Set up a time that would work for us inside 24 hours of our call. Came to the house, sized it all up and - rather than stick us for a whole new door system - he let us know it would only take a new spring to have the system back up and running. What a relief! Eric told us his philosophy - he doesn't fix anything that doesn't need it and he charges everyone the same fair prices for his fine work. How can you want anything more than that? He was done in less than an hour (as he carries supples on his truck). The price was very fair and we were all super happy to see everything fixed so fast. Eric stopped before leaving to help us program a door opener and didn't watch the clock while he did, he was just happy to help out. We then note that we have a lifetime warranty on springs. Nice ... We had explored another local small business with great service records and his pricing was less than a hundred difference. Probably should have gave him the deal in retrospect. The price of labor is quoted as over 300 now alone for maybe an hours work with Broten. The others were quite a deal less. Instead we set appointment for 2 business days later and request an early morning appt. "We only get to your area in afternoon is offered and window is 11am-3pm". You know it would be like winning lotto to get the early visit this Friday. Client initiated call to make sure we are still on a roster as holiday weekend coming. Tech arrived after 130pm. Tech is wonderful, Knowledgeable and loves working for Broten. His work was efficient and very little mess which is a plus for tech again. So this will likely be last use of Broten. We have purchased front doors, garage doors, motors and more over many years. It is now clear the only value and respect of revisit is the consumers. Only the lifetime spring warranty is of any benefit to use here. Truly ashame .... we suggest now looking elsewhere too. Give the smaller guy a chance like we did when Broten was less corporate and followed thru the years.
