I purchased a used 2018 Toyota Highlander from this dealership and within the first two weeks began experiencing multiple issues including warning lights, brake switch problems, "braking power low" warnings, and electrical/safety related concerns that at one point left the vehicle unable to start or move properly. When I contacted the dealership for assistance, I explained that I have children and that this was a major safety concern. I also explained that I could not safely get the vehicle there myself and could not afford a tow truck. Initially, I was told they would need to ask the owner about helping with a tow, but nobody ever followed up with me. When I called back, I was then told there was "no way" for them to get a tow arranged. Because of this, I was forced to manually bypass the warning/code issues myself just to get the vehicle drivable enough to make it from Mount Vernon to Lynnwood. During that drive, I had no functioning brake lights or turn signals, which made the situation even more dangerous. Despite explaining all of this, I felt my concerns were brushed off. When I finally arrived, I was told they "didn't HAVE to help" me, but that they would once the vehicle was there. At one point, after expressing frustration and mentioning possible legal action, I was also told that if I pursued that route they would not help me or fix the issue. Since purchasing the vehicle, I have also discovered that both the engine air filter and cabin air filter were extremely dirty and appeared to have been neglected for quite some time. These are basic maintenance items that should have been inspected or replaced prior to sale. I also later learned the vehicle originated from Canada, which explained why there was limited history available through Carfax. While I did notice scratches and dents at the time of purchase, I was disappointed to later realize there may have been additional history I was unable to fully verify beforehand because Canadian vehicle history does not always appear the same way on U.S. reports. To be fair, the dealership ultimately did fix the issue and paid for the repair. However, the way the situation was handled from the beginning -- especially considering the safety concerns involved -- left me with very little trust in this business moving forward. What makes this even more disappointing is that I traded in my nearly brand new Toyota with only around 25,000 miles on it because I trusted this dealership and expected the vehicle I purchased to be properly inspected and reliable. I would have never traded in my dependable, nearly new vehicle for something this unreliable had I known the condition this vehicle was actually in. I understand that once a used vehicle leaves the lot, responsibility largely falls on the buyer. However, customers still expect vehicles to receive thorough inspections and to be reasonably safe and reliable at the time of sale. If you don't do your own due diligence, this is trap A independent Pre-Purchase Inspection revealed: -Terminal Engine Damage: The supposedly bulletproof M113K engine at 82k miles has physical metal shavings in the engine oil--an indicator of internal engine failure that the dealership shrugged off as "not a big deal" when I presented it to them. -Massive Fault Codes: The car scanned with dozens of stored history codes. The inspection shop cleared them, meaning the next test-driver won't even see the warnings on the dash. -Unstable ABC Suspension: Active Body Control codes are present, which is easily a $10,000 overhaul to fix properly. -Hidden Bodywork: Despite a 'clean history' narrative, a paint meter confirmed the hood, left front door, and left rear quarter panel have all been repainted, alongside a 10-year gap of undocumented CARFAX history. -Active Mechanical Failures: The rear main seal is actively leaking fluid, the water pump shaft has excessive play and needs immediate replacement, and the hardtop roof fails after running for a short period. -Safety Hazards: It is sitting on 4 bald tires that need immediate replacement. They sell strictly 'As-Is' and clearly do not do extensive checks on their cars before listing them for retail. I am incredibly disappointed given the marketing on there vehicles. Do your homework and get an independent PPI before buying anything off this lot. I purchased a 2017 Land Rover Discovery TD6 from this dealership on December 31st and was repeatedly told the vehicle had been "completely gone through" before being sold. Within a week, the DPF warning light came on and I had to bring it back. The issue returned again shortly after. I eventually paid for an inspection at a Land Rover dealership and discovered multiple problems that should have been caught before the vehicle was sold. I also learned there is evidence of prior collision damage that was never disclosed. The passenger-side mirror assembly has clearly been replaced, and the replacement doesn't even match the vehicle's color. It's dark blue while