We walked down State Street, right past Mister Softee, to McConnell's, only to find a massive line - back to Mister Softee we went. This reminded me of the old McDonald's chocolate dipped cones and even the sundaes when they used to give you peanuts. The service was great and the "Softee" was decent.

We got delicious soft serve cones with a cherry dipped hard shell. They also had chocolate, blue raspberry, and butterscotch as options. Their other specials looked really yummy too for next time. Friendly service and beautiful ambiance given it's on State Street and a walk from all the shops and boutiques. I'd come back!

10/10 soft serve! Very affordable and the small cone was the perfect size for a midday snack.

5/5 stars for the best soft serve in town. The hot fudge sundae was huge and delicious. Excellent service and reasonable prices

My favorite damn ice cream place in CALIFORNIA. Finally someone does east coast soft serve right! The girls who own the place are amazing humans and are always to friendly to me and Jack (my dog) when we visit. They have a Pup Cup option for dogs and he always waits so patiently for it! Please support this local business!

My son couldn't pass this place without trying it. He rated it 5 out of 5, given his picky palate, that's impressive. He got one of the chocolate dipped cones, it was quite good for a reasonable price. And to top it off, our dog got a free pup cup!

Really kind staff and great options to the point where there is too much! They are running a cute mini cone promo where all mini cones are $1.75. The staff went above and beyond for me by mixing vanilla with the house made strawberry syrup to make strawberry ice cream which was great with the cone and my partner got the dip with caramel drizzle which he enjoyed. Overall a lot of ice cream and smiles and we want be happier. The East Coast and North/South Cali are the only places with Mister Softee trucks right now as side note. They also had really cute Mister Softee merchandise available.

This place is just what State Street needed. Delightful, affordable soft serve that can be customized in a myriad of ways. There are a few tables inside to enjoy your treat indoors and the staff was incredibly nice and service was quick. Will be back!

If you're from the east coast this is such a nostalgic place! The ice cream is just as I remember it from childhood. Friendly service too!

Soft serve that tastes so nice, we had to go twice! (with just an hour between the visits...) I have been begging my boyfriend to visit Mister Softee's with me for WEEKS and our schedules finally lined up! I am an absolute fanatic when it comes to soft serve treats, and this spot does not disappoint. The shop is located on State St., surrounded by a bunch of shops and restaurants. It's a perfect place to stop by for a treat and to cool down! The interior has a vintage aesthetic, making it a cute photo moment or a nice chill vibe to sit and relax! During our first visit, we went big. I got a large deep fried ice cream double cone, and my boyfriend got a large Oreo dusted double cone. He wanted strawberry cookie bits, but they were out at the time (this means we have to go AGAIN!). It cost $16, and boy is that honestly a deal. These cones were HUGE. I have never had a soft serve so large. The fried ice cream isn't actually fried, but rather is dipped in chocolate shell and rolled in cinnamon cereal bits (not Cinnamon Toast Crunch, the texture is more like corn flakes!). Wow. This was delicious. The chocolate was perfect and the cereal was so good!! The soft serve itself was super rich and decadent, not fluffy or wiggly like it can be. Super delicious and creamy. The only downside was this thing was melting faaasssttt. I was eating with urgency for most of the time but honestly it made me feel like a kid. Definitely a bit of an inconvenience haha! My boyfriend liked his cone too! Had the same comments as me. His was not melting as fast since it wasn't dipped! We spent about 30 minutes in store this visit. After we went shopping, walked around, and there was an itch in our minds. We wanted more ice cream LMFAOOO. So, we sauntered our way back, and got a second order. A mere hour later... This time, I got their small rainbow Philly ice and my boyfriend got a small chocolate dipped vanilla waffle cone. This visit was $12. Philly ice is basically like Italian ice, with a slightly more icey texture. The rainbow Philly ice is pineapple, cherry, and blue raspberry flavor. There was a higher ratio of cherry in the cup, which isn't a bad thing! All the flavors are good, though the pineapple does get a bit outshined among the other flavors. I stole a bit of my boyfriend's soft serve to eat with the ice, and that was a great combo. My boyfriend loved the waffle cone. This thing was HUGE. For a small, we both expected it to be smaller but wow, it was huge and heavy! But a big bang for your buck. He loved it. We housed this second order in about 15 minutes. We have not been to a food spot twice in a day together until now. Mister Softee has changed our lives for the better! Good deals, great products, and a fun time. 10/10, if you haven't been, you gotta go asap!

We checked this spot out while strolling through downtown. There was a summer promotion for students, $1.75 for a cone. What a steal! The worker was super nice and friendly, there's a good amount of seating inside! ig: @cravingswithcat

The soft serve was delicious! The chocolate dip was not necessary and was a bit messy. They gave my dog a pup cup with a dog bone on top which was really sweet.

This reminds me so much of our beloved Foster Freeze! Love Mister Softee! Very simple menu but so many options - shakes, dipped cones, sprinkles, ext. It's also a great place to bring kids!

This is the kind of meal fit for a hot summer. It's packed with flavor, and so generously sized that I saved the other half for dinner. The price was about $18 after tax, kinda pricey but the size and quality of ingredients match the price point. I'd recommend sharing this sandwich because it's a generous size. Since it was a warm Santa Barbara day, I had to finish things off with ice cream. I ordered the Maple Bacon Praline and Brown Butter Banana Toffee. If you like a dirty soda, then you can find it here too. I don't drink soda, but the combination of flavors on the menu sounded really good.
