I love hibachi and Miyabi Jr Japanese Express comes in clutch when you have hibachi cravings. I've been a couple times and each time I've been pleasantly surprised. I've had both the Hibachi and Teriyaki chicken dinners. My nephew got the Teriyaki chicken bowl. The difference from the bowl and the dinner is veggies. The dinner also seems like a little bit bigger portion of protein. I was able to share my dinner plate with my sister this visit and the other times I had enough to save for later. So portion size is great. I prefer the Hibachi chicken over the Teriyaki chicken. The teriyaki is too sweet and sticky for me. The rice and veggies are perfectly seasoned and taste well with the yum yum sauce. I want to like the ginger sauce but I don't. It's too pungent for me and I like ginger. My family and I visited for the first time and got our food to go. I had hibachi chicken, teriyaki chicken, rice and veggies. I thought it was okay. The hibachi chicken was a bit dry and didn't have much flavor to it. The vegetables were a bit bland and undercooked. I did however like the flavor of the teriyaki chicken. My partner had teriyaki chicken and noodles. She didn't really enjoy her meal at all, and I wasn't too fond of it myself. Our little one had a jr shrimp bowl. Unfortunately, she didn't like it much either. I've had better and I've also had worse. I think I found it more tolerable than my family did. Slightly over cooked since it was a little tough and semi dried out.. But the noodle were a little too saucy and salty for my liking. I prefer more plain noodles. So I'll change that fill next time. The dining room was clean when I entered and there was a nice flow of customers. I placed my order and was happy to hear that they understood what gluten free meant and they accommodated me by using gluten free soy sauce. The bag was a very nice weight when I received. The food I order was filet mignon and shrimp plate, which was $19.99 and a teriyaki chicken bowl, which was $14. Just wanted to update that we are absolutely still loving Miyabi Jr and glad that they are close by! We have not been inside to eat since our first time due to the pandemic, but they have been great through it all with takeout and opening back up. Our go to order - which all of it is so flavorful: Hibachi Steak Hibachi Chicken Teriyaki Chicken We ask for zucchini, onions, and mushrooms with each meat order because the vegetables are just amazing!! We love this place. We are next door weekly for a children's cooking class and almost always make it our dinner that night. We normally filet and teriyaki chicken and it's delicious every single time. Portions are sized well and usually my husband, myself, and three kids split two full meals at 40 bucks pre-tip. Which if we went to fast food it would almost cost the same and not be nearly as nutritious or good. If we want leftovers, we will get an extra. It's usually really quick to get to go food from too. Yummy! So glad I decided to try this place. It did not disappoint. The food is made quickly and the portion size is great. I've been here twice now and haven't had a bad experience. The first time I went in to order, the first thing i noticed is how clean, spacious and organized the place was. I also appreciated the automatic hand sanitizer setups in multiple places. Very impressed with my experience here. I ordered the hibachi shrimp plate which comes with rice, broccoli zucchini and onions. The clerk ask me if that was ok and let me know I coil swap out if I like so I chose to sub the zucchini with mushrooms. Plate ran me $13 but it was so much food and it comes with two shrimp sauces and one ginger sauce. It was so hot that when I got home (15 min drive) my food was still warm enough for me to just eat. I'm not a big shrimp sauce girl but the fact that they willingly give you two without asking shocked me. Most places are so stingy when it comes to this. My second visit I decided to do a call in order. The ETA giving to me was 10-15 mins. When I pulled into the parking lot I got a text saying my order was ready. Wow! The text alone was enough for me because I hate when you order food to pickup and they have it done way before the ETA provided and it's just sitting there and your just sitting in the car waiting thinking it's not ready...annoying! I stopped in here last night to pick up a quick bite for the family. Overall, the food looked good and reasonably priced, and the store was clean. I walked to the counter and saw a young man with his back to me and the other customer waiting for service. The employee turned and saw the two of us and the mumbled to his coworkers "why does this always happen when I'm ready for a break". I was pretty shocked that this kid didnt have better manners than to openly express his disdain for helping the customers of the restaurant, right in front of us! I let the other customer go first because it was my first time at the restaurant and I was taking time to review the menu. I figured out what I wanted and waited for the kid to turn around again. When he did, he glared at me and rudely asked "ARE YOU READY NOW?". I was pretty stunned at this kid's audacity, and instead of causing a scene, I just turned around and walked out. Its great to give the local HS kids opportunity, but they need to be mature enough to practice manners and present some trace of professionalism. I won't patron any restaurant where I am treated poorly, and until management fixes this problem, I am happy to take my business down the street. read more

This is a great addition to our area. It's basically a fast casual hibachi place. There's plenty of space and it's clean. The menu is easy to read. I love the water feature in the dining area. The menu has a few appetizers like spring rolls and fried dumplings. There's also salad and miso soup. Then there's a variety of hibachi teriyaki and yakisoba dishes. The meals come with rice and veggies. The bowls are just rice and protein. We both got the teriyaki chicken. And I opted for some fried dumplings. After you order they give you a number and bring it to your table. There's also a sauce station where you can grab teriyaki sauce, white sauce, ginger sauce and hot sauce. The dumplings were okay to me. Good flavor and a light fry. The teriyaki chicken is very tasty. The sauce is sweet and salty and there is a lot of it. Almost too much for me. But the chicken was tender which is hard to do. The veggies were cooked through. I hate it when I get hibachi and it's like I'm eating raw onion. The texture on the rice was perfect and it had a little bit of seasoning. The portion sizes are huge. We took home leftovers. Service was great. We were greeted as we walked in. Ordering was fast. The place is very well organized and has a high level of cleanliness. The glass tank with bubbles is a great touch to aesthetic. The self-serve sauce station is also more than convenient and saves the hassle of getting up and asking for more from the register attendant. It does seem though that the layout can feel crammed at times but only when the place is busy. One of the managers there (not sure which one, never caught his name) is the pinnacle of what an employee should be. Not only him, but all of the employees are extremely helpful and efficient. As much as I want to give this place 5 stars for their food, the young lady that was at the counter makes that impossible. I was in around 4:30 to place an order. I walk in and approach the counter. She's off to the side having conversation with staff, as no one is in there. The cook was courteous enough to speak. When the lady finally got to the register, she didn't greet me or anything. While waiting for my food, I got her attention to let her know I only needed soy sauce. She had an irritated look on her face then. Once I got my food, I thanked her and once again, she said nothing. She had been chatting with her staff the entire time. She was also aloof with the customer who came in after me. On a brighter note, my food was amazing, but if I have to deal with that level of customer service, I will find food elsewhere. read more
