We just had a baseball tournament at Mission Hills Park and it was a wonderful location for the baseball activities that took place. The fields were pristine and the location was easier to get to and had a lot of businesses in the area to visit Just down the block. You have Starbucks, Albertson's and a lot of other businesses that you can shop while you play at the park however in this case, we had a baseball tournament take place there and it was the coolest little park to play in. If you are going to go there, it's recommended you bring canopies and something to shade yourself! Don't forget to hydrate definitely use this park to have fun. Mission Hills is a huge park with plenty of green grass, a playground, a large splash pad, and covered pavilions to rent for events. The splash pad here is one of the largest splash pad at Henderson parks. It is spread out to give kids plenty of space to splash and play. It has a variety of features too. The splash pad is conveniently located next to a set of bathrooms and changing stalls. One of my favorite things about this park is all the green grass out in open spaces. I love having all the open space to let my toddler safely run. A lot of people bring blankets and hang out or have a picnic. The playground is good for about three years and up. A lot of the climbing features would be too big for really little ones. There are also two big slides in the side of a hill. There aren't any swings at this playground. There is a large covered pavilion area in between the playground and splash pad. It's large enough to be rented out for two different parties. We attended a toddler birthday party here and it was a nice space for that. The city should put up signs that the pavilions are paid rentals though. My friend arrived to find a party happening in the area she rented. The other party didn't know rentals were to be arranged through the city. She felt bad and gave up some of her rental space because she didn't want to ruin a kid's birthday party. Another cool thing about Mission Hills is the shaved ice truck that has a permanent spot when it's hot out. How perfect to be able to grab shaved ice when playing in the heat. read more

We liked this park so much that we came here two days in a row. It was about 20 minutes away from us, but it was definitely worth the drive. 1. Our favorite thing about this park was definitely the large splash pad. It wasn't just water that shot out of the ground. There were lots of other pipes to run underneath. I could sit on the grassy area under the shade and was still able to see my kids. And since the splash pad was very large, I wasn't worried about my kids getting too close to others. 2. There's a large grassy area that is very well kept. I didn't have to worry about stepping in any doggie poop. And the numerous trees provided much needed shade. During our visits, we were able to lay out a picnic blanket and camping chairs and enjoy being outside without the sun beaming right down on us. 3. There were many tables in the picnic area if someone wanted to hold a get together here. 4. The playground was taped off due to this Rona B$, but my kids didn't mind since they were having fun in the splash pad. 5. The restrooms were pretty clean. I definitely would recommend this park for a few hours of free entertainment for the kiddies. I look forward to more visits! read more

This is still one of my go-to parks to lounge, walk our four legged fur baby or to just sit back and read a book. This park is also an all season go-to park. It's large enough to run any get your miles in while enjoying the tweeting of birds. This park offers a lot of shaded places because of its many trees. We often bring beach chairs here and pick a spot and sit there for hours eating breakfast or drink coffee while the pup explores leisurely. During the fall seasons, the air is a welcomed relief as a break from the hot summer days. This is when we hear kids play Baseball again and other dogs run around excitedly. Highly recommend this place to everyone to bring their family. read more

Although I was very disappointed when I looked up and saw the American flag shredded and just hanging there in the pole! What a shame no one has taken the time or care to replace the flag. We love coming to this park, especially in the summer time when the splash pad is on. My little one enjoys the playground area as well. There are plenty of shaded areas to hide from the heat of the sun. The only down fall are all the liter people leave behind. Even when it's in front of them, they won't pick it up. This park is beautiful and so Green for NV. It also has a water park for the little ones. I loved coming here for my son to play baseball. It's probably one of the best parks I've been to in NV. The bathrooms could use a little more TLC. But otherwise it was very well kept park. They have running water. There's a playground if you have little ones. Mission Hills Park, or "Mission" as some kids in the area call it, is an expansive park at College and Mission, and across from Walker Elementary. It has everything you'd want from a public park, and more. The centerpiece of the park, at least during warm months, is its "splash pad" which lets kids play in the water from May through September. This is a foam padded area where water is sprayed from a variety of waterfalls and "water trees." There's also a water cannons kids can use to aim and shoot. Kids love it. In addition to the splash pad, you'll find all of the amenities you'd hope to find, such as tennis courts, basketball court, open grass areas, two baseball fields, covered picnic areas, slides, jungle gym, restrooms, and plenty of parking. There is also a nice walking path which covers the entire perimeter. In addition to the individual picnic areas, there is a large community area in which you can often find company picnics being held. Even though Mission can get busy at times, it is large enough that you can always find your own spot without feeling crowded. read more

There are restrooms near the splash pad and playground- very convenient for parents. The splash pad is huge and has something for kids of all sizes. The playground has slides built into the side of a hill, and has a spongy walking area which is great for safety. There are also basket ball courts and a baseball field. read more

