I explained that I was getting married in two days time and wanted wildflowers, not formal flower arrangements, at my rustic-themed wedding. I was ready to buy whatever she had, but Jodie very kindly suggested that if I could drive to her farm the next day, she could provide me with however many bundles I needed, fresh. My maid of honor very quickly volunteered to pick them up. The next day, Jodie was ready with sixteen bundles of flowers, all prepared and wrapped with small bags of water. I hate to admit that we cleaned her out! She went above and beyond to find a great mix of flowers that went well with our color scheme. They were stunning, and exactly what we wanted! If you have the opportunity to meet Jodie at either the farmer's market or her farm, I strongly recommend that you do, as she is very willing to help, and has a beautiful selection of flowers.

It was important to me to get flowers that didn't have a huge environmental impact, so finding Cornelia McNamara and her Chicago flower farm was a dream come true! I loved that all the flowers were grown locally and didn't have the huge environmental footprint of flowers that are flown in from warmer climates. Because this is a local business, the process for ordering was less formulaic than it is at other florists. Instead of filling out an online form and picking from a few arrangement options, I emailed and talked with Cornelia directly, shared my inspiration pictures, and trusted her team of professionals to do an amazing job (which they absolutely did!). Thoughtful details like having the boutonnieres use magnetic fasteners and having the corsages on beautiful diamantine bracelets that were easy to take on and off made everything seamless. Even when I made a last minute addition of ten centerpieces two weeks before the wedding, the team was super accommodating and everything turned out beautifully!
