I booked my spray tan with Suzie while she was driving in her car (she told me this while we were on the phone.) I put our appointment in my Google calendar as we made it. I showed up 5 minutes before my appointment time and she came out and called my name as well as another woman's name. She then turned to me and said, "Your appointment was at 3:15 (It was 3:25) so I'm going to do her first. I was looking at my clock and wondering where you were!" She made sure and said this loud and in front of everyone. I was a bride, 2 weeks before my wedding, and I wasn't having it. I waited until she took the other customer back to the room and then quietly gathered my things and walked out. She took me in a few days notice; no wait; great atmosphere; plenty of parking and very reasonable prices. I highly recommend going to see Suzie for an airbrush tan. She is very professional and she knows her stuff. I called her last minute, and she managed to fit me in that day! Very sweet woman and from reading all the reviews, it looks like she does a great job most of the time! I would be careful, though, if you are getting a spray tan. I got one four days before a wedding I was in, and I was still super dark and orange on the wedding day. I think she gave me the express tan (supposed to wash off in 1-2 hours) instead of the normal one. She told me to wash it off in 6 hours and that's what I did. It was very embarrassing as it did not look natural at all, and there was no way to make it fade faster without it looking patchy. There was no reparation in any way. I have NEVER had someone else rock it out like she did. Usually they put too much eye make up or heavy foundations and I never really end up liking it! Airbrushing is definitely the way to go! A deceptive and passive aggressive experience with Jeannine. Had a Groupon for a blowout, and Jeannine stated the Groupon fine print mentioned an extra charge could apply for very long hair. This was untrue. The fine print for the Groupon https://www.groupon.com/deals/jeannine-at-mistique-salon reads as follows: "Promotional value expires 120 days after purchase. Amount paid never expires. Appointment required. May be repurchased every 180 days. Merchant's standard cancellation policy applies (any fees not to exceed voucher price). Limit 1 per person, may buy 1 additional as gift. Valid only for option purchased. All goods or services must be used by the same person. Merchant is solely responsible to purchasers for the care and quality of the advertised goods and services." After waiting over 15 minutes for my appointment (booked several days in advance), Jeannine informed I would have to pay an additional $20 (on top of my Groupon) to have a basic blowout. I respectfully debated the issue with her, and said I was unaware of a possible up-charge as it was not stated on the Groupon site. She asked if I'd like a blowout or not. She said that if I didn't want one to simply request a refund from Groupon. However, I had an event to go to within 2 hours of my appointment and needed the service (there was no time to go elsewhere). So I conceded to pay $20 in addition to my Groupon. I wish I had just left. What followed was an extremely rushed and passive aggressive experience that was anything but professional. I felt like an unwanted guest. She aggressively dug her nails into my scalp during my shampoo, and made me feel very uncomfortable. I've had dozens of salon shampooing experiences, and am accustom to vigorous shampooing, but nothing compared to this. Hardly any product was used. She never inquired about my level comfort. She was very upset that my blowout could "possibly take 40 minutes," and she said she had another client coming in at 4:45 (yet she hadn't even sat me until about 4:20). She repeatedly expressed disdain that my hair could take time to do--even after I had agreed to pay 100% more than I thought I would. The result was a very lackluster. I was almost in tears when I left because I felt like such an inconvenience. I honored her time, but she did not honor my experience. I thought stylists were suppose to be courteous and professional. Okay, let me tell you. I texted Suzie on a Wednesday, I believe, for a Friday appointment. She wrote me back that night and could see me within 30 minutes of my requested time. I was so excited due to her outstanding reviews and pics of her work. She definitely lived up to the hype. I arrive on Friday to a comfortable shared-salon style place and she is ready within minutes of my appointment time. She is beautiful and absolutely charming! She knew instantly that I would need a different chair and didn't miss a beat or blink. Once I was situated, she began. She moves like a person with tons of experience and high levels of comfort and confidence in what she does. She asked what I was doing, where I was going, my preferences, and questions that I thought showed an incredible level of service, consideration, and attention to detail. Along the way she offered tips and tricks that I could apply to my own makeup routine, as well as tips to keep my makeup for that evening looking great. Whenever I