These past two week's I went around shopping for a 2017/18 truck (Silverado, F150, Sierra, ext) I let all dealerships compete , The best and I mean no contest was Mission Chevrolet, my salesmen Javier Rodriquez was great, he was Awesome, I've bought over 10 vehicles in the past and no salesman has been more professional then this young man, he not only found me great truck (Silverado) but a great deal. The people at Mission Chevrolet have earned mine and my family's business, from the sales department, accessories department, to the service department, they were all highly professional, they are the reason why they are a 5 star rated company. I'd give their service department zero stars if I could. They tried to charge me $90+ dollars x 3 to check my malfunctioning engine, window and sunroof while under their extended warranty. I own three Chevrolet's, but I won't buy a fourth because of them. I submit this feedback regarding the credit financing practices at Mission Chevrolet. This complaint lodgment pertains to my attempts to secure a car loan back on October 18, 2016, May 11, 2017, and July 4, 2017. The salesman was the same in May and July 2017 but has recently failed to contact me regarding my complaint that herein identified even after I have left multiple text and voicemail messages on his cellular and trying him at the dealership. I attempted to finance a car on the identified dates but there were many hard credit inquiries that were effectuated without my verbal or written authorization. There was a form that the salesman provided where I indicated and listed finance companies (i.e. Chase, First Light FCU, Evolve FCU, GECU, and others) not be provided my credit application because I believed certain finance institutions would not approve me. The second portion of my complaint is that I contacted a few finance companies (i.e. Regional Acceptance Corporation is one) that informed me they reached out to Mission Chevrolet finance department to ascertain if one certain account was paid or outstanding, and if I could show it was paid, they would have favorably considered my loan for a new car. The finance department manager that was working my deal in May 2017 never presented the information to me as I would have quickly provided him the evidence that the account was in good standing then satisfactorily paid in full. The resolution I seek through this medium is to have the finance manager write letter to each of the creditors that were provided my credit application advising them that I did not authorize or ask my credit application to be sent to them and ask each company to delete the hard inquiry as a result of the error of Mission Chevrolet finance department. I repeat and emphasize that I did not authorize or request the credit application or my interest in a car loan to be sent to a number of creditors. The salesman on each of the dates presented a document explaining to indicate what companies I did not want the proposed deal to be sent the deal proposal yet the finance department forwarded my information resulting in having the deal turned down as I anticipated and lowering my credit score with three credit bureaus. I am furious about the credit financing practices at this dealership as I did NOT authorize this location to forward my credit application to the numerous auto finance companies. It has been since May 2017 and now again in July 2017 that I have yet to hear back from the salesman or finance manager about my complaint and request to this expressed concern I have described. Another person dissatisfied with the service department. I took my 2010 Camaro SS in because it was leaking. They couldn't find a leak even though it was clearly coming from around the oil cooler area. They put dye in to try to find the leak and told me to bring it back Wednesday or so for them to look at it. I called that week three times to ask if I could bring it in and they told me no each time. Finally I got it in there on Saturday. I had to show up at 630am to be the first in line, more or less. They kept the car right until the last minute before the rental agency closed (despite telling me they would know what they were going to do within an hour and a half or two hours max), and then told me they wouldn't have it done until Monday, Tuesday at the latest. They never bothered to call me again on Monday to let me know that they were planning on keeping it until AT LEAST Wednesday, if not over the Thanksgiving holiday, I had to call them. I finally told them to put the car back together and that I would just take it somewhere a little more competent. I should have read the other reviews and advice from my friends in the Corvette club instead. If you don't believe me, look at their place page on Google. Do not buy any vehicles here! I bought a new truck from them and they sold it to me with dents in it. Which I didnt see because I didn't even get a final walk around the vehicle before I left lot. It took it back the very next day and they were fighting me on not fixing it. A few days later they call me and let me know there was a recall they forgot to do! Then when I get the vehicle back they didnt put it back together right. Loose piece on media console and weather mats not connected right. Then they tell me they wont fix weather mats it's not covered in the insurance. I haven't even had the vehicle a year yet. Not even the first oil change gas been done and they tell me they cant help. Horrible and worst service ever with these people. They tried to bs me on my pre certified camaro that I purchased with them. Had me going on the run around. Long story short, their own customer experience manager Armando Varela emailed questioning me about the horrible experience I had with him, since I did submitted a review. I replied to his email and haven't heard from him since. Their solution to a faulty exhaust on my car that is covered was trade in my car for another, these guys are idiotic and think they can BS people around. Had a full service oil appointment scheduled for this morning at 9 a.m. I was there at 8:45 and it still took me almost 2 hours to get my oil change, tha fluids supposedly topped off and my tires rotated. I get home look at my fluids and nothing's been topped off and the little rubber caps for my tires are missing on two tires. This is the second time in two years I've received substandard service at Mission Chevrolet. For the price that I am paying, I should not have to double check the work. Our salesman Mr. Francisco Hernandez was very professional and understanding and always helped us get into a vehicle with the best deals. I went there today seeking help and I was almost forced to pay for a service that's free anywhere else you go. I didn't have the key for the locks on my wheels and I was advised to go to any GM dealership from the dealership I bought my truck at in San Antonio. The first one I went to was mission Chevrolet. When I got there I was told by a worker in the service department that they didn't have a universal key and that they had to break locks. He then proceeded to tell me that he's worked for chevy for over 25 years and he's never heard of that before. When I called another chevy dealership, Freedom Chevrolet, they informed me that every chevy dealership has a universal key and that would help me out for free. Thank you Freedom Chevorlet for being professional. Stay clear of Mission Chevrolet. Seems the only mission they seek is to screw over there customers. read more

