I was very excited about trying this place and was sadly disappointe. I ordered what I thought was going to be a medium pizza thin crust and small order of wings. my wife picked it up brought it home and I was shocked to see how small the pizza actually was. it says it's supposed to be 9 slices which would be fine for just the 2 of us. well the actual slice count would be be more like 3 to 4 if you go by what an actual slice of pizza would look like. it was cut into very small squares and is barely enough to feed one person. I do it tas good but not worth the price of $14.Next the wings are the apple wood flavor and are over cooked and dry but have good flavor. my complete order was $30 without tip as I had purchased it online. I could have got a large pizza and wings from papa John's for the same amount and had leftovers. we will not be buying from this place again. read more

Ordered pizza and wings through Door Dash - which I swore I wouldn't use this service again - (deep sigh)...but I did. I ordered The Classic with a thin crust, and wings with a dry rub. We went to Old Chicago Pizza in the Northgate Mall (Hixson) for the first time today. It was great!! Our server was Alexis and she really created a great experience for my wife and me. I wanted to try a certain house dressing but thought it might be too spicy. Alexis offered to put it in the side and brought me my second choice on the side, too. She was friendly, funny and just the right amount of attentive. The pizza was delicious! We usually count calories but we decided to splurge with the deep dish option. It was SO GOOD! We had the "three-for" special for lunch - salad (or soup), personal pizza (big!) and fresh-baked chocolate chip cookie-pizza slices. Went during Happy Hour and the place was empty. I sat at the bar and was surrounded by sports shows on TV. Ordered their specials pizza rolls and boneless wings. The Thai sauce was delicious, I wish I could have splits my sauce choices but I guess it's one per order. The pizza rolls were stuff either pepperoni and cheese. The order came with 6 rolls and a marinara dipping sauce. The sauce was a little plain but pretty good with the rolls. They had several choices of beers and I got to try a Yee Haw Vols special! I'm not sure if that's normal for this location but it may be a good idea to order it with extra cook time if so. Well, I stopped by there with a friend for at lunch time around 12 PM. My friend and i sat at the bar. He asked the bartender what the difference in cost was between a large and small beer. She said I don't know, we charge by the ounce. I said he just wanted to know the big difference and her response was I just work her and punch numbers and walked away. When he decided on a beer, he asked for a large and got a small... she was visibly irritated. Being a founding member of this location when it first opened, I was ready to just walk out but we were hungry. Service pretty much unfriendly and sucked. My friend, he was still a little irritated and as we left, he asked to talk to the manager. The hostess went to get him and the manager would be out. After a 5 minute wait, we left without talking to anyone. I used to come here alot but now, I am just cutting up my OC Card and will NEVER set foot in another one. read more

While I've visited a different location in the past, this time I ordered from via DoorDash and the food came almost as hot and delicious as in person. The Meat Me calzone was filled to the brim and lasted enough for 2 meals. The "Italian Grinder" pizza was just the right mix of savory with a touch of sweet and the crunch if the pan crust just really brings it all together. That one lasted a bit longer but still went fast. I'd definitely consider ordering from here again for your pizza fix in the future of you're into thicker pies. read more