the rest of the vehicle is black. To make matters worse, I later found out the vehicle was originally imported from Canada. While that doesn't automatically mean anything is wrong with the vehicle, it certainly raises questions when combined with the other issues I've experienced. What is most disappointing is that I trusted the dealership's repeated claims that the vehicle had been thoroughly inspected and was in great condition. Instead, I've spent months dealing with repairs, warning lights, and discovering problems that should have been identified before the sale. I previously owned a 240z when I was much younger. The car was very fast. The only problem I have found was the day after I purchased the car it rained and the car fish tailed I was able to correct. I don't think they knew, but i also don't think they try very hard to find out. Its a good policy anyway to get a PPI, but here you MUST get a PPI. UPDATE: 11 months after purchasing this vehicle, after being told that it was in great condition, there is a large amount of rust going through my exhaust system and suspension. DO NOT TRUST THEIR INSPECTIONS! Thanks for selling me a lemon. I'd give zero stars if I could. UPDATE: Nine months after purchasing this vehicle, the entire car is breaking down. Thanks a lot guys, everyone should avoid this place, or absolutely not trust the inspections they provide. I doubt they even looked at the car. The response below indicates that I got it checked by a third party, which I did not do, as I asked you all to give me a report from your mechanics (So dumb to trust you). The vibration issue wasn't fixed at all, I just decided to keep the car as is because I did not have the time or funds to Uber back and forth from your shop. I already made at least 5 trips to and from the shop, and the car should have been ready to go from the start. I was straight up lied to about the tire depth. Two of the tires needed changed pretty badly when I bought the car, and I (stupidly) trusted them when they said that there's about 80% left on them. I also had to bring the car back twice to get a couple of other issues fixed I found before purchasing. I trusted them to tell me the truth and give the car a complete look through and inspection, and now I'm riddled with worries if they lied about anything else. I'm really surprised they have such a good rating, as that's the main reason I went to quality auto. It honestly might be because I didn't buy a Porsche or BMW, and they just felt that I didn't deserve a real, honest inspection of my car before buying it. I've been looking for a very specific used car for about 6 months. A bunch of cars that looked good came up on various sites, but after seeing them in person they just weren't up to snuff. Then I came across the car I wanted that was located at Quality Auto -- all the way across the country in Washington state (I was in VA). I sent an email and Christian got back to me immediately. He sent a bunch of pictures, I asked him tons of questions, and then we quickly negotiated a fair price across text. I thought the price was a tad high, but honestly if the car is as clean as it looked and I was told, it was worth it. Then Christian calls and says there's an issue; they can't release the car until a blower motor wire recall is done by the local BMW dealer. All good. He takes it over to the dealer and they work on the recall. He calls me a couple of days later and says that the dealer has spotted some other issues wrong -- including a faulty central computer, and a bad alternator -- and that they are going to take care of it with the dealer at no cost to me. This is where another dealer would have just let it go and I would have figured it out later (at my own cost). They took care of it 100%. After the car got back from the repairs at the dealer, Christian had it detailed and polished. Then the shipper came and picked it up and it was at my door. Today I noticed what looked to a little oil leaking so I took it to my local Indy BMW mechanic. He calls me and says that the oil is just trickling out from the drain plug that is stripped, and it will be a couple of bucks to replace. Then he asks me where and when I got the car because "it has been so meticulously taken care of" he cannot find any issues at all. He tells me it is literally the cleanest 2006 he has ever seen come through his shop. So, a special thank you to QAC and to Christian for setting me up with such a great car. I am going to use it for many years to come and hope to one day be able to leave it to my son! The next time I'm in the market for a used car the first place I'll check out is the Quality Auto Center -- even if it is all the way on the other side of the country! read more