Bottom Line Up Front: very disappointing. I feel robbed, and I genuinely mean that. After purchasing a $60,000 Chevrolet, all I expect is honest feedback. I know cars break, I budget for that. No big deal. But being blatantly taken advantage of was pretty hurtful. I took my car into the service department here to have some noise from the engine investigated. It seemed that it was related to a problem with spark. But hey, I'm a Soldier, not a mechanic, so when they told me that it had nothing to do with spark and the culprit was carbon deposits I foolishly believed them. I've never heard of carbon deposits on a LS2 with 30,000 miles, but they're the experts. Well 500 dollars later for a top end cleaner and a fuel additive, and what do you know, the sound is still there. Except that after this useless "cleaning" no refund or recourse is available because the service department informs me that the cleaning is just part of routine maintenance. Except that it isn't, not on any routine maintenance schedule anywhere for any generation Corvette. I've looked. The worst part about this is that now my backup lights don't work. My car literally left the dealership in worse condition than it arrived and somehow I paid them to do it. Is this even reality??? Some others seem to have had good experiences, so maybe my case was isolated, but it was very very disappointing and felt intentionally dishonest. Now i need to drive to Las Cruces to have my routine services done for 37.5k miles. Sorry Mission, I just don't trust you. read more

Obviously I wasn't able to leave one star... went in on 4th of July, we spent all day there making sure we were in love with the truck we were going to purchase. We picked the one we loved and started the process to purchase it, after being there all day they said everything was good but the banks were closed so we had to come back the next day to finalize everything. We go back the next day after making my husband get out of work early to finish the deal... we show up and wait some more for the salesperson manager (Sergio) he kept us waiting forever and in the end didn't even show up, he had his salesperson tell us they sold the truck to someone else, yet while we were there they made us sign a pathetic paper that said we were gonna buy the truck. This place is a joke. Don't waste they're time, they don't care about their customers, they told us that they sold it to someone else because they took it without them asking for the broken windshield to be replaced, really? What a way to show customer service and integrity at that. I've never been treated with such disrespect. Go somewhere where they will actually value your time and where they will keep their word. read more

