One word to describe our brief experience with TRYING to order a cake with Mitra Art Cake is - UNPROFESSIONAL! Here is the story...We found Mitra Art Cake through Yelp and decided to inquire about ordering a cake for our daughter's 6th birthday. We went on her website and filled up the form to place an order and to make sure she is available to make the cake on the date we needed it for. She responded to the message the next morning asking a few question about the number of guest and for a picture of the cake we want. She also provided some information about pricing and flavors. I replied to her message providing all the information she asked for and pictures of a few cake designs our daughter liked. This is where it went downhill. Two and half days went by and no response from her. So i thought maybe she didn't receive my email (which is impossible since I simply clicked reply back and even double checked the email address). So to give it the benefit of the doubt, I sent her another email. It's been 5 days and still no message back from her! It's so unprofessional to leave your customers hanging! We tried ordering a small 2 tier unicorn cake and didn't mind paying $250 or more if needed (and we usually give a tip, too). We've been ordering customized cake for our daughter since she turned one and we are very familiar with pricing and timeline. We recently moved to the area and the original cake bakery we usually order from is an hour away so we decided to try a new place that is local. Unfortunately, we picked your place. Word of advice, if you were not available to make the cake for the date we inquired about, it would've been appreciated if you had just been honest about it and messaged us back. Or if you simply didn't want to make the cake because of the designs we provided, you could've told us that and maybe provide suggestions. read more