The sales guy that helped me out was great (thanks Sal!). I was pretty decided on what I wanted so skipped the whole "finding a car" process. Called in advance and when I got there it was pulled up out front for me to test drive. Sal was friendly and offered water and they had snacks which was great for my 8 year old (it would be cool if there was a TV or some kid legos or magazines or something but not a big deal, he had his tablet). Manager that helped out towards the end of the process was great as well, very helpful and kind. Waited a few days to give a review just to make sure everything went ok, and the car is indeed holding up just fine (2019 jeep compass). There is a small problem with the headlights that I'm sure wouldn't have been noticed by them (took me three days of driving to notice it myself) where they won't turn off and fog lights don't turn on, but for buying a used car that's to be expected. Reached out about the headlights today to see if there's anything they would be able to help with, while not obligated to help at all by any means, a different place I bought my last car from was able to help when I experienced tire problems 2 days after buying a car from them, so worth a shot. I'll update the review on how it goes with the headlight, but so far I'd highly recommend em! read more

Really terriable experience here. The saleperson tried to lure people to place huge amount of deposit on the vehicle before signing any contract. They only told you the circumstance that the deposit is refundable but totally avoid to mention when the deposit is non-refundable. If you place the deposit, then they will use all kind of excuses to get rid of returning the deposit back to you. Please be really careful to this place. read more

Watch out for deceptive sales practices. In a recent transaction I made it clear which bank (mine) I wanted to finance with and the bottom line is that although the dealership manager later admitted to me he knew they wouldn't be able to work with that bank, the salesman went ahead and listed that bank as lienholder on the title application after we completed the Purchase Order. The long and short of it is, they didn't follow the bank's very clear instructions as to what and how to submit to them, and even though the salesperson eventually apologized to me, the manager saw fit to keep my $1,000 down payment. The salesperson offered financing at twice the rate I was pre-approved for with one of their lenders and suggested I refinance. Pretty shady dealings, and in the end they could have returned my $1,000 and just sold the car to someone else. The excuse for that given was the several days they took the car off the market. But if they had just followed the bank's instructions, it would all have been have been done same day. I made it clear I would only deal with "bank X". So THEY caused the delay--not me--- and used that to keep my down payment. I'm still trying to collect it. Shameful. read more

Purchased a used vehicle on line and had it shipped in 22. the car was blowing blue smoke and excessive oil consumption right away. Quality said they would make it right and paid to have the spark plugs and two coils replaced. This didn't fix the problem. they stopped communicating at this point. I took the car to a mechanic of my choice and it needed a Whole top end re build. new pistons, valves, seals and cylinder's bored. 8,000$ later still having issues. don't be the next victim. read more

We bought a Honda Odyssey from QAC in 2016. I would love to give them 5 stars, but something went down that knocks a couple stars off. THE GOOD: The buying experience was awesome - no pressure, told us (almost) everything we needed to know, purchase process was great. John Zeisner was our sales guy and he was excellent in every sense. They are clear (as are most dealers) that their cars don't carry warranties. Says so right on the sticker on the car. So far, so good. Except that our car has an issue: there's a problem with the engine cylinder design that led to class action suits in both the US and Canada (this is a Canadian-made Honda). Honda responded by extending the warranty and covering the Very Expensive Repair. We were excited, since our car appeared to qualify for the repair (though we had to take the car for service to a dealer in BC). NOPE. Because here's the thing: THE BAD: QAC imports most of its vehicles from Canada, which on the surface is fine, and legal. The problem is that when you purchase a Canadian-made vehicle in the US, that immediately puts the vehicle on the 'gray market', and this means that neither Honda USA nor Honda Canada will give you warranty service. For most cars past their typical warranty, this would be fine. For ours, it's biting us in the butt. We're gonna have to either live with the issue ($500 of repair per year), or do the Very Expensive Repair on our own dime. So the moral of the story: go here if you want a great buying experience. Just know what you're getting, and be aware that if something goes wrong that should be covered by a warranty that you'd otherwise qualify for, you'll be up the creek. Great service, but buyer beware. read more