I would give this place no stars if I could but unfortunately that's not an option. I bought my first car ever with mission and ever since, they have given me and my dad nothing but poor customer service. The salesman wasn't really even around to show us the car, or introduce any features. He was definitely more concerned about another client he had which is understandable but he should've given us up to someone who actually cares about our sale. My dad has an excellent credit and talked to the finance manager about how he wanted the payments for the car but they didn't even let him finish speaking and told him to keep signing. Also I had took my car in TWICE to get an oil change and they never called me back either time to tell me it was ready, I left my phone number and explained to the guy to call me when it was ready and he said "yeah ok" and took it in. And the last straw with this place was I had a check engine light on for a while so I drove up and told them about it and the guy told me to come back in about a week because they were too busy and they wouldn't even get to look at my car for another week or so, so I set an appointment and dropped it off early. They called me back and told me it was ready for pick up and once I began driving home the check light turned on AGAIN including another light as well. I had already talked to the general manager of this place and he just apologized and told me the only way he can make it up to me was if I did a survey for him and put highly satisfied on all the columns of this place he would put me in a raffle and MAYBE I could win stuff. Called this dealership to ask "how much is an oil change on 2019 Silverado 4 cycl turbo?" The service advisor replied $49.99. I ask him when is the next available appt because I'm on my way to San Antonio from California. He made an appt for me at 4:00 pm on the same day. I made to the appt 30 min early. Checked in with the service advisor and I advise him I need an oil change that is all. He advise me that the oil change is $59.99. I started to argue with him that a gentlemen on the phone said "the oil change is 49.99 for a 4 cycl turbo 2019 silverado". At this time, I don't have a choice because I was already at this location and every near-by location was close at this time. I agree to just have my oil change at this moment. Once completed, I was called to the cashier. They advise me that my total is $77.00. At this moment, I was annoyed that an oil change cost as much as a V8. I ask the cashier why it is so much for a oil change and she said, "because they change the oil filter". I ask her, "so what you're telling me this dealership change oil but does not change the oil filter?" I was beyond pissed now! How can a dealership charge you 49.99-69.99 for an oil change, but does not change the oil filter. I checked the charges on the repair and they add another quarts to my car which I know it does not take 7 qts of oil for my 4 cycl. I refuse to pay for this. I went to talk to the service advisor and he corrected the changes. But that isnt the point! (People need to check your repair order and see what they did and what they charge to the repair. Don't just pay for it with out figuring the charges. I don't usually do review but this dealership really made me mad because they think they can pull a fast one over me!) read more

This is the second time where a lug nut falls off of my tire. They do the tire rotation and it later i feel a clicking noise on front tire and realize that the lock lug nut is missing. Not only is it a safety issue but this is the second time this safety issue has happened on my truck since i bought it and serviced it at Mission. Thank god for autozone i guess but now my lug nuts look different on the tires and to be honest i went ahead and hand tightened all the oher lug nuts myself as i no longer trust the job they are doing on my truck. read more

I too had a bad time with the service dept. Mine was just a simple thing too. The computer would not read the tire pressure correct. The dash would say I had 27 lbs and a tire gauge would say I had 35 lbs. So it would ding and say was low. So I took it to them twice saying what the problem was and they would bring it out saying it is fixed. They put enough air in the make the computer ding shut off is all they did. So my husband did some checking and found they had a tool to reset each sensor in the wheel. So I took it to them a 3rd time and told them what they had to do to recalibrate the sensors. Minutes later they were back with car and said all fixed I drove away and guess what still not fixed. Once again all they did was reset the dash computer and put air in the make the ding stop. I ended up stopping in Truth or Consequences NM on my way back from Albuquerque were I bought it and 5 Minutes later it was fixed free of charge no problems. So on to check a different chevy dealer. read more

