Meeting Candy for my consultation put me at complete ease. She was so knowledgeable and really paid attention to what I wanted and what was important to me. I wanted something classy but not cliche. I told her my colors, that I loved calla lilies, and that the theme was classic vintage. I was a little anxious not seeing my flowers until the day of the wedding, but Candy understood my vision perfectly and they were EXACTLY what I wanted. She also put together a matching bouquet for my 5 year old daughter with the same flowers, just different colors (mine were red, hers were white). However, when utilized as a way to help others to discover goods and services that could have quite easily gone unnoticed or to reward those who deserve praise, Yelp- more often that not- inspires me. Today, because it was through Yelp that I was originally able to realize that Cattails was a shop capable of exceeding expectations, I have been motivated to inform others that such an amazing little flower shop indeed does exist. A friend of mine who is planning her wedding and suddenly found herself the foremost expert on floral shops in Chicago first told me of Cattails' actuality. Naturally, I turned to Yelp to confirm her suggestion that Cattails was the florist for me. What I found was exactly what I had hoped to find, sparkling reviews regarding both customer service and the overall quality of the product that they put out. This review is far, far from contradictory. As a man I have come to understand two things: 1. Flowers on Valentine's Day are an integral component to ensuring peace and tranquility between you and your girlfriend/spouse/whatever. 2. I know absolutely nothing about flowers. I know that they look pretty/ smell great and that their power over the opposite sex is something that even modern science is incapable of understanding, but beyond that my knowledge of flora is ultimately lackluster. I know not the names of all flowers or when to find that certain varieties are in season. Fortunately, understanding #2 was not a problem with Cattails. My order was as simple as giving them a call, setting a ballpark price that I felt comfortable with, suggesting that there be a presence of "yellowness" in the arrangement, but otherwise agreeing to give them full creativity over the assortment, and communicating my credit card information (a process which took no more than five minutes). When I heard the excited tone on the other end of the line, I knew I had made the right choice. Ultimately, the bouquet that had arrived at my doorstep was far more beautiful than I could have ever tried to construct myself. Thank you Cattails. You have not only made this Valentine's Day one to remember, you have made me look like a guy who "gets it" and one who will certainly be a returning customer.

They just opened their store front, and the staffed shared that you can both order arrangements and they have a build-your-own-bouquet station. This shop is big and beautiful right by the bridge, and has such a cool concept for the perfect girls day out or date day in Long Grove. I highly recommend adding this to your stops! When we called and spoke with Ari (Sylvia's husband), we ultimately decided to have Sylvia upgrade the bouquet using her own creativity based upon the color pallet we knew our friend would like. Sylvia took it from there and created a bouquet that left our friend speechless when Ari delivered it. As a client, working with them was a tremendous experience, and one that I highly recommend. The people at Jadwiga's had decent pricing and their representatives sweet talked her into getting their flowers. They promised her good flowers and told her not to worry. On the morning of our wedding day she went to pick them up and what they gave her was a catastrophe. It looked like the flowers were watered with venom. They were complete shit. I buy my wife flowers from the supermarket and they tend to last about a week. These looked about a week and a half old. The bouquet Jadwiga's gave us were valueless. They were old and dead. I'm convinced that Jadwiga herself pulled them out of her ass that morning. Don't waste your time and money here.
