Really great crowd here, very welcoming and laid back. Perfect spot to kickback and enjoy some beers. Indoor and outdoor seating for whatever you are looking for.

Opened in June of 2015 this is Ooltewah's and Collegedale's newest bar. It's popular too after 5 o'clock. They have TVs too, so you can enjoy your beer while watching your favorite sports. You can get a flight of beers that include samples of 4 different kinds. I liked the romp red which is my favorite beer in this new bar. It's a red beer which has a dark Amber taste to it. I actually got a pint of it. Bathrooms: I was impressed with how clean the bathrooms are and up to date they were. Of course I know every thing is new in here but they went the extra mile of putting these bathrooms in the perfect spot. It's in the middle down a hall in a separate area away from the bar. It's unusual but really nice decorative idea where they placed it.

So happy to have a craft beer place in Ooltewah! When we visit the family, it is nice not having to go downtown to chill and drink craft beer. We have gotten growlers filled here as well. We always have great service, and they are always happy to put whatever we want on the TVs.

Southern Grist Peanut Butter Grape Sour Very good!

We stopped in here to check it out and our bartender /server Lauren was amazing! She made 2 extremely excellent recommendations to me, the Southern Grist Peanut Butter Grape Sour and the Orpheus Lime Coconut Sour. I would drink both again in a heartbeat. Both very, very yummy!!

New to town and was looking for a place to try all the local craft beers, absolute gem Hoptown is! I come every so often to fill up my growlers, and Bonnie is incredibly helpful when suggesting beers for me to try. The vibe is immaculate and am looking forward to the cocktails they rollout here soon.

Cool place to have a beer!

Great if you like IPAs and sours or cheap canned beer that you can get anywhere. Not so great if you like a variety.

I ordered the Carne Asada, which is usually my "go to" when I eat at a mexican restaurant. Wait time wasn't so bad. The chips and salsa were good too, the tortilla chips were crunchy and salsa was flavorful. But unfortunately, my Carne Asada fell flat. I asked the beef to be cooked at medium but the beef was tough and overcooked. I was surprised at how dry it was. There were some pieces of the beef that were decent, but overall just too overcooked and dry for me. It was pretty disappointing actually for my first time here. Service was great, they were attentive and checked up on us from time to time. I just felt like the Carne Asada price at $17.99 did not correlate with the quality of meat at all. The other sides were good, like the avocado, beans and rice. And the overall portion size was great too. But for the dish as a whole, I can't justify the price for that. I've been to other mexican restaurants in the area with better Carne Asada that I'd choose in a heartbeat. Despite that experience, I'd come back here but I'd definitely order something else.

So we arrive just about 15 minutes early but were immediately seated. It was a bit confusing about where the host stand is since there are two entrances... but no problem because the owner was at the bar to greet us. The customer service is top tier! The venue is beautiful! But the food ... left something to be desired. I ordered the pot roast based on recommendations from the waiter. He also recommended the greens over the green beans. I also added a side of mashed potatoes and fried corn. So first, the plate came out messy (see pic). It would have only taken a second to wipe off the edge of the plate. Then the pot was appeared shredded and covered in thyme and rosemary. Both over powered the meat. I'm wondering if I had the last piece and they covered things up with the extra seasoning from the bottom. My friend also ordered the pot roast and although hers was also chopped, she did not have as much thyme and rosemary- although she complained that it was too much. Next the greens tasted unseasoned and undercooked. The fried corn was not fried but were kernels of sweet corn in some type of cornstarch slurry - awful! The mashed potatoes are boxed but edible however the white gravy was not good. I missed on the menu that the gravy is white - it should be brown. Finally, we received a piece of cornbread- it was very dense but sweet. My friends liked it but I did not. My friends had a mix of feelings from "it was good" to "just ok but I won't take my left overs home." Needless to say I also did not take my left overs home. One saving grace about the meal was the fruit tea! It was delicious! I also ordered two chocolate covered strawberries for dessert and I wished I ordered more! Since it was four friends birthday- the singer (yes there was live music) called out their names and sang a rendition of "Happy Birthday". This same singer had the room up and dancing on several song! She did a wonderful job. Plus the restaurant provided a free dessert to each of the four birthday friends! They all enjoyed their desserts! So the verdict... the venue is beautiful and a vibe for a Saturday night but unfortunately I won't return for the good. There are much better spots for soul food at much cheaper price point!