Took my Camaro in for service DO NOT RECOMMEND dropped off my car on 5/1/2020 but kept getting the run around from Jaime my service advisor he had air conditioning problems on Monday and did not call my warranty company or ask anyone else to call them so my car did not get work started until the 7th I asked if I could pick it up on the 9th was told yes by Jaime but then Jaime called me on the 8th at 530 to advise me he had not sent the signed invoice to my warranty company and he cannot release the vehicle to me without payment. When I asked him why he did not call me earlier to come in and sign this he advised me he forgot! That he would send it first thing Saturday, I knew the warranty Accounting was closed Saturday so I would not be able to get my car back until Monday. 5/11/2020 Now I get the call that it is ready but now I have an additional 44.99 in shop fees! Asked for those to be removed for all of my inconvenience was advised they cannot. Highly disappointed will never again bring any of my vehicles in for service. Traded in my car for a Truck around August 10, 2016. The finance manager was Austin Slaughter. 2 weeks after the deal he tried to get me back there to sign another contract with a higher interest rate. I told him he was crazy and that I was going to return the truck if he didn't honor the first contract. He called me back said everything worked out with the first contract. Today is September 12, 2016 and they still haven't paid off the balance on my trade in. So now I have late fees and messed up credit score with no one taking my calls at mission chevrolet. I would give this place no stars if I could. I went car shopping around 5 months ago & the sales people literally were lined up like crows on a electrical wire waiting to attack. It was soo uncomfortable then we went to look at cars & a guy followed us, I told him we were just shopping around looking around and he told us about a few cars. I wasn't interested in buying a Chevy but looked because I wanted to see my options. Anyway, my mind was made up & I wanted to leave but this guy would not stop he kept saying "what do we gotta do for you to buy a car right now, what can I do so we can make a sale" I was trying to be nice & say I wanted to keep looking but he kept & kept, I felt beyond uncomfortable mind you I was with my dad & I still could not this guy to stop being persistent. I finally started walking away from him & blatantly said "I don't like these cars I'm not buying one" he was the worst salesperson ever. So then my dad said he might be interested in a truck later so if we could get a card & we went inside and when he went to get the card he ended up getting on the phone leaving us out there like dummies. I went in this morning, I had a difficult sell to make happen I don't deny that, the stipulations of my offer where tough. I was greated by Sergio, he showed me a vehicle, said he wanted me to test drive it, I said lets find out if yoy guys can help me before I drive anything and start falling in love with a vehicle. He said "its our policy that you test drive the vehicle" may or may not be true I don't know, I told him my credit score which is not great but it's not awful, he said "oh god! we're not gonna be able to help you" we then went inside and when he came out with what I though was the keys he brought me some reading material about recalled vehicles, apparently this was one of the reasons they didn't want to take my trade in... this paper was about vehicles of a different year than mine, it didnt pertain to me at all. I was being forced out of the building basically, he didn't even try to make anything happen for me, then fed me some crap paper that had nothing to do with my truck. I couldn't believe it, I thought Mission Chevy was better than that and was counting on them to help me out, and not be the typical dealership that shuns you because you might be a difficult sale. read more

Terrible experience, there has been a recent recall on my new Tahoe. It's has taken 12 phone calls to get a call back to even schedule an appointment. The dealership is very attentive when is comes to actually selling the vehicle. But the service afterwards is absolutely terrible. After speaking to the service mgr Dallas he made nothing but excuses for not calling back only saying that he only received 3 messages. Even if that's the case how many messages do you have to leave before you get a call back. I think one should be enough. I would never buy another vehicle from Mission ever again. Got an unsolicited call from these people today telling me that my "husband" had called them yesterday to schedule an appointment for an oil change for our vehicle. I told them that was impossible (after two minutes of trying to figure out who the heck "mission chevrolet" was because the person on the phone had a terrible attitude and would not tell me they were located in el paso, tx). I immediately got a huge attitude of "WELL MAYBE YOU JUST DIDN'T KNOW ABOUT IT" z-snap chola mexican garbage that I thought I'd left behind when I moved away from this nightmare place. We never once used their services while we lived in El Paso, and to be perfectly honest, I have no idea how they got my phone number. My husband is overseas. He has no access to american phone lines unless there is an emergency. He didn't call you. I didn't call you. We've never even been on your lot. We live 2000 miles away from you freaks now (and have for almost a year!). Leave us alone. So be warned, people of El Paso. These people are weird and when called out on their weirdness, -incredibly- rude and downright aggressive. read more