need a sunless tan for a special occasion Suzie is my go to girl. She's very nice and professional and I've always felt comfortable standing there in next to nothing while she sprays me. My results are always great and she gets you out quickly. I also love that she has a 1-2 hour solution that you leave on only a couple of hours and can rinse off. I always disliked having to leave it on for so long and sometimes having to sleep in it. With the faster formula I can get the same great results without having to have the solution on as long. I've never used her makeup services but I'm sure they are great, I will definitely call her when I have the need for a professional makeup job. From what I understand she also goes out to clients if needed for a bride and wedding party which is super convenient for the day before for tanning or the day of for makeup. The only tip I have is always confirm your appointment the day before, I love her to death but I have had her forget an appointment a couple of times. She did make up for it though and quickly accommodated me. So now I just make sure to confirm the day before if I've had the appointment set for a while in advance. My boyfriend and I are on our annual Miami trip. I have naturally pale skin. I've tanned at bed salons every now and then but still neer could get darker. I only burn and then tan, but have never been tan or brown. I wanted to try airbrush before I went to - of all places - south beach. I researched airbrush tan in town and Susie and her salon came highly recommended. I scheduled an appointment the evening before my trip. I was nervous and not sure how it would come out. Everyone worries about being orange. It came out Beautiful! I HAVE NEVER BEEN TAN IN MY LIFE. I'm now a beautiful tan on the beaches of Miami, and I love it. I'll be back. I have waiting a month to leave this review because I didn't want to leave it out of anger. I used Susie to have my airbrush tan and make up done for my wedding, I planned it 3 months in advance, and even had a trial run. On the week of my wedding when I got the spray tan, it was uneven, really splotchy. I texted Susie concerned about it, and she, not knowing I work in Internal Medicine, DIAGNOSED me over a text with a infectious and highly contagious skin disease, that looked nothing like what my skin presented with. I wish she would have just said "I am not sure why its doing that, come in and I will fix it". My skin was still blotchy on the day of my wedding. Second, as stated above, I had scheduled my make up with her months in advanced, and about a month before, she told me her daughter would actually be doing my make up, which I was okay with. We have verbally confirmed one time, and she texted another, which I did not notice. On the day of my wedding, I went in, blotchy skin and all, to get my make up done only to be told by her daughter my appointment was at 12:30 instead of the 11:30 verbal I had received. I was emotional, its hard for a bride to adjust to sudden changes day of. Susie called and apologized, but I was unable to make my hair appointment, as everything was based on that 11:30 appointment. As a result, I had to cancel my hair appointment and scramble to find someone to take me for a bridal updo. Even further, her daughter did not even get to me until 12:50, 20 min past what she promised. As fir the make up, I showed her a picture of what I wanted, and she did not do it. I kept asked her to go a little darker in my eyes, and she would hardly change anything. After 3 attempts to get her to go darker, I was annoyed and just told her to move on. I ended up adding more myself. Then, at the end of the appointment, She charges me $40 more than Susie had quoted me at!! I was so angry. She eventually came down to the price Susie and I had discussed. This was the biggest regret I have on my wedding, I was frazzled the rest of the day and 20 minutes late to my own wedding. I will never be using them again, and I just hope the other brides out there will read this! It was not worth the stress, find another salon! read more

I had Suzie do my makeup for my wedding. It took us a couple of tries to get it right, (she tried silicone and water based air brushing on me). I wasn't really sure what I wanted but she was willing to work with me and was so patient with me while I figured it out. She was able to recommend a lady that could clean up my brows, and scheduled our hair in the salon as well. On the day of the wedding she did my makeup and the bridal party as well and when I saw it I was so pleased with it. I don't have any professional photos yet, but if it looks that good on a regular camera photo I cannot wait to see the professional ones! Although my tan was good I was charged more than expected. I talked to her about buying a two pack, the first one would be my trial before my wedding and then a second one right before, when I checked how much I was charged for the my spray tan it was the price of a single tan vs the two pack price. I contacted her to see if she would give me the additional $5.00 off on my next visit and she said I only bough the one tan.