This was the site of our annual family get together in late May. Our party of about 20 reserved one of the larger covered picnic areas for four hours. Everyone enjoyed a relaxing Sunday in the park with the ranges of ages in our group starting at 3 months to grandparents in their late 70s. Pricing for this covered area is $28/hour plus $50 for the liquor permit (Yes! All of us uncles can get shitty and not have to worry about hiding a container). Reservations can be made through the parks and recs website. Of course we had to deal with another fairly large family, which was ignorant to the fact that reservations were required for the area, that had already set up camp when we arrived. Of course there was a confrontation (through interpretation of one of their teenagers) and them pleading to take 3 of our tables in our section. I relented of course not wanting to leave the family without somewhere to picnic. The Henderson Parks and Rec needs to do a better job of clearly demarcating when these table are reserved. The 22 acre park, especially by the covered area, was perfect for us. There were still plenty of tables for us even though we had given some up and an extra grill or two if we needed them. We used shade from nearby trees to put blankets down and some of the older ones could relax and take a nap. There is a nice, large playground area and probably the best splash pad in Henderson. We had two 5 year olds with us and they had to be pulled away from the splash pad when it was time to go. There are plenty of open grass areas also to throw around the pigskin. Along with the walking path, there are lighted basketball courts, fields, and tennis courts for the active. This is an excellent option to take the kids if you don't want to pay to get in a pool or water park and an ideal location for a large gathering. read more

Lots of shade for families which makes it that much more enjoyable. What a great park! It's pretty large and has so many different options around the park. My favorite part is the splash pad area. It's pirate themed and is perfect for cooling off in this sizzling Vegas weather. Not to mention it's completely free to go to! They have a large pavilion with lots of picnic tables and even some BBQ grills. It's a great spot to set up for a party because it's right next to the splash pad. The play ground area has tons of climbing things and they feature two huge slides that are kinda hidden. You can access them from the top of the hill. It's pretty cool! The walking paths wrap around the whole park and are perfect for exercising or walking your dog. There are also lots of benches along the way so you can just sit and enjoy the great view that happens. Of course they have your basic baseball fields and a basketball court. They even have a great place to play tennis. On the Fourth of July at Mission Hills they do a huge firework display for anyone that wants to come. This park has something for everyone. Plus, the bathroom isn't that bad. I absolutely love the splash pad even though I'm a grown woman. Definitely if your planning your next family gathering or party this park is a perfect spot. This park is tucked away just off college drive. Theres a nice playground facility with unique slides built into a hill , a huge covered picnic area with grills and plenty of tables, as well as several smaller more private covered picnic tables. These spaces all fill up quickly on weekends but theres plenty of shade trees to sit under, bring a blanket! There is a clean restroom between the playground and the water park. Oh, didnt i mention the awesome free water park? Today there were at least 50 kids running around in the many sprinklers and there was plenty of room for more. As a transplanted Easterner, Ive been extremely impressed by the quality of the parks in Henderson. So many have these free water park facilities... This is the best one Ive found so far. This is such an awesome park, as are most of them in Henderson. Mission Hills is located off College Dr./Mission, not far from "old" Henderson. A few years ago, I used to take a boot camp class here. It's a really great multi-use park, with the water park area for kids, baseball fields and lots of wide open spaces. I would give it 5 stars if they added a dog park, that seems to be the only thing missing. Most recently, I was here on a Saturday morning to pick up my Bountiful Basket. There is plenty of parking and the park itself is easily accessible. If you live in the area, this is a great place to bring the kids or have a picnic. read more

Came here for the St. Thomas More Chuch Picnic and Mass. This is a great Park: a. The Park - Off the exist of 95 and College Drive in Henderson NV. This is a rather large park, with a lot of parking several bathrooms, large picnic areas for large groups and special events. b. Parking - Not only is parking spots available in the standard areas, you can park all around the park on the streets and the gravel areas that are not "finished". Plenty of parking. c. Events - This is an ideal park for events, you can apply for an alcohol permit as well and make this a real, real fest. d. The Hours - you can even rent overnight for special occasions and a wide variety of different areas for rental. This is a great place for many events and if you have a large one, go for it. Just be careful, if it is windy, this place will be windy. There is not much around it to block any of the wind. You cannot stake any tents so you wlil have to use water barrels or other forms of holding down structures. GK says go for it! read more

We love this park. We stumbled across this place in 2012, when we came for vacation, last July 4th. They were not shooting fireworks off in the strip, so we googled where we could go, and came up with Henderson. The park was great, had a real nice atmosphere...and the fireworks were awesome! I seriously love Henderson parks. Parks are just not the same where I'm from. It's not the closest one to me and there isn't a dog park here but it's a nice place to walk around with my dog on the leash. The grass is so green and is always well maintained - you'd never know you're in a desert. Garbage cans all around and the park is spotless. There are 2 baseball fields, basketball courts, tennis courts, an awesome playground for kiddos and a splash pad. There is a picnic area with a lot of tables, and benches are located around the park. One of my favorite parks! It's off 95 south and College Dr, I live off 215 and Rainbow and I drive all the way over here, my kids and I like the water pads. Plenty of seating, on grass under trees or seats by the BBQ. Never really crowded, plenty of parking. A must if your in the area or a 15 minute drive. read more

This place was packed especially when the Pokémon App launched. There were food trucks late afternoons, nice area splash pads for the kids, plenty of shades, clean and plenty of parking spots. One of my favorite parks to go to in Las Vegas (South Side). read more

Squirtles spawn here like crazy!! Great trail with plenty of pokestops. Definitely a go to spot if you want to get your blastoise!!

Have been to their tennis courts a few times (actually for pickleball). Nice courts but the restrooms are way too far away. Guess there's no getting around this issue, though. Other than that, there's ample parking and the place is easy to find. read more