I'm only putting one star because there is not a way for me to put zero stars. To begin, the salesman was very rude and pushy. He was not only rude with me but the sales staff were very rude to my insurance company and my credit union. My car was going to be appraised and they claimed I could not get my car back since I was going to trade it in. I wanted to get my vehicle back since they would not give me a price on the car that I wanted to purchase. They literally held me hostage and refused to give me my own keys back! The salesman kept harassing me at my home and cell phones. I have never experienced such unprofessionalism! Needless to say I will never, ever purchase a vehicle from Mission Chevrolet. Horrible service! We dropped off our truck on June 3 and were told it would be finished the following week (the week of June 5). On June 7 my husband was called and asked to come in to sign a new estimate. There he was told it would be done the following day (Thursday, June 8). On June 8 he had a friend drive him there and it wasn't done but he was told it would be the next day. So another friend drove him out on Friday. It still wasn't done. We tried calling before driving out but could never reach a service rep and the receptionists refused to go ask if our truck was ready so we were forced to drive the 30 minute trip every time. He made two more attempts to pick up the truck at times he was promised it would be done but it was not. Finally 17 days later the truck was ready and we received a bill of over $5100! We tried to talk to the service manager about the bill. We waited for 40 min before he came to see us. He said he'd come out but never seen us. My husband was the only soldier in uniform in the small waiting room and we'd been actively looking for a manager as well. He seemed to be trying a "wait it out" tactic. We told him we'd had to wait far longer than was first told to us, our family had been forced to juggle a single car for weeks because Chevrolet had taken longer than they'd promised several times, and he cut us off to brag about how chevy is so much better than a mom and pop automotive shop. We decided to drive the distance and through the traffic of the city (one day my husband sat in traffic over 3 hours coming home from chevy WITHOUT the truck) because we ARE loyal to chevy, but we have been very disappointed with this location and especially how this manager treated us. Dallas, the service manager said he would go see why it took so long and disappeared for another 30 minutes, seemingly anther "wait us out" tactic. When he came back he said he couldn't find anyone who had worked on our vehicle. He also went into a spiel about how they had already taken off "so much money" from our bill they weren't going to make anything, about how he was basically running a non profit organization back in the service department and how he was doing my husband and I a charity service because he had already taken off so much from our bill. The money he is referring to is their standard $100 military discount (which is less than a 2% discount). Also they kept our old engine and gave us $200 for it. Those were the only discounts given to us and were worked out previously. Dallas did nothing but force us to wait over an hour longer (than the extra 2 weeks) and damage the image of Chevrolet in our minds. Chevrolet is most definitely a for profit business. Perhaps it's my own bias because my friend just returned after risking his life in Mosul with Samaritans Purse sewing up innocents who are being blown apart by Isis and I consider him to be someone who works for charity, non profit. Not this boastful man who just towered over me trying to intimidate me.....perhaps it's my own bias because after years of my own volunteer work and training up women under me and watching them sacrificially serve the communities around them, supporting the families of the soldiers who never made it home, supporting the children of the parents who are currently risking their lives in combat zones, and this greedy man tried to categorize himself with these same heroic figures. We only own chevy vehicles. We've only gone to chevy dealerships for our inspections and larger fixes. I've been very disappointed with this last service though. I was disappointed with the promised and missed deadlines, the unanswered calls that forced us to have to drive out there to check on the status of our truck (every trip it having been promised to be complete). I'm appalled at the treatment we received from the service manager and then afterwards how he tried to tell us what a saint he was to us after not doing a thing for us. We will not be going to Mission Chevrolet ever again. Oh and the windshield wipers won't turn on now. read more

