I went here the other night for a friend's birthday party and ordered two drinks. I charged them on my credit card and left a cash tip on the counter. When I checked my bank account the next day, I discovered that the bar staff decided to tip themselves an extra $5 on top of the price of the two drinks. I worked as a bartender before and know to always tip in cash since it's better for the staff. Therefore, I do NOT tip on my credit card, EVER. This is dishonest and more importantly CRIMINAL behaviour by the bar staff at Mixx 360. I will be in contact with my credit card company ASAP. read more

If you don't mind dancing next to 65 years old people, drunk? Then this place is for you! I'm very honest about my reviews and I don't like people that writes bad reviews based on one experience. So that being said, rain nightclub in Malden is probably the worst place to go in mass any day of the week. Saturday nights, Billy costa shows up and goes to the mic for some bs, the dj plays 50 songs in 8 minutes, horrible drinks, the entire place is just bad. The people that goes to this place are people that can't get in anywhere else, don't have a car to go somewhere else, are really drunk to make decisions, or are 65 and just don't care about life so if you fit in any of those categories go to rain :) read more

Well I'm new the the area and due to the weather, I wanted to stay local. Oh Boy!! I arrived early about 10pm and for the first hour or so it was actually pretty cool. People dancing and plenty of room in the dance floor and very easy to get a drink, cover was only $5 and parking was easy to find. However about 11:30 the bar part was still cool, but the dance floor became unbearable. Ladys, how do you deal with this? There was so many meat heads and really desperate guys not really dancing but just trying to stance as close as they could to any female on the dance floor that it kind of lost it's purpose. What a disappointment. Used to come here all the time for country stuff, and it used to be great. Now that they've renovated everything, it's such a waste. They put tables and chairs all over the dance floor, don't do country but once in a blue moon, and the dj mixes and messes up the music. If you're looking for a place to dance and have a great time, DONT come here. You have a better time at some local dive bar. read more

I absolutely love what they did with the place. When I turned 21 a couple years ago, me and my friends wouldnt think twice about going to RAIN. But when they 1st opened we said what the heck let's try it out. It's very nice inside and very big. The tap beer is AWESOME! They have like this special frozen tap and the beer is always ice cold. My favorite night to go is on Sundays. It's laid back and a cool environment to go and hangout and have a drink. They have music playing and you can play darts if you want. On weekends they usually have bands/concerts but Sundays is cool because they are open until 2am and it isnt jam packed and loud. The prices are reasonable as well. They did a good job with the new place I must say. read more

call me crazy, but i had a FANTASTIC night at rain. i'm also a firm believer that a great time can be had at any place where the drinks are strong and the music and company are good, and rain certainly had all of those things for me when i went last friday for a belated 24th birthday celebration that started off with glow in the dark bowling next door (convenience: check!). i didn't feel like going into the city and felt like this would be a nice compromise - and, if nothing else, provide some amazing people/guido-watching. my friends and i were slightly scared when we walked in a bit after 10 (no cover: bonus!) and saw no dance floor of any sort, but we grabbed a cushy booth - prime real estate at any club downtown- the cocktail waitress assured us that a private party was just ending and the dividing wall (!) would be removed soon. 5 minutes later, we witnessed the unveiling of said dance floor and dj booth- both much cooler looking than i anticipated- in fact, the whole place was. after 2 HUGE whiskey sours (seriously, for $7.50 you really get your money's worth), i was just about ready to dance, and suddenly, go-go dancers appeared on some boxes overlooking the dance floor! was i in heaven? europe? i had no clue, but my friends & i loved it and were transfixed. then the dj answered my dancing prayers by playing jay sean's "down", which obviously translated to "get your booty on the dance floor". that we did. and we danced until just about 1:30am to the best top 40 and hip-hop everrrr....i'm talking ke$ha, black eyed peas and taio cruz mixed with random sean paul and dmx. there were people from all walks of life: couples dry humping, creepers lurking (only one interacting, though...score!), and girls like us just having a good time. for all the trash that people talk about rain, i dug it. read more

