Big shoutout to William and the manager of this business (don't recall a name, but won't leave you out). My car broke down due to my alternator shutting power off my car completely in the middle of 99 while I was turning onto 44th Ave. It was a nightmare situation with my girlfriend and I and hazards couldn't work and a couple of dicks sharing a brain cell who looked like they got off the set of "The Matrix" started honking repeatedly at us telling us to perform miraculous acts in such an occasion like, "drive to the side, asshole" and "why don't you turn on your hazards?!" Ah, yes. How about I do that after I deposit my check after inventing the cure for cancer, you devilish prick. "Shall I walk on water for you as well, M'lady?" Yikes. They then proceeded to do the correct maneuver and go around me, which trust me, is a very easy thing to do. Anyways, then William from Livengood Motors assesses the situation from across the street alongside his manager. The man is wearing a vest with a tie and a clean white Oxford. I mean, classy doesn't even cover it. They come to my assistance, give me a jump, direct me to their business lot where they proceed to offer their assistance, hook me up with the installation of the alternator, and also they called me a friend (which to be honest, is like the cherry on the sundae). I mean, how friendly neighborhood is that? Like, Spider-Man, move aside...Livengood Motors is here to blow your shit outta the water. 10/10 would recommend. read more

Since they deleted my review off facebook, after writing a snide remark, I guess I'll post on yelp to try and get the word out. I bought a 4runner from these people in August 2015. I noticed the check engine light was on when I test drove the truck. Will hooked up the reader and told me it was an o2 sensor, and that it was an easy fix. I buy the truck, next day the alternator went out, I messaged Rich, who told me that he would reimburse me for the part. I thought that was cool and ended up referring a friend to him, which he also said he would give me $100 for a referral. I waited and never received the money he promised to send. I sent him a few messages via facebook messenger which we had been in contact for about a month, he assured me that he had sent the money. I still haven't received any reimbursement from Rich, or livengood motors. On top of all of this, a month after getting my truck, my transmission went out, amongst other numerous things.. back sliding window does not work, neither does the drivers window now. The problems this truck has were all temporarily fixed, while for sale. Please be cautious while using Livengood motors. Make sure you take a mechanic, their cars aren't as clean as they claim to be. Update on this is that I still am in a loan with a car that can't be repaired that I got from this lot. Also in the previous review I left I forgot to say I also had a major coolant leak. Basically I'm gonna have to part out this car to get any money back for it. Do not go to this lot. They do not care and will sell you lemon so fast and then be rude about it. I just got ripped off rom this dealer they gave me way under value on my Honda van and than charged me for a Volvo s-8 sedan that had over 200 thousand miles on it was told it. Was good to go I believed him paid out. Over 1300. Bucks just to get home having it leak oil and water everywhere on. The driveway the owner won't give me nothing back on the car I'm ready to go to every person. I. 'THE GOOD CAR GUYS' The day after I bought a car from them I started noticing some problems. I had a really bad leak in my radiator (going through several gallons of coolent a day) and a headlight out. I went back with the car and was told to bring it in during the morning any day that works for me. They replaced the radiator and fixed my headlight without charging me. We weren't the only ones looking at cars, there were other people waiting for someone to come and help them. I guess they don't really want to sell cars. I can't in to buy the cheapest car on the lot, a high-mileage civic, for a friend. I wasn't expecting dealership-level professionalism and neither should you. This lot is run by a handful of nice folk who impressed me with their honesty. The rep I spoke with was very blunt but straightforward about the condition and history of the car, and everyone on the lot was very helpful. I bought the civic and they helped sort out a few minor issues, explaining that although they wouldn't warrantee the car, they would buy the car back in this case if I was getting cold feet while it was still on the lot. I chose to keep it and the car has been excellent. I was really impressed with the customer service and above all, the communication I experienced on this lot. There's definitely a lack of polish and I can see how that would turn some people off, but I'm a function-over-form sort of person, and when you're buying a cheap used car, practicality is more important than style. I bought a car through them. The first issue that came up was I took it in for an oil change after having it for a month or less. I was told and even saw that the cv boots and probably the whole axel on both sides would need to be replaced. I contacted Rich since he said he could get me in touch with a mechanic they knew for a good deal and apparently that involved him texting me and next thing I know one of the texts is followed by an unnecessary and inappropriate ";)" and never getting me in touch with the mechanic. When I purchased the vehicle I had him check the check engine light and he told me it was an o2 censor but wouldn't show me the device saying that. Later on I found out it was a whole bunch of transmission codes. Then later on it turned out that the sun roof drains were also clogged which caused flooding in the vehicle which in turn fried the transmission computer therefore worsening the transmission issue. The car apparently also needed an engine tune up which was causing the engine to backfire only 4 months after purchasing the vehicle. I did my research on this dealership and felt they could be trustworthy to only be stuck with a 5 year auto loan for over 6k on a car I can't drive or repair. read more

