I have an unlimited membership. I signed up in the summer and thought the wash was great but throughout the winter, I've realized the brushes do not touch the front of my car and winter crap remains. My grill and bumper are never cleaned, not even the slightest touch by the brushes- just a few random water/ soap squirts. Well, they broke my phone holder right off the suction cup. I don't know who did it because when I went to talk to them, I was pretty upset and they just deflected and told me to leave. I've been going to Mister Car Wash for many years, not specifically this location but from what I've seen, they're one of the better options. When you pull up you're approached by CS to pick a wash, the options are exterior or both, choice of about 5-6 air fresheners.There's also an option for monthly memberships. Mister car wash is quick and very efficient, they do a great job wiping and drying. I like that their towels don't leave lint residue during the cleaning process. I signed up online for a monthly membership that I redeemed at a Mr Car Wash location. Later I discovered that they had signed me up for a second membership and double billed me for several months (in addition to continuing my membership for an additional month after I cancelled it). Trying to get the double billing corrected and refunded has been a pain. They said they couldn't see the double billing on their side, even though I provided evidence of the double billing. After working with the credit card company, Mr Car Wash acknowledged the double billing, but said it was my fault because they said I had never redeemed the online purchase at a location, even though I did. Finally, they said they would refund some of the double billing but not all. I responded, no, you are refunding all of the double billing. My request is currently being escalated to a more senior manager and I'm still waiting. I suspect that we'll eventually get the full refund submitted, but a customer shouldn't have to work this hard to get a company to correct their billing errors. And in doing so the company shouldn't blame the customer for the company's error. Oh, and midway through this process they closed my request and said they had done all they could, and then asked, "How satisfied are you in our ability to resolve your issue?" read more

When I tried to call them, I am put on a hold que for over 30 minutes, then their system just disconnects you, so you have to start the process over again. I was a Lyft driver for a while and I got a car wash subscription for the Holiday gas station car washes. That was handy because there are so many locations. I'm not a Lyft driver any more, but I decided to try the equivalently-priced Mister Car Wash subscription service just as a luxury for myself, and I'll probably keep it for a good while because I like it! This East 7th Street location is closest to my house, so it's where I've come the most. They are well-staffed with busy, dedicated workers who honestly seem passionate about keeping everything looking tip-top. Even when they're just passing through the waiting area you see them looking around and polishing or dusting the various surfaces as they walk through. This is all particularly notable in contrast to those Holiday gas station car washes, which are really barebones and which absolutely do not leave my car as clean and shiny as it gets at any Mister Car Wash. The hours are frustratingly limited; they close at 6pm every day. I'm honestly surprised by that, but if that's what it takes to have a staff that works so hard when they're open, then maybe they are onto something. Still, sometimes they're closed when I need a wash. They do a lot of business on the interior clean. I've only gotten it once; if you don't have interiors as part of your subscription package, you pay a $10 upcharge when you do want that. Not sure I'll do that again very often. When I did it that one time I asked for a jasmine air freshener and I can't detect any such fragrance. (I can smell other stuff, though, in case you're wondering if it's because I have COVID, which I don't, fair question though.) Of the locations I've gone to, I like this one the best because it's always very bustling with employees, and they flip my rear view mirrors back as I'm driving out at the end. I like mister car wash! I wish I could visit mister car wash once a week. I have 2 small children and a husband (who Is also a kid) who treat my car like a trash can, so I need mister car wash in my life. Not only were they fast, but their waiting area was nice too. Wow!!! I wish I had read the reviews before I went in for my "Premium" Car Wash at $50. I have been going here for 25 years and never dreamed I had to check yelp out!! First of all, I used to get an interior detail for $99 but when I called, it's now $175. Umm no thanks. I was selling my car so I just went with the $50 best car wash with more time spent on the interior etc. DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY ON THIS!!! I would not have even been satisfied had it been a regular car wash. I had to immediately turn around because my dash was not even dusted and I could swipe my finger inside the panel where the speedometer is and wipe up tons of dirt. They basically did nothing but vacuum the floors. I took it back and a Manager came to look and he said " yes that it terrible " and took it to the car wash side and then asked which stall I came out of and I told him I was over on the detailing side. He then said that the quality of cleaning was even worse if I paid for the Premium Wash. The Manager was nice but didn't do much. I am in shock as to how far this establishment has deteriorated. I'm sure many other loyal customers will be finding a new Car Wash/Detail place. Maybe it's a good time to open one up!! Today, Sept. 20, 2023 I drove 10 miles to the Mister Car Wash in downtown St. Paul, only to find that they are closed today until Saturday. So I had to drive back home another 10 miles. Due to road construction I have to go through detours both to get there and to get back home. Their website says that they are open today until 6 pm. Horrible customer service. This is my second time at Downtowner, and 2 out of 2 times I have not been happy with the service. The first time, they lost my car mat. I left my info and they said they would call when they found it. I ended up calling back 3 weeks later (after never receiving a call), which then was told they had found it. Why tell me you'll call if you never do? I get things happen, but this should have been handled in a different way. I then had to drive 30 minutes to go back and pick it up in which they offered me no type of coupon or service for my next wash. Not even an apology? What kind of customer service is that?? The car wash itself was great that time. Now today I went to try the place again. Paid for the Platinum, which was told was a full vacuum out of the car (but not extensive detailing). Mostly what I needed with a dog in the car! For the price, you'd think you would get a decent job. When I got the car back....outside:looks great. Inside: the seats were hardly touched! I could do it easily on my own, but I paid someone else to do it, expecting it would be completed since it was the service I paid for. The attached picture is my backseat. Now does that look like a good vacuum job to you?? Absolutely not. And okay fine, if the dog hair wasn't coming off, take a wet washcloth then. Again, I paid for the service, I would think I wouldn't have to touch it up afterward for paying that much. I will never go here again! I was sold on entry the $38 Full Service Platinum which the guy told me included a inside vacuum, dash conditioner and floor mats being washed. He advised me, if I purchased any of the other packages that the mats would be $1 each. But since I'm getting the Platinum package, that they would be cleaned and washed. He also advised the inside of the car would be vacuumed. But, when I was called to pick up my car, none of the inside was cleaned. All the sand and dirt was still inside the car. When I told the guy who took me to my car that the inside was supposed to be cleaned he looked at my receipt with annoyance and said "sure". I went back into the lobby to wait. He brought the car back less than 10 minutes later with the mats quickly sprayed with water and the worse ever inside vacuum job. I asked why there was sand still on the floor and he said he couldn't clean the "material" so there will always be sand. What the heck kind of excuse is this? They didn't even bother to vacuum the foot area in the back of the car. The debris that was back there was still there. First, they didn't even bother to clean the inside and then when they did, they did the WORSE job ever just to get me out of there! I will never go here again. Essentially, I paid $38 for a wash of the outside of my car. Something I could have done at any drive through at a gas station for less than $10. Rip-off. Ehhh...I hate to be the one who blows the 5 star streak at this place, but I really felt like I got jibbed at the Downtowner. After pitching out upwards of 70 bucks for what I hoped would be a super-duper car wash, I'd expect for all the filth to be removed from my dirt trap of a car. The speed part was great in that I got my car back within about 45ish minutes, but I wasn't a fan of the streak of bird bleep that was still smeared on my scrub/passenger's side window. When asked about it, the staff said it was a scratch that can't be removed. I consider myself as a pretty imaginative thinker up until now, but this comment just got me flabbergasted. I simply can't get how scratches can potentially create a smear pattern that resembled dried up bird's natural droplet. To think that I had to drop a pretty penny for this kind of service makes me convinced that it's about time for me to shop for a new carwash place. read more
