Just bought my car from MJM and it was a great experience! I was in the market for a specific car, and low and behold the first day I started looking I saw this. It was the exact exterior/interior color I wanted and had super low miles. When I test drove it, there was a problem with the power steering, which I told them about. They gave me a really good deal on it, and before even signing papers, they brought it to their mechanic to have it checked out since they didn't want me buying a car that we all know had a mechanical problem with it. The mechanic said it was the power steering pump and gave us a repair quote which was half the price of anywhere else around, who I personally called to check. The very next day, the car was brought back to the dealership and I test drove it again to make sure it was fixed, and took the car off the lot the same day. Robin, who I purchased the car with, also helped drive me back to my office since I had my other car with me! Definitely would recommend you talk to Robin or anyone from this small dealership if you're looking for a new used car. read more

PLEASE do not buy from this dealership. 1. sold me a vehicle from Canada, was not upfront about this at all. 2. vehicle threw 2 codes about an hour after purchasing the vehicle. They cleared the codes knowing it had a problem, did not share this information and I would only ever find out after putting some miles on it at speed and temperature. EXTREMELY DISHONEST. 3. vehicle will not pass DEQ and not able to be registered. 4. I admit, they gave me a few hundred dollars in money for sensors that could potentially fix the codes, but I had to install them myself. 5. when I reported to them that the repair to pass inspection included replaced the CAT system at $1000 they said they were not interested in contributing to the repair bill. I didn't ask for them to fix the car outright, but I wanted them to acknowledge that they were dishonest and cover part of the cost. They did not. EXTREMELY SHADY business dealings. 100% dishonest. The worst experience I have ever encountered. Went to go look at a dodge ram 1500, I called ahead of time and talked to Larry. Told me the truck is very beautiful, immaculate condition, and has no problems what so ever. I get down there and Larry came out with a jump box to start the truck. It had a oil leak, a/c discharge line busted, huge draw in the system, alternator didnt work, CEL was on, and had tear and stains all over the interior. As soon as I told larry the issues and and that I'm a mechanic he said, "oh okay" and walked back inside with nothing to say. The biggest joke of a dealership. I would never recommend this shady, incompetent, sad excuse of a dealership to anyone ever. Not sure how they are even in buisness.. read more

I found this place through cargurus.com. Roland is nice to work with, I found a really good deal on Acura MDX 2005. I like the car, though it needs to be worked on (around 200$ for light and spark plug). He is very enthusiastic, he had his mechanic fixed the passenger window (it didn't work when I first checked it), he also orders new button on the steering wheel for me. Roland is not pushy, he is straightforward and easy to deal with. When you call the place, he is not always there, there are other two salepeople working here, a gal and a guy named Tim, Tim is more responsive in email (even midnight lol) while Roland is quite a busy guy (he goes everywhere to buy and sell car). So should I recommend this place? Yes, if you like easygoing people and not being pushy. About the price, anywhere has good price, you stick with it. Sometimes, they have really good price (cuz too many cars so they want to sell some to get more space). Mostly, price here is ok deal (7/10). Every different dealer has different deal. The service is pretty good, and Roland is easy to bargain with. read more

I purchased a vehicle from these guys a few months back and it was the worst car buying experience I've ever had. I live 3.5 hours from the dealership so we were talking numbers over the phone and email. I asked how the car had been maintained and they said everything worked well and it had no issues and that the previous owner had taken really good care of it. So I sign papers and make the trip to bring it home. I noticed it was probably going to need brakes so I immediately took it in to get them fixed and the mechanic said I had bigger safety issues which was about $6000 in serious repairs which was out of my budget since I was already paying more than I had planned. I contacted the dealership and explained the situation and let them know this was going to be our main family car for our young son and our twins on the way. After much back and forth they ended up telling me that they couldn't make a profit if the helped make the situation right. I even asked if they would feel safe putting their kids in this car and they said no but were still ok with making money on it.. They literally chose money over their customer's safety. Buying a car through this lot has been quite literally one of the worst experiences of my life. If I could rate it them a negative star review I would. Larry was referred to me by a client of mine (whom he also screwed over but that's another story). To make a long story short, he seemed very nice and trustworthy - and I put complete faith in him that he didn't have intentions of taking advantage of me, a 22 year old girl, just trying to buy her first car on her own. To my dismay, that was not the case. As soon as I drove off the lot, I was presented with a new problem every time I drove it. The check engine light coming on, it failing to start almost every time I tried to drive it, etc. I tried calling Larry but he ignored my calls for weeks. When I finally got a hold of him, he said there was nothing he could do to help me besides recommending me to a mechanic, even though I've only had the car for 3 god damn months. Today, the car finally gave out and broke down in the middle of the road. I'm now $10,000 out, and will have to buy a new car. I hope it made him feel more like a man that he clearly is not, scamming a young girl just trying to do something for herself. Update: Larry had quite the reply to this - which actually had me feeling guilty. I had a mechanic come and look at the car a couple of days ago, while he was looking at it he said "how many miles did you say were on this car?" I told him 40,000. He let me know that, that in fact was not true at all and that the mileage had been turned down on the car. I have deep diagnostic paperwork to prove it. I'm not necessarily saying while it was under the care of this car lot, that's what happened - I'm just saying it happened. Please spare your self the time. read more