Not only did they say no, but told me "if you have already test drove previous Porsche's, that it drove the same, so there was no need to test drive the car." They stated that they would do business with me if I bought the car on the spot. Before that visit, I had just test drove a car at a similar value. I will NEVER do business with a dealership that would brush you off like that while allowing other customers to test drive any cars that they wanted. I originally went in to test drive a BMW x3 and fell in love with the car, however there were some mechanical issues. When working with John, he was not educated on the car or even the service done (by QAC) on the car prior to purchase. This made me nervous so I set up time to take the car to a trusted mechanic only 2 days prior (not to mention the car was hit by one of the detailers here, so they had to touch up the paint and the car was unsellable). I'm glad I called before leaving Seattle to go to Lynnwood to pick up the car to get a second opinion because I then found out the car was sold. Communication between John and I was terrible and you'd figure they would want to sell a car during a global pandemic when people aren't purchasing cars. Nope! John was non-chalant, not communicative, and overall made my car buying a bad experience. If you decide to go to QAC, speak with Christian and stay far from John. I bought a car 2 month ago that was posted online and shipped it all the way to Vegas. At the beginning I have to say that I was very afraid to purchase a car from a different state without seeing the car and especially when it's a used car. It's the first time I purchase a car like that. I actually cancelled my purchase right after cause I understood that the shipping will take longer than was I been told the first time and they told me "sure you can cancel and we will give you your money back" that builder my trust back with then showing me that they don't try to convince me or telling that this is too late to cancel. The only thing I was afraid is if the car arrives and something is bad with the car and then I'm screwed. Well the car arrived and looked like new and everything is working like they promised so I am very happy and I was waiting 2 month to make sure it stays like that. I was in the process of buying this 2013 Chevy Avalanche, Friday Night 3/6/2020, from Mike, the salesman. My brother and I went with Mike to test drive the Avalanche. After the test drive, we went back to his desk to start the bidding process. I had my approval number for loan to get the vehicle, Come to find out that none of their lenders was not my bank. It was closing time, and Mike said that I should fill up a credit form to see if they can match or beat my loan rate. He wanted a approval that we were still in negotiations, and I told him that filling out their credit form was showing them I was in. I did offer to start a low offer, and he was kinda snooty about the response. He got my loan number from my bank info from phoneIf , and put it on his sheet. I filled it out, as they were closing for the night, and their finance guy was gone for the evening, and that they will do the credit check in the morning. Today, 3/7/2020, Mike called me at 9:50 Am, to tell me that I needed a work order from my bank, so that they get their bank to work with my bank, to finish up the bidding process. He said that his lenders could not match the interest rate by bank was giving me for the loan. I told him my wife was working, and that I will run to the bank after she got home from work. I arrived at the bank and called Mike to re-verify what other paperwork he needed. And he texts me to say that "He will call later", so I texted him and asked what else he needed of the paperwork and loan officer, and he texted back "who is this and what car". As I was talking to the person at the bank, he calls me back, and tells me that I missed my window, because they sold the truck about 1.5 hrs before. This kinda irritated me. It would have been better if he was man enough to call me to let me know that truck waa being sold. But we were still in negotiations. His excuse was that he thought we were done, and "That he will chalk it up as an learning experience for the next time. I lost the truck, my credit took another hit, and was burnt by bad business ethics, and greed, due to not getting a loan from them, due to him not getting much of a commission, which I was working on bring in to them. I bought a very low mileage 2016 Jeep Wrangler from Quality Auto and was pleased with the pricing I was given. A week after I took possession, I discovered the Jeep had a leak in the roof that pooled water on the floor. I had several fairly serious issues with the Jeep and Keon Almassi, General Manager of Quality didn't bat an eye and insisted that I take the Jeep back to them for a "no charge" repair. I honestly believe that most every other independent auto dealer would have either charged me $1500 to $2000 or told me to take the Jeep to a dealer.
