Lunch Drunkard's Noodles and Lunch Korean BBQ Galbi Rice Bowl to go
    Aaron H.

Not having enough time to dine in and go back to work for our lunch break, I got the food to go. They have a good selection for lunch, and the food was prepared relatively fast. The service was okay, nothing spectacular. The food was also subpar at best. The noodles were bland and oily, and the beef was chewy. It was like I was chewing gum at that point. The sushi was fine, again nothing spectacular. The crab rangoons were okay, probably the best about the meal to be honest. Not a bad place to go but also wouldn't come back. Not good locations as well - no parking but train accessible.

Yummy little Asian "fusion" joint in Mission Hill! They have a variety of Asian dishes on menu (Japanese, Thai, Chinese, Korean, Vietnamese), but the dishes themselves aren't necessarily "fused". Cute cozy interior, clean, and friendly staff. I popped in for a quick bite to eat, and ordered the Mission pad Thai. Done right. Noodles QQ, sauce well-balanced (not too sweet), moist, chicken perfectly cooked, and good portion size. Only suggestion would be to add cilantro, bean sprouts, and thinly julienned carrots. But was an excellent dish for their price point! Would defbe back!

I would not even bother coming here. I came here twice and it's enough to make me never want to come back ever again. The sushi is below mediocre. There is too much rice compared to the fish. Not to mention, the rice is dry and hard. The prices are okay for normal good sushi, but not worth it for their sushi. Their dumplings are okay. Not terrible, but not memorable either. I tried their curry rice dishes and I did not like them. It could be personal preference, depending on how you like your curry, but I did not like theirs. I understand why people/college students would come here though. It's cheap and it's the only sushi restaurant close by. The next closest sushi restaurant is Symphony Sushi, but that is closer towards the Northeastern side. It is pretty inconvenient for MCPHS students.

Forgot to take pics of food but here's a photo of the menu cover.

As you walk in the door you're greeted by a friendly hostess. Maybe I came at the wrong time or perhaps it's on Monday but its quiet and there is no one else at the establishment. There are many smaller tables for two set up. The kitchen is all the way in the back. I love the color and decor. The bright orange and green gives it a fresh vibe to the once dark place. The food is ok. It's a very weird mix they offer here. I opted for regular sushi. It want something to rave about but it's good. Unfortunately I felt the price is a bit steep, perhaps it's because it's in Mission Hill and you just didn't expect to pay this price or such a higher end price. The service was prompt so that was good. Will new to come back as try some of the less "Japanese" dishes in a somewhat Japanese restaurant.

Came here on a Sunday evening and it wasn't busy, service was super efficient and the food was really tasty. We got the seafood broth soontofu with pork and Korean beef. A little pricey for what you get but the food was still great - especially liked the sweet sauce that came with the beef and how spicy and flavorful the broth was. Both came with a bowl of white rice.

This was the closest sushi place to my friend's mission hill apartment, so we decided to give it a try during lunch. First of all, it is located in a sketchy neighborhood so you always have to keep your head up in the surroundings. During lunch time, there are a lot of students and professionals around, but at night time it is a different story around this area. My party of three didn't have to wait at all for a table. The service was okay, nothing outstanding. I found the lunch menu deals to be priced very reasonably, but the quality of food just changed my impression in an instant. Even being a budgeting college student, these cheap prices are not worth a revisit at all. Food was truly disappointing: -2 roll sushi combo (shrimp tempura [$1 extra] & sweet potato roll): This combo comes with a side salad of a miso soup. I chose the side salad with sesame dressing. The dressing was fine, but some of the salad leaves were wilted. Kind of disgusted and I was not willing to sort through all of the leaves anymore. Each roll set comes with 6 pieces. The sushi was MEEH. There is so much rice on the outside that I was full after 4 pieces. The shrimp was dry and disappointing, definitely not worth the extra $1. The sweet potato roll also had too much rice on the outside. As a result of the extra amount of rice, the pieces were almost uncomfortable to eat within one bite. -original pad thai: If you look at the yelp pictures of this pad thai, you will find that the noodles are white, not like a normal pad thai. The strange look coincides with the BLAND taste. It almost tasted like there was no flavor to it. WOULD NOT RECOMMEND! My friend had to drench it in siriacha to get some flavor and to make it edible. -mission pad thai (w/ chicken): The pad thai noodles were a different color than the original pad thai. I wasn't able to try this dish, but I assume that it was equivalent with the other food. If you are college student that is looking for food deals rather than the quality of food, I guess this is a place for you. But honestly in my opinion, it is not even worth your money. Parking: There is no designated parking lot. There is street parking, but it seemed like it was sparse. The Brigham Circle T is very close by (green line E).