No, thank you. Ethically, it's better to not sell a person a car with mechanical problems than sell with problems and then offer 1) a warranty or 2) a discounted mechanic. You all were aware it needed catalytic converters and back suspension. No matter where one takes the car, dealership or not, those are pricey services. Not to mention the pricey tune-up that's required at 100k miles that was not done. I am partially to blame because I should've done my due diligence as a buyer such a purchasing a buyers inspection at Cadillac before I bought the car. That's my 6k mistake. But as a consumer I can tell others of my experience and lack of trust with MJM in hopes they can avoid being taken advantage of like I was. read more

I normally hate going to little side road car dealers because the salesman are pushy and suffocating... So on a whim I drove by and decided to stop and look after months of looking for a car. We browsed on our own for a few and weren't immediately jumped by the salesman which was refreshing. The salesmen were really helpful and nice, and weren't just interested in making a commission. Long story short, we walked out with my 05 Hyundai accent, a free car wash and they even helped get a really good deal at car toys on a security and stereo system. We bought a 2004 Saturn Vue from them. We drove it home you could definitely tell something did not sound right. We called the owner Roland, we took it back the next day and he had a mechanic fix the wheel baring, and he kept it about 3 days. He admitted to our daughter they don't drive or check out the cars. We have since taken it to a mechanic and the transmission is going, the suspension needs repair and the turn signals random work and then not. I have called several times and have not received a call back. I would not recommend this car lot to anyone. read more

Stay away if you do not like being treated with disrespect because you are a woman. Today I went to go car shopping with my boyfriend and male cousin. The salesman who I assume was the owner was alright at first. He did not say much to us and showed my boyfriend the car he was interested in. As my boyfriend and cousin were looking under the hood of the car I had decided to sit in the backseat because I was cold. Low and behold, the salesman walks back up to the car after checking some information and says verbatim to the people I am with, "A woman who knows her place, the back seat. She must be well trained since she went and sat in the back." He must not have realized that the car wasn't sound proof and that I could hear every word he said. Both my boyfriend and cousin looked at him with disbelief. There was no "I'm just kidding" or uneasy laughter to show in anyway he was kidding. The implication of what this man said most likely because he did not think I could hear him is disgusting. Not saying one word to this man, he decided that my place could never be in the front seat of his used car with a superior "man". Though I know he was probably "joking" it is still wrong to insult a potential buying customer within minutes of arriving to the people she is with. So ladies if you enjoy a place where the salesman openly says sexist things to potential buyers by all means go to this small, overpriced, and true to nature- slimy car dealership. read more

Went to MJM motors 3/7/16, I test drove a Dodge Durango they had and really liked it. I started to leave but came back and said I'd like to have my mechanic look at it. I took it in, came back told them the items that were wrong and asked what they could do. Rowland said they'd fix them and it would be going into the shop on Tue (3/8) I said that's great if we can get that work done I'll buy the rig. I completed the credit app and called on Monday. I was told Larry the sales guy I was working with was out but they were working on it. Tuesday I get a call from Larry saying bad news the Durango sold... WTF???? He said I do have a nice Explorer here. I said no thank you, you have lost a customer. Rowland or someone SHOULD have had the courtesy to call me and let me know they sold the rig. So not only did they lose my business but I have a friend who is looking and now won't go there either. I would have rated it 1 star but Larry the salesperson was nice and it wasn't his fault, that I know of. You only get one chance to make a first impression and well, they did a poor job. read more

First off shame on me. I sent an email regarding a particular car and did not receive a response. I checked craigslist for the next 4 days and saw that the car was still listed. And still no email response. So I called to get their hours and left a message to make sure the car was still available. I checked craigslist again and the car was still listed. So my husband and I hopped in the car and made the hour drive to go hopefully buy it. We arrived and they had sold it. The day before. I told them I was the one that had emailed and called and the gal looked at me and said she had called me and left a message within the last hour, then changed her story saying she thinks she might have called me but couldn't remember. When we got home there was no message and no recent calls on our caller ID. So yes, shame on me for not waiting to actually hear from someone but shame on them for not returning email inquiries, phone calls or pulling ads for sold vehicles. And shame on her for then lying to my face about returning my call.Two thumbs down for terrible customer service and honesty. read more
