She would only apply pressure in some areas and after asking for so many accommodations I became annoyed and decided to not ask for any more adjustment since there was no improvement. Then it comes time to pay, where as you see all over the reviews is the heavy pressure the tipping is REQUIRED. Makes me ask ? As they like to argue they work hard. Yes so do we to earn our money to pay for a massage not done well. If we are paying the owner for a service SHE should be paying her employees. Not charge an extra mandatory fee to compensate her employees. Last time coming here. In other occasions where I've had my massage done by Apple I've tipped $10+ since she is not rude and amazing. The owner got very agitated when I told my complaint and got even more upset when I told her we would only tip $5 per person max. I've Spent too much money to be disappointed this many times. And yes I did arrive 5 min late, either way you had another appointment scheduled at 9 and you still had to rush my massage and give me a poor service just to get extra money in between clients when you know hours ahead of time that I booked an hour massage. All this was great but about a week later another seven dollars came out on my credit card and I have no idea why. There was no receipt with the $99 Massage that I bought so I don't have a breakdown of charges to figure out what they're doing. But nothing is good about seeing a charger a week after you were in a business. I still plan on returning here. They ensure that they ask questions to make sure that it was either enough pressure or too much, etc.. They were very friendly and I did enjoy the experience. The only thing I could say that I wasn't necessarily too fond of was when it came to pay I paid the total and I gave a tip ... I was told by the owner or manager, I'm not sure what her role specifically was basically told me I did not tip enough and I should tip more because there is a minimum standard. That's the only thing I would say I wasn't too fond of because in the world of tips a tip is not supposed to be delegated by the establishment.. so I felt peer pressure into giving more tip... but she should not do that because you don't know the background of people you don't know how much money people do or do not have so. I first contacted "The Massage Dude" on 8/12 through yelp to request an appointment and inform him of my issues. He gave me some information and I set the appointment up for this week, 8/19 at 4pm. We went back and forth about his availability. And I understood he was very busy because he has GREAT reviews so duh, why wouldn't he be booked up. Fast forward to a day or two after I scheduled the appointment. He sends me a text messages stating that he has to push my appointment back to "7-8". I informed him I could not do it that late and asked if he had any other availability. I got no response. A day later I texted him and asked the same question. He apologized for the delay and said he was moving things around to fit me in. Fine, I let him be for the weekend. Hoping to hear back so I can plan my week around this massage that I seriously need! And unfortunately still nothing. So, I reached out to him one last time, via text, to inquire about his availability. I can see that he has read my text. But has still failed to respond. At the very least, it would have been nice to get some type of response letting me know he was not able to fit me in. Not just straight up ignoring me. Now, for me and whomever else still cares about customer service, you have lost a potential client. We are all busy. But as a business owner, it is your responsibility to communicate effectively. I have no idea what was happening. Rubbed my left leg for 5 minutes and touches my right calf with two taps. And chased me out the door asking if I had paid already when I paid before my massage. It was so bad and I was in more pain than when I came in, I went directly to another massage place to get fixed.