A few weeks ago my son and I stopped by to look at a car we found on the carsforsale.com website. We chose this place because it was one of a few advertised that offer financing if you have no (or bad) credit. My son has a good, steady job and earns enough but hasn't established credit so this was a desirable option. When we arrived, the car we came to look at was more of a fixer-upper than we had anticipated so my son looked around and found a couple more cars that interested him. He was pretty happy with the first car he drove but wanted to try the other one as a comparison. Unfortunately, the battery was dead due to the cold weather we were having so it needed to be charged, but then died again when the lights were turned on so we decided to pass. The attendant, William, showed us another car with similar features and styling as the first car so we took it out for a spin. The clutch was a bit looser but still a decent car and thought it was priced about right for the mileage and condition. My son ended up purchasing the first car and is really happy with it and the whole buying process. The attendant turned out to be the owner and offered us a 10% discount if we paid in cash. If you finance (they use an outside company), they do not offer the cash discount because of the costs involved. They will offer to carry small balances in-house which don't get reported to the credit bureau but with no cash discount. We ultimately decided that the incentive to pay in cash was a better choice for us than financing and we can work on other ways to build credit. Their office is appealing to the younger crowd with a large TV, a few video games, and very casual atmosphere. There was zero pressure during the entire process, from the time we stepped onto the lot to when we left. And even though these cars as sold 'as-is', William said if we have any issues to contact him and he'll see what he can do to help. If there is a specific car you're interested in, even if it's not on their lot, I wouldn't hesitate to give him a call. Great customer service! read more

My daughter the millennial Seattleite was the victim of auto theft from her apartment parking space on Capitol Hill. Once she received the insurance claim check for $6000, I flew up from NoCal and helped her look for an "Auto Row" in the area. We found highway 99 through Lynnwood to be the center of used car sales in the known universe. After visiting several of these dealers, we continued the drive north to Livengood Motors. Rich, an affable gentleman (and, bonus, former MMA competitor), allowed us to test drive multiple vehicles until my daughter and I chose a nifty little Mazda 6 2006 for $5500. Deal! (Do take cash for this and probably all of the highway 99 dealerships.) Their website is on spot: Livengood provides considerably low cost used cars, in reliable shape, and their accessible pricing is due to their overhead (gravel lot, big yellow trailer that's pretty cushy inside). Rich and his partner William's attitudes were honest, considerate, and friendly. Nobody like a mom appreciates a good deal for her kid and that's what my daughter received, a very good deal from Livengood Motors. read more

The manager Rich was honest with regards to purchasing a car. After noticing a specific problem we had with a car we were going to buy, he agreed to take into a mechanic to correct it. Since it happen to be a major fix, given the car has been sitting in a lot for over 2 years he gave it to the Chevy dealership mechanic to fix it at no extra cost to us. After 825 dollars later at the Chevy dealership, Rich still agreed to honor our deal with fixing the car issue. Moreover, their mechanics kept charging more to fix the issue; Rich apologized about the wait that was honestly not his fault as the dealership was given us the runaround continuously, raising the costs, and pushing the time of completion. We eventually agreed that the car had more issues than what it was worth and he ended up scrapping the car. In turn, he drove over an hour out on his time and gas to our residence to personally give our check back that was initially used to purchase the car. We are surprised at the high level customer service often not found in typical car salesmen. read more
