My daughter loves this place. I think it's the product of just perfect marketing. That truck jingle has permeated her little brain and she now equates Mister Softee with that dopamine hit of her sweet sweet drug....ice cream. SO, she often asks if we can stop here when we are close. The setup here is very cliche; a little hut with a teenage girl locked inside, handing icy treats through a window. The menu here is DEVASTATINGLY LARGE. Like, too large. There are a bazillion choices. The options here are maybe literally endless. The ice cream itself is entirely what you expect and are used to. A huge knock here is that it is cash only, so that absolutely sucks, although there IS one of those shady ATMs on the side. And although they do have seating, it is behind the store, and easy to miss. We've been here 3 or 4 times, and actually never noticed it until our last visit. It didn't look entirely pleasant either; hard metal tables, not protected from the sun. You might be better off just eating in your car. *shoulder shrug emoji* For the absolute lack of difference in taste or quality, I'd prefer them to bring the ice cream to me on the truck, but if we are in the area, I wouldn't be upset with stopping here. read more

My husband said no.You didn't want anything but when I pulled around and part.Guess who wanted a banana split. Then guess what?I decided to get a banana spit.Also it was so huge. I got cool whip and a cheerio in mind and he just got the cherry. I absolutely love Mister Softee! I've been eating their ice cream since I was a little kid. I have fond memories of chasing down the ice cream truck when it would pass through the neighborhood. I have to say this place is losing its timeless charm. After dinner last Sunday my fiancée and I decided to satisfy our spontaneous sweet tooth by going to Mr. Softee which was conveniently right down the road. We pulled up and walked up to the window to see old faded pictures advertising what they once had , notes falling off the window , taped signs that were outdated , and just a colossal amount of disorganized information on what exactly to order. We just decided to keep it simple by having a few milkshakes . I ordered a large banana split milkshake which actually ended up being a large strawberry milkshake . Although it was delicious , it was not at all what I ordered . You can tell this place is on its last legs and there isn't much being done to salvage the business. read more
