I did not want to report this to my insurance company to have my rates increase for an accident I did not cause. The first quote I got from a local shop in West Hartford was for $2,000 to fix the repairs (keep in mind the book value of the car is $3500) After telling the second shop that I really only wanted the bare bones done to make the car functional as I was going to pay out of pocket and planning to give it to my daughter who is turning 16 this year, they quoted me $3000 to get the car "functional." I then took it to T&J where they quoted me $890! Thats a huge difference! They were willing to work with me, listened to what I was looking for and offered GREAT service. They were able to find used parts which saved me money which the other shops didnt seem willing to do. I dropped the car off in the morning and they had a shuttle to bring me to and from work, and they were EARLY and waiting for me to pick me up from my office after work! My car looks much better and is now safe for the road thanks to the team at T & J Auto. It is family owned and operated as well which is really nice. It is a rarity to find an honest, customer service oriented team in the auto repair work field in my experience and these guys delivered. The services provided are, frame realignment, auto painting, glass repair, paintless dent repair, wheel alignment, RV repair, commercial auto body repair, and collision services. Unfortunately, we were in a fender bender and needed our vehicle repaired. I can't comment on pricing because we went through our insurance. From the day we dropped off the car to the day it was finished, it was 13 days total. They mentioned it could take up to a month because they had to wait for parts from the manufacturer, so this was pretty good. Also, they would send us daily texts with updates on our vehicle. Dropping off and picking up the vehicle was easy. Most of the people working there were cordial. The parking lot was spacious; it was easy to get in and out of; it is in a convenient location. The repairs that were done on our vehicle was good. Overall, a good body shop to get auto body repairs, especially if your insurance covers it.

Melissa and Mike were professional and it was apparent from the start that these folks knew their "stuff". Because both were insurance claims, these people arranged for rentals to be picked up at the shop, and because there were "issues" with the estimates, they contacted the insurance adjuster. I was told Brookfield did a great job with paint so I was surprised to see a blob of paint left behind. Frank came out to look and said, "Oh, that's the manufacturer's mark." This was, of course, a lie. So, I had the tech come out and look and the first thing he said was, "Oh, that shouldn't be there." He gave me two options: take the car as is, or come back (it needed to be completely re-done to fix this problem). Ultimately, I decided to take the car, but I asked him, "what happens if paint starts to flake off" and he said there was a "lifetime guarantee of their work, for as long as I owned the car." I asked whether this was in writing anywhere, and he said, "it's a verbal agreement." Hmmmmmm..... By the way, when I went to pick up the car it was filthy -- it had rained and there was mud caked in the wheel wells. And there's something weird they do with billing: they don't charge you X dollars for paint, they charge you X dollars per hour of paint. Um, wut? On the whole, I would not say this was a good experience. I didn't appreciate Frank's attempt to con me.
