I got the deep dish French toast with strawberry shortcake topping. The French toast and in small bite sized fried nugget form and they did not taste fresh. Something that other people disliked about this place was something I loved! This historic arcade space was great and the breakfast was so cheap and amazing! My boyfriend got a spicy omelette (can't actually remember the name, but I think it was the Southwest) with toast and bacon, while I got the Apple Cinnamon caramel walnut goodness pancakes (my own name for them) with homefries and sausage. Where do I begin? Let me start out by saying the staff is friendly and helpful except for the blond girl with an attitude that take your order up front. She makes a face and does not seem to like her job. Parking sucks here not their fault. The manager which was a nice fellow pit the order up for me right at 12. I was starving and ready for this blt that he talked up very well. Two guys on the griddle and my "ultimate" blt came out in 25- 30 minutes and it went in right at 12 pm which is when the serve lunch items and not one minute before. They were not busy. Came across this place on Yelp while in Flagstaff to visit the Grand Canyon. It's worth the 4 1/2 stars it has which I was happy about. It's located inside the old town shops downtown surrounded by a bunch of cool stores. You can create your own breakfast or breakfast sandwiches hence the name "MIX." My girlfriend got a breakfast sandwich and I got a breakfast plate. My plate was good but I should've got the sandwich with the English muffin it was way better than my plate. Honestly my plate looked empty or maybe the plate was big I don't know. My girl let me try her sandwich and it was AMAZEBALLS. Great breakfast/brunch place. MIX has a very simple concept and gives customers a variety of options for sides with their entrees. There is also a small coffee/alcohol bar to the side with unique combinations. I got the Carrot Cake Stack with breakfast potatoes and sausage links. The carrot cake pancakes were topped with whipped cream cheese and carrot flakes. It was not too sweet and tasted delicious with the maple syrup. Out here in Flagstaff for 5 weeks and I wanted to find something good for brunch. We found MIX on our search and decided to try it during our first full day here. Located in downtown Flagstaff inside a miniature mall, the counter service restaurant has a variety of options for eggs and other breakfast foods. Not only do you get to choose what kind of egg dish you want (scramble, omelette, burrito, etc) but you get to pick 2 sides - sausage links, hash brown, breakfast potatoes, bacon, and more! All for around $9-10 for one of their speciality egg dishes. Definitely a steal!! Plus a cup of coffee and tax all together ended up for $14. I ordered the southwest scramble, which had chorizo, smoked ham, green Chile's, peppers, and more! It had a kick to it which made it even better with the roasted corn salsa. Coming from Boston to here, definitely a good first breakfast/brunch meal to begin our stay out here in Arizona. Definitely will come back for breakfast if we get the chance! read more

What a wonderful find passing through Flagstaff on our way home from the Grand Canyon. Creative menu plus you can design your own breakfast if you want. I typically like my Pancakes the traditional way, but decided to try the banana rum pancakes. Wow probably the best I have ever had. This place is inside an old building so it was a little hard to find after we parked, but once inside it was great. You order at a counter and seat yourself. It's very open and not at all fancy. Just very good breakfast with fresh ingredients. They also had their own fancy butter. I had raspberry butter with my English muffin. My wife had biscuits and gravy which she loved. Large portions which were hard to finish. The bacon was a little too crispy for my liking but I'm still giving this 5 stars. If I lived near by I would be a lot heavier! read more

Literally the best breakfast I've ever had. My wife and I were passing through on a cross-country road trip and stopped here based on the reviews. We split the Rainbow Veggie scramble with english muffin, breakfast potatoes, and added a side of french toast. We also got pesto butter and raspberry butter for the english muffin. I've never had such a perfectly balance scramble with such great flavor. Eggs were cooked perfectly and packed with veggies. Avocado was a nice touch too. The french toast was incredible, baked in a dish in bite-sized chunks almost like bread pudding. The fancy butters were amazing too. We also got a Tropic Smoothy which was also awesome. During my stay in Flagstaff I stayed here twice for breakfast. I was actually quite surprised to find a place like this in Flagstaff and I was impressed by wide variety of breakfast choices. MIX has a creative menu, where anything is possible. You can choose from the different plates (pancakes in all forms, eggs, veggie etc.) or just mix something up yourself. Beware of the calories! There's room enough to sit inside, but the tables outside are the best place to sit when the weather is good. One of the most disappointing meals I've ever eaten. I ordered the "seared steak" Caesar salad. The dressing on the salad was fine but the positives stop there. This establishment has the audacity to charge $2 in order to add "seared steak" to your salad. I received what might amount to 2 tablespoons of ground beef on top of my salad. A couple other grievances: -Ordered a soup with my salad and never received it (although I was not charged) -Uncomfortable atmosphere: a bunch of high school kids were hanging around the plaza causing a scene.
