Tonight was our first time to try MJ Pizzeria. Our group of five was sat in less than ten minutes, considering a Friday night, I was stoked. The server came around and was friendly. We ordered meatballs and fancy bread appetizers. Both of those were good, but it took about as long to get the appetizers as it would take to get entrees somewhere else. We finished the appetizers and began the wait. The never ending wait. We were there and we waited. Nearly an hour we waited to get the pizza. Wood fire does take longer and we knew this, but this was beyond. Ambiance is kinda off for me because there isnt any music muffling the background conversation. It was kinda loud with voices like a party or indoor sports. While there I saw someone get a carry out pizza and it was $26 and I would consider getting the same thing I ordered tonight, but carry out. The cost is expensive, especially for a group around 20-25 a person. Our party has water except for me having a single beer and the cost for our group of five was around $120. Although the appetizers and pizza were very good, and the toppings were really high quality, for me, especially with kids that would prefer dominoes, it is not worth the wait or the expense. read more

Found this place on accident driving around town. Stopped in for lunch and it was pretty darned good! Had the side salad to start and it was a good sized portion. My son and partner split the build your own 16" with pepperoni. I had the 8" margherita and it was really tasty! Crust was cooked to perfection and it had just the right amount of sauce. Based on reviews, I was worried about a long wait or slow service, but didn't experience either of those! I was immediately seated, and the service was very attentive. Visited last Friday night with my kids. Pizza was great, and service good too. An overall great meal was soured when paying the bill and discovered they add a fee when paying by card. Was not disclosed when ordering or in the menu. Paid the bill, and will just choose elsewhere next time we go out for pizza. In 2023, credit card processing is simply in cost of doing business. This should just be accounted for in the restaurant's prices. Even paying by cash still incurs a cost for the business owner in paying employees to reconcile deposits, make bank deposits, plus the risk of theft by employees or burglaries. The menu price should be the price with no hidden surprises for the customer. read more

This is a great pizza place hands down top 5 pizza joints around. They serve up sum mean pizzas, all fresh ingredients it just makes a difference. Food was not bad but I sat and waited while I watched them bring out mobile orders for an hour and a half before I got one small pizza out. The margarita pizza is the best pizza choice by far, but you must get the artichoke dip. I absolutely love the Harvest salad. My favorite salad in NWA. I've also had the shrimp linguine with a corn based sauce, it's a must try! Delicious. I love that I can bring my toddlers too. They offer a kid's grilled chicken pasta and the chicken is already cut into toddler size bits. How amazing is that! My girls shovel it down! Kept hearing great things about this pizza place so finally made a point to go. First off I wasn't crazy about sitting at a high top table. There was a whole section of low tops and booths but appears they were not seating anyone there. Our only other options was the bar (no thanks) or outside patio (heat index is 105-are you I kidding?) We were seated right by the front door. Boo. We got the meatballs, because hello I love meatballs. These however fell short. They were nearly crispy charred on one side which kinda ruined them for me. The Caesar salad was good-very big but tasty. More oil based. The saving grace was the pizza. We got the loaded meat. A small (4 pieces). Very tasty and I love the wood fired crispness to the crust. Not overbearing, just enough because I hate flimsy pizza you cannot pick up and eat. It was very cheesy too-stringy cheesy. I decided I had to have dessert especially after reading it was house churned ice cream. A coop of vanilla, chocolate and caramel topped with cookies with some fresh berries. I had to wait on it forever. Even after the waiter apologized because they got "busy", it still took forever after that. I asked my husband if he thought they had to go out back to "churn" it? I expected a more homemade ice cream flavor but it tasted like any other ice cream from a tub you buy at a grocery store. Fine, I love ice cream but disappointed.
