I wanted to look for a place that has/had all good reviews and luckily, I found this amazing place to get my hair and make up done for prom. I kept reading/hearing great things about this lady name Johanna. I didn't know I was texting/talking Johanna until I finally asked her name. Let me just say that Johanna and the other workers like Luisa are very dedicated, they listened, and are very patient. Johanna is a kind person and answered any questions I had. I normally don't like to go to the salon because my hair usually gets mess up but Luisa did a wonderful job of curling my hair. I was freaking out about it not staying on all night but my hair stayed on all day from Saturday 4 pm-Sunday night. I normally don't wear make up but I love the make up Johanna did for me and it also stayed on all day. She is truly talented. Bess puts the B in Best with a capital B!. When i first moved to San Antonio I was a bit nervous on finding a new hair dresser, but I decided to take my chances on Bess and she did NOT let me down!. I first met her at Versi The Salon and Spa, and I have been going to her ever since. She really goes ABOVE AND BEYOND in what she does. I have seen Bess Zowarka at Versi Salon and Spa for quite some time now for both color and cutting service, which are both excellent. She is friendly, warm, listens to what you want, and is stylish herself (which I think is important for someone in this industry). Recently I have gone to her a few times for updo services and was completely blown away! Her updos are so beautiful. I would say she specializes in soft, romantic, styles that focus on your best features. On one occasion I was unsure of what I wanted, but just told her the overall look I was going for, and she nailed it off of her own intuition. Bess is a fabulous hair artist that I had the pleasure of working with for both my bridal portraits and wedding day. I was in awe of how amazingly perfect my hair looked! She captured the pictures I showed her and turned my hair into a masterpiece of perfection that I never wanted to take down! Heights salon is the trendiest new salon in Alamo Heights! I stopped in today to get my teeth whitened by Johanna and also got my hair done by Mario. Johanna was so friendly and professional and easy to work with, I immediately saw the difference! Mario did a fantastic job on my hair and gave me the perfect summer braid updo! The salon is so fresh and airy inside with gorgeous artwork on the walls. The nail boutique also has a huge variety of colors and does shellac. What a great spot for all my beauty needs!
