I always pick Blo over the dry bar because of the comfortable chairs they have while getting my hair done (dry bar have the most uncomfortable chairs) and they always seem to have much better parking. I paid $90 for a simple low bun updo that I was not happy with. The first attempt the hair specialist suggested a messy bun, which didn't look any different than what I do to go to the gym. He kindly changed it to a tighter low bun which I hated but smiled anyways. It ended falling out before the event I had. It actually made me cry bc I felt this was the worst $90 I spent as a 30 yr old. He was kind but I will not ever return or suggest anyone to get an updo. Booked a curly hair dry with a diffuser because I had surgery on my hand, and can't do it myself at the moment. If they are going to sell it as an option, they should book people with experience, or make sure everyone is trained. This is the first time I ever left any place wanting to cry. The curl pattern in the back was broken up, and they tried to "match" the back by using a tiny curling want in the front. None of it looked like my actual curl pattern when it isn't broken up. Watching a curly hair account on Instagram would have alleviated a lot of what happened. It was 30 minutes into the service before they even started to dry it. At two hours, I finally called it, paid, and left. i will just use dry shampoo until I get my stitches out. read more

The shampoo bowl experience is always my favorite. They don't rush this part and gets your hair clean and smelling like a dream. I went two days in a row. The first day a girl did my hair and it came out fine. Went back this morning for a 9:00 appt for an 11:00 event. A guy did it. I requested pillow talk style / beach waves. He had me facing away from the mirror the whole time he did the blowout so I did not see what was happening. When he flipped me around, I looked like Nancy Reagan in the 80s and I told him this is not what I wanted. He apologized and said he forgot what I told him I wanted and he did a style called uptown curl. He redid it, but at that point, the blowout already had extreme volume at the roots, 1980 style so he was just redoing the curls on the ends. I am now on my way home to wash my hair and blow dry it and redo it myself. I wasted $77 because I also got an anti-frizz treatment although the results are not as described, and I wouldn't recommend that treatment. I also wasted over an hour of my life and still have the burden of having to do my own hair. The problem with this location is that they are inconsistent and if you rely on them to go for an event, you may end up late because you may have to go to plan b. The salon was really nice, clean and styled really nice! I really like the product the use UNITE, and overall the blow out seemed to be pretty good. However, my overall experience was not great. The staff was less than friendly and not welcoming at all. It was as if they were annoyed to have clients. My blow out didn't have as long of a last as others I've had at other places.. I will say if you're looking to get your hair down for the night, this is a good fit. They also seemed to have some nice updo options.