Came in on a random Friday night. Rain is located inside a bowling alley and at face value it seems like a good setup for a bar and a dance floor. They had live music, which was unfortunately some type of disco, and when they went off stage it would switch to top 40/pop. Quite an interesting mix of music as was the crowd. The crowd ranged from 21 - 60. The drinks were good and so were the prices. If I was planning a night out on the town I'm not sure I would go here again. read more

Sometimes there is a cover usually like $10.00, (I hate cover charges!!!) but most of the time it's no cover before 10pm, like most places. I always go back n have a great time. The food & hospitality here is GREAT! It's a pleasant & friendly atmosphere. Me & my friends go here every other weekend for the food & sometimes we'll even go dancing in the club in the back of the restaurant. The bowling next door also is great for children of all ages & you can also have food served in the bowling alley side. Overall, going with family or friends I highly recommend this place!! read more

Good crowd, lively, liked the establishment but paid for an amateur Dj to experiment on the crowd tonight. Dancing stopped at every song transition. Silence. Played three songs multiple times. I don't want to go to work work work ever again. Especially not on a Saturday. Dj dijoiux, where is the jioux? Dj took selifies while transitions flopped. This was our first dabble at Mixx. Good place if you dont want to go into Boston and deal with all the hassle. The bartender was AWESOME! drinks were high ( 10 bucks) but really strong and the bartender was really attentive and we never had to fight for her attention. a little bummed at the cover, i thought most clubs let you in for free before ten. dancing was fun, we had to snicker at the girls dancing in uggs and booty shorts on the little stages. the guys? some wierdos, but you get that anyplace. bathrooms were ok.plenty of security. had fun, didnt have to fight to sit down or get drinks and free easy parking. dj kept cutting the songs in the middle and mixing the choruses which was kinda dumb. but i had fun! read more

Mixx 360 is the best bar and club north of the city. The staff and bartenders are the best around. They are always attentive and you never have to wait for a drink. Mixx always has the best DJs and live entertainment. The new renovations separate the sports bar from the club giving people multiple options for whatever kind of night they want to have. read more

I like this place because it gives a night club experience without having to travel into Boston. Theres plenty of parking, the place is huge, and they usually have a DJ on Friday nights. The drinks are a little expensive but they're pretty strong so it makes up for the price. My only complaint is that the bald "bouncer" is extremely rude. One night i had gone outside to walk my friend out, and when I tried to go back inside after she left, the guy would not let me back in. He said the law was that nobody can re-enter a bar in Malden after 1 a.m. and it was 1:05. Fine, I explained that ALL OF my belongings were inside (keys, phone, jacket, ect) so I would grab them and leave. He told me to "call a friend" & shut the door in my face. It's ridiculous because I had just explained how I didnt have my phone on me, and he didn't care that he was leaving a girl alone outside after 1 a.m. That's unacceptable IMO. But, besides him the rest of the staff is really friendly. read more

I'd like to review a little known secret about Rain Night Club, the catering/functions. I've had 3 functions there, and they have gone without a hitch, thanks to Ray! Food was wonderful, reasonably priced and plentiful, and Ray takes all the stress out of arranging a function. My family has had First Communion celebrations, a bridal shower and after funeral luncheons. All have been perfect. read more

I have to agree with Laura about that guy RAY. We went on a recent sat and ordered a drink way to expensive for a bar connected to a bowling alley. Anyway got the drink and went to the back smoking room that is enclosed like a box but they do have fans on the wall to circulate the air but they weren't on. So i asked that guy RAY if he could turn them on his response. Do you pay our F---KN electric bill if u don't like it leave or quit smoking. I was shocked so i asked to speak to the manager. He said he was the manager then i asked to speak to the owner ANTHONY he said he wasn't there. About 10mins later RAY approached us and said we had to leave because a girl complained to him that my friend touched her while on the dance floor. WE DIDN'T EVEN DANCE BECAUSE THE MUSIC WAS SO BAD. They just made it up to have an excuse to throw us out. But from what i heard that's what they do there. Make things up to get rid of you. If you go stay away from RAY and anyone that works there. They might act friendly at first next thing there doing is swearing at you and throwing you out. But Laura is right plenty of free parking if you want to leave your car till 145am to go some place else. read more
