinks weren't very good and the service was okay. I scoped put the grill and I wasn't confident that I could figure out the heat enough to cook a perfect steak so I had the chef do it. Best decision of the night. While I ate my salad (2 of them) the chef was cooking my potato, bread, and steak. My food was ready before several others in our group. My food was cooked perfect (including the bread). As an example others in my group came back with burnt bread. If you cook out own I would put 3 slices of bread down to help judge the heat. One above the coals, one on the edge and one not over the coals. This should help you judge the heat to cook your steak. The biggest problem I had was my Filet mignon was the worst cut I have ever had. I guess having the chef pick that was the poor option. I honestly have not had that bad of a cut of tenderloin in my life. The parts of the steak that were meat were flavored well from the coals, potato was good, the salad bar was okay (not great). During my recent work visit to Green Bay my team had dinner at Prime Quarter Steakhouse. My coworkers are all locals and this restaurant was the winner amongst several other choices so I figured it would be good. Our party of 10 started off at the bar where everyone had drinks which were reasonably priced. The ambiance has a family style feel. We were seated once everyone arrived. The concept is interesting, you get to cook your own protein on the grill, they have a large selection of steaks and for non meat eaters like myself they offer two seafood selections Salmon and Tuna Steak. For $2 extra you can opt to have the restaurant cook your selected protein. There is an unlimited salad bar which comes with the meal along with a baked potato and Texas toast. I'm not a huge fan of buffets but the restaurant was very clean, everything at the salad bar was fresh and the potatoes were hot. I loved the ranch dressing as well. I was the only one at the table who didn't eat red meat so I ordered the Salmon and requested for the restaurant to cook it. Half of my coworkers grilled their steaks on the grill themselves and the other half opted for the restuarant to cook it. I enjoyed my Salmon, it was lightly seasoned and cooked as requested, medium. From what I could tell everyone at the table enjoyed their meals, mostly everyone ate every bite. Prime Quarter Steakhouse is an excellent choice for any occasion. This is a neat steak house that allows you the choice of picking your own cut and cooking it over an indoor grilling station or for an extra couple of dollars, the chefs will cook it for you. Prices are set where every cut is the same price and includes all you can eat salad bar, Texas toast and a baked potato with all the fixings. The steaks in the case were beautiful but admittedly I'm inept at charcoal grilling so I let the experts work their magic. After a sad experience elsewhere recently, I was so pleased with our selection! If there is one drawback, it's that wines are sold by the bottle if you want something specific. Otherwise, only house white and red wines are sold by the glass, half carafe or full carafe. Mixed drinks and beers are a better bet if you are not interested in a full bottle of wine. Our server was kind, answered all our silly questions and even a couple not so silly ones, and efficient as all get out; she was BUSY with a few large tables but we never felt forgotten. The restaurant staff in general just seemed really nice and ready to help their guests. We never felt rushed out the door either. Pro Tip: The parking lot is tight and gets super crowded, even at 5pm on a Saturday evening. Make reservations, too or you will probably be waiting at the bar for a while. Stopped in for the last night of restaurant week. The portion sizes here are huge and you will never leave hungry. When we were seated we ordered an old fashion (which was okay for sure make with a really sugary mix) and the salad, steak and dessert option they were offering. I liked that I could eat my salad from their fully stocked salad bar and then pick out my steak for grilling. I had selected the ribeye and it was a large piece of meat. My husband took the option of the tenderloin wrapped in bacon. We had a relaxing time chatting and cooking our steaks, potatoes and toast. We added mushrooms and onion to the steaks and they were divine. Dessert (strawberry shortcake) was nothing overly special but a nice way to finish the meal. Our server was attentive the entire time. The reason for the lack of a star is this place is literally like stepping back in time. I kept joking with my husband that with the music, plastic table cloth and fake plants we were in 1982. I have been here many times throughout the years and have always had really great expieriences and have left great reviews, but this time was totally different. Went out for my birthday with a good friend and his family and we got there at 5:00 pm right as it opened. There was no other customers at the restaurant but us. Table was also seated all the way across the restaurant away from the grill, salad bar and everything! That means we would have to walk all the way across the restaurant and back to get to the grill & salad bar with the place completely empty with all the room in the world! I asked to be moved to another table because he put us basically on an island so he then moved us by the grill! Waitress that waited on us was snobby like she really didn't want to be there with a "could care less" attitude! Plates to put my steak on were dirty with leftover food on them & was hard finding a clean one & the whipped cream on top of my cheesecake for dessert was basically liquid! Waitress also tried taking my plate away without asking when I wasn't finished! Wasn't a great birthday dinner at all even though the food was good "besides the whipped cream on my dessert." I know we have been in Covid for a year and tons of people and businesses are hurting bad, but this was a pretty shabby experience and unprofessional! A cross between a steakhouse and a Korean bbq place. You get your own meat n you grill it yourself. Full salad bar with baked potatoes that you can load however you want. You can grill your own bread n steak just they way you like it. Prices was about $25 and the cuts were pretty large but I'm not sure how they tasted. (I'm vegan) but everyone seemed to be enjoying their meals. The salad bar had everything so you definitely have plenty to choose from. They do have a kids burger me. They were pretty thick so it was hard to cook them to the right temp without it being too pink in the middle or burning it. Kids didn't enjoy them. N they don't have fries.