Usually this is my go-to place for take out. I love their Bostonian Sushi combo. Today however I ordered my usual Thai Iced tea and there was a large piece of plastic at the bottom of my cup, careless and disappointing.

Had a craving for sushi but didn't want to dine out. Luckily this place delivered and I decided to try it out. I ordered the Philadelphia roll, the fiery salmon, tuna avocado and a seaweed salad. Delivery was just on time we waited about 40 minutes which is average. The sushi came with an ample supply of soy sauce and wasabi. I thought I was going to be disappointed but it was delicious. Everything was fresh. I would definitely order from here again.

This place was impressive in my opinion. The environment was warm, friendly, yet youthful. The staff were also friendly and was happy that they would check up on me randomly, rather than frequently like other places. Food was on par to my expectations and my only complaint would be that they make the food a bit more spicy.

Got a little over-eager and forgot to take a picture before I started eating. Whoops. Very good rolls, though!

We walked into a sleek, slightly dimmed space that felt more refined than a typical sushi spot, the kind of atmosphere that works well for a date night or a special occasion. The room was quiet and intentional, with a modern design that kept the focus on the presentation of the food and the pacing of the meal. The quality of the sushi is strong across the board. We ordered a few dishes and found the fish tasting fresh, with a clean texture that came through clearly in the nigiri and sashimi. The menu includes a wide range of nigiri, specialty rolls, and chef-driven items that go beyond standard sushi options. Dishes like tuna tataki, creative maki rolls, and wagyu-focused plates stood out for their presentation and attention to detail. Everything felt carefully prepared, with a focus on balance rather than overcomplication. What stood out to us was the consistency in execution. Even with a large menu, the dishes felt cohesive and well thought out. The flavors were clean and refined, and the plating added to the overall experience without feeling overly flashy. There were also cocktails and sake options that paired well with the food and made it easy to build a full dining experience. The main drawback is the pricing. It leans on the higher end, and while the quality is good, portions and value can feel a bit tight compared to other sushi restaurants in the area. Service was generally attentive, and reservations are recommended since it can get busy during dinner hours, especially on weekends. The staff moved through the dining room with professionalism, and the pacing of the meal was well handled, with courses arriving at a comfortable rhythm. Overall, Douzo Sushi delivers a high-quality sushi experience in a polished setting, with fresh ingredients and strong execution. It does feel slightly overpriced at times, but the consistency and atmosphere make it a solid choice when we are looking for a more elevated sushi dinner in Boston.

I am always surprised at how full I am when I leave! I'm stuffed every time. There is complementary miso soup with all of the bowls I've tried, outlined below. I really loved all of the bowls I've tried but my favorites are probably the Sake Aisuru Don and Kuromon Don. I just prefer more salmon to more tuna though, and they're all very good! Food: - Sake Aisuru Don: their classic all-salmon bowl! I loved the larger cuts of salmon, and I was pleasantly surprised that even the more pulverized salmon was flavorful! - Kuromon Don: loved the yellowtail in this! Each fish comes with two pieces (except the mackerel for which there are four), and I liked the sampler style for the salmon, tuna, yellowtail, and izumidai. - Maguro Toro Don: so much tuna! And all such high quality. The otoro was so fatty that it practically melted in my mouth without chewing. - Sake Maguro Hamachi Don: a mix of salmon, blue fin tuna, and yellowtail. I liked the yellowtail in this a lot and found that it stood out the most from the other two fish in this particular bowl!