This place is FILTHY...like it hasn't been cleaned in years. The booths below the table top are nasty and the lamp lights above the tables and host station have so much dust it's hanging off the sides of the fixture. While I waited for my order I also noticed food in chairs at empty tables. It was dead inside and there were plenty of staffing just standing around. Late night happy hour. One of the few places in the area that is open late. The spaghetti and meatballs are great. I recommend the meatball pizza. Stopped by a few times. We have now made 3 visits to Old Chicago and the food is a so darn good. The best lasagna we have ever had. It is consistently delicious. The service is consistent too. It is consistently bad. If the food wasn't so good, the service would shut the place down. It isn't going to improve either as the other consistency has been a "manager" in a booth on his phone paying little to no attention to anything happening in the restaurant. My husband and I have been trying different pizza places lately. We had not been to Old Chicago in at least a year so we gave it a try. It took a while to get out jalapeño pretzel pits but they were hot and delicious. Then when our pizza came it was warm but not hot. We got the deep dish Chicago 7. The toppings were a bit burnt but the dough was a little doughy in spots. Years passed they've had problems with their pizza oven and I don't they have corrected it yet. Our first time going, I will never return. Our waitress Morgan was great! She understood the difference between vegan and vegetarian without me having to explain. This young lady made sure she liked at all the ingredients of the package before settling on a salad with lemon vinegarette dressing. Pizza that the family got was correct, but something in the pizza ran my spouse to the bathroom. The sauce was flavorless to him. My son enjoyed his pizza and the daughter had wings. The atmosphere was good for a sports tavern. There was a loud obnoxious employee using ample amount of profanity someone should have rectified the problem. The price it was not worth it at all. I could have gone to domino's ate and spent less. The manager never came over to apologize or anything for the employee/guest. The only way I'd be back is if my kid beg me. I'm usually not picky about pizza places at all but unfortunately Old Chicago is really mediocre, especially for its price point. We got the regular $16 Chicago pizza not knowing that it's only big enough for 1 person, and some of the ingredients on it were completely charred. We also ordered a small spaghetti which came with basically no seasonings and was bland. The wings and salad were average, the only really good item on the menu was the cheesy garlic bread. We also waited a long time for the food to arrive, not sure what happened there. Unfortunately I'd look elsewhere for a good pizza place. read more

Took my wife here today for her first time. The place was not very crowded and we were seated right away. I was very surprised at how great our server was. She took her time helping her go through the pizza options for the best price and did an excellent job with us. We both got our drinks and cheesy bread appetizer and then shared a thick pizza. We split toppings on pizza since we have different tastes. It came out hot and tasty with some extra marinara on the side. Love the bar area when I come here alone. Food was good...service was better. Not a huge drinker so I have no feedback for the bar. Manicotti was good. My son said the calzone was good. The pretzels were super delicious but that cheese was...well, kind of gross. Not sure what that was all about. But won't try that again. I was impressed so much that I will have to come back. They have only been opened for about a month. It's sits along the outside of the mall. So, you can access it easily from the outside. It has been really popular since it opened. I heard some nights that they are so busy you can't even get in. They have outside seating too which will be great when it gets warmer. This looks to be an upscale restaurant. They spent some money constructing this building. I sat at the bar because there was a wait time of 15 minutes but I wanted to sit at bar anyway. One feature I noticed is the silver 24 inch ceiling square metal looking tiles above the bar area. This makes the bar area into a pleasant atmosphere. There is also 3 55 inch TVs directly behind the bar with two additional TVs (off site) on both sides of the bar. menu items ordered: Bar B Q Bacon Cheddar Burger, house salad, sweet tea and a Samuel Adams Boston Lager on drought. The burger was excellent as well as delicious. It was so impressive and cooked so well that I thought it didn't have any sauce on it at all. However, the bar b q sauce is underneath the meat and melted cheese. It was awesome and well worth the drive. read more

This place is okay! I'll assume the one by Hamilton place is a better deal with all the rave that happened. My girlfriend and I decided to try something random while we were in town and we found ourselves here including a walk to the mall. run-of-the-mill experience for sure. Food was average, service was average and atmosphere was relatively nice since it was the holidays. I don't have too much to praise about and definitely don't have anything to complain about. Worst service ever. Walked in before 10pm and noone was in the front so we waited a minute. No one came. Looked around and saw two servers working on something in the back of the bldg. They never looked up. We looked to left and saw the bartender, but his back was turned away. My husband decided to look around the bar for a seat, so we headed to the bar area. By that point the bartender just stared at us the entire time we walked slowly, hoping an employee would greet us (or tell us where we could sit). No one did.
