I stumbled upon Susan Perrone by sheer luck - only I didn't know it at the time. A colleague had…read morerecommended her and since I was clueless about anything-wedding I decided it would be good choice. My dress had arrived late (I ordered from a different place) - 6 weeks before my wedding but Susan was able to fit me in her schedule and get started on alterations right away. My dress was strapless but I felt the need to have my shoulders covered in church and she was able to add sleeves made from tulle that were removable! These straps made my dress feel complete, and I was so happy to have something unique about my dress. My bustle was GORGEOUS she had included I believe 7 bustle buttons - and my very layered Cinderella-like dress stayed up in the bustle the ENTIRE night! (Ever been to a wedding where the bride holds her dress because the bustle fell?) My mother's dress arrived 3 weeks before the wedding (again, from a different shop) and Susan made sure she was able to fit my mom in as well. Turned out that the dress the other shop had ordered was way too small for my mom - and 5 days before the wedding my mom decided to can it. Mom couldn't even sit in the dress!! Luckily - Susan had a dress available in her shop that fit my mother perfectly!! She was able to make some small adjustments that night and 3 days before my wedding my mother FINALLY had a dress! I honestly do not know what we would have done if we hadn't gone to Susan for alterations. She is clearly knowledgeable about gown alterations - and creative! She was able to quickly find a solution to a huge problem for us. I am so grateful for this and I have been back to her shop many times since. I've had 2 other dresses for other weddings altered since and Susan hasn't let me down! I also love her shop, it's very cute and unique and she has a lot of great wedding purses and jewelry to shop for!

It was impossible to find and while there were very similar dresses out there they all missed the mark on 1 or 2 key design elements. Susan and I scoured the internet, we watched clips of the film to see how the dress moved. Looked at dozens of pictures to make sure we were getting the subtle details right. Not only did she do her research she found the dress she would use as the foundation and the material to make my dress at TJ Maxx and saved me hundreds of dollars. Susan absolutely nailed it. The Closter Plaza is one of the biggest and nicest one within Bergen county. It has so many…read moredifferent types of shops that includes apparel, food, grocery, gym, liquor, movie theater, bakery, and so much more. Every week I visit the plaza for either Chipotle, Starbucks, Whole Foods or Target. The plaza is also home to Chase, Bank of America and PNC Bank. The plaza is very well maintained. I have always seen it clean. Police and security personnel always patrol the area for visitors safety.

Second floor mostly has women's apparels and a huge backstage section for items on big discounts. Third floor kid's apparels, toys and home products. I found the store well lit, clean and organized. Found few tops for my daughter in the backstage kid's section of backstage. Prices were excellent, under $20 for each. We also found couple of pairs of shoes in the women's clearance section. Both pairs had over 65% discount as they were on final sale. The staff members were friendly throughout the store. They assisted with finding the size of the shoes, did quick checkout and packed all items in paper bags. Overall it had a really nice shopping experience at this store.

Except, with the predicted Saturday-into-Sunday snowstorm, we were on the clock. Forget about the Macy's in Yorktown Hgts- that place is downright depressing with no furniture dept. This Macy's, on the farthest side of the Palisades Mall is a breath of fresh air. To add, there's a huge furniture dept on the 3rd floor. We were happy. Whether you need a new statement sofa, sectional, dining table, bed frame or something small to finish your room, this location has all the pieces. Every floor in Macy's was swarming with people and clothing racks were neat AND filled. Our guy Andrew was exceptional. He didn't nag and didn't stalk us. He went above and beyond and exuded great, old-fashioned customer service from helpfulness to language to knowledge- the dude was just high-level. The atmosphere is relaxed, he took care of pricing and we left with a smile.