For starters, when I arrived at the dealership, the salesman, Oscar Gutierrez, already had a vehicle parked right in front of the door and stated that's the one he wanted me to see. When I asked him if I could see another color, he said that because of my poor credit, that's the only one he could sell me. I made it known to him that I was not in agreement with that statement but I would test drive it anyway. While driving it, he told me the car was a hybrid, which is false. Two days later, he had not given me the 2nd remote yet nor had he contacted me to schedule a time to clean the car which was delivered to me in a filthy condition so I text him to let him know I'd stop by for the remote the following morning. To my surprise, the following morning, he approached me with a documented he wanted me to sign. I asked him what it was and he said just sign it confirming everything in the car is good and I told him I wouldn't sign it until I checked everything on the list. He made faces at me and reluctantly followed me outside to go through the check off list. That was the second opportunity he had to disclose to me that the car had been damaged by hail but he chose not to. Instead, I found this out when he showed up unannounced at my home a day later with a paper he wanted me to sign stating that I agreed to buy the car with hail damage and he told my brother, which met him at the door, that if I didn't sign the papers, he'd have to take the car back. Nonetheless, I didn't sign the document and told my brother to tell him I didn't appreciate him showing up announced to my house to disclose a very important detail about the vehicle I had signed for and purchased almost five days earlier. He began to harass me by text and blamed the finance manager, Sergio, for not informing me about the hail damage of the car. On his text messages, Oscar Gutierrez, claimed that he had voiced the damage to me but that it was ok - to just bring the car back. His demeanor to stress me out about a situation like this and his nonchalant way of handling things 'just bring the car back' is far from unprofessionalism...it's a sick game of taking advantage and inconveniencing the customer once again. I spoke to Tony Duran, Sales Manager about the details and he said to deal with him directly, no longer with Oscar. Oscar continues to call me regarding scheduling the wash for my car. I told him I'd contact Tony Duran once I set a date for the car to be cleaned...weather permitting, since it's been raining off and on here in El Paso. I would not recommend anyone to go buy a car from this salesman, whether he worked at mission chevrolet or anywhere else. read more

Worst car buying experience I've ever had. I will definitely tell all my colleagues at work to be ware of the incompetence level of finance/accounting department. I purchased my vehicle on June 10th, 20 days later I had had to follow up with the company financing my vehicle (GECU). Come to find out the finance department was still holding on to my deal 20 DAYS LATER!!! GECU rep stated they told finance (Austin Slaughter) they needed my POI. I immediately contacted Austin ask him why was my deal still sitting there. He was blaming it all on accounting not making him aware that it was missing my POI. I sent it to that same day, he promised he would walk personally to the bank and give me a follow up call. Never got of hold of him since so I contacted my salesman and he said it was gtg. Today is July the 7th and my trade is still not paid off. I personally went to the dealership today to talk to the GM but nobody could get of hold of him. I spoke with accounting and they said it was just sent out today.. hmmm how conveniently. I would NEVER refer a friend to this dealership for there lack of competence and professionalism. if you do decide to buy a car there avoid Austin Slaughter as your finance manager. He won't answer your calls and never come through with any promises. (shady character!). read more

On 4/29/2015 I took my Vehicle in for service which included an Oil Change, Tire Rotation. Although the wait time was not extensive the service I received is mediocre at best. Just recently I found out my tire lug nut caps weren't tighten at all and were already falling out of place which 1 has already been lost. Not only is this discouraging but the fact that my tire replacement equipment kit is missing also, who to blame? Well the only place I have ever taken my car for service is at your Dealership "Mission Chevrolet" , I have already contacted the corporate office because a technician I talked about this didn't take the complaint seriously. If Cameras are part of your service center you all need to take a look into it and see where my tire equipment kit went and why the technician who rotated my tires did not tighten my tire lug nut caps because now 1 is missing and the others are really loose. read more

when i took my 2013 Malibu in for tire rotation, i had a 12 noon appt. i was behind another car, and the service advisor told me he'd "be right with me", then he disappeared! after about 10 minutes i was walking around looking for someone to help me. finally a service advisor wrote up my ticket. i told the service advisor my windshield wiper spray had not worked since I bought the car. he said he would have it checked out. when i picked up the car, i had to go through about three different people until someone was able to finally take me to the counter to pay and retrieve my keys. i asked the girl at the counter if they had checked out the windshield wiper spray, she said there were no notes on it!. also, they had offered to do a free car wash, and that was not done. everyone in the service dept. smiles and is friendly, but no one seems to know what is going on. very disorganized! read more
