On entrance our experience wasn't poor, the first guy we talked to was a little odd but kind nonetheless. This first guy we talked to quoted us 75 for the 6 foot tree we wanted. We walked around a bit longer to look at other option and then circled back to and landed on the first tree we saw. A different guy came over to help us out and then he quoted us 85 for the same tree We went inside to pay and gave the guy the info on the tree and then he tried to charged us 100 dollars?? We mentioned to him that we had been quoted three different prices. He begrudgingly honored the 85 price point but failed to mention the card service fee so ultimately it came out to 93 dollars. It was an inconsistent experience. They offered to wrap the tree but failed to mention that also costs extra unless you ask.... The whole thing just felt shady. Excellent selection of super fresh trees, many sizes and types. Helpful and friendly staff who helped us look at trees and securely tied our pick onto the car for us. Want a wreath? Many, many to choose from in many sizes - 10" to 36", all fresh and beautiful. There is also garland for $2 per foot, great deal! Need a tree stand? Tons to choose from. And, they are the only tree lot we've seen that will deliver, setup, and come back to take your old tree away after the holiday. Amazing! I'm sitting in my living room waiting for this place to deliver an outrageously overpriced Christmas tree and with the Christmas tree and delivery this is costing us nearly $700. We made that decision and that is our choice. Obviously we made that decision because we can afford it, but we cannot afford us to waste an entire day for a company that is now over an hour and a half late delivering this tree. There's not a problem paying for something when the service is quality. Being over an hour and a half late and wasting our day means we may as well have done this with another company or have struggle through doing it ourselves. This is the last time we will ever use MJW. Regardless of what the tree looks like, this place did not even bother to tell us they were going to be late. My husband had to call and ask where they were before they bothered to communicate. They said they would be here in an hour. Guess what? Still not here. Here we sit, waiting. Taking up our Saturday. This, we paid for the pleasure of doing. Thanks for nothing. ***** I am updating this to include that the tree itself, when it finally arrived, was nothing amazing. Big? Sure. But I found it especially disturbing that one of the guys delivering said to us when I asked him to turn it so the better side faced the room, "well, these aren't the best trees. These are the decisions trees. We have to get through them!" You don't say that when someone has paid over $600 for a tree to be brought out and set up. But he was right. Worst 11+ foot tree we've ever had in this house in the 6 years I've been here. Next year -- back to local neighborhood delivery. Shameful. Sad to say we did not have the great experience as many of the reviews state. My husband and I wandered for nearly ten minutes before being greeted, despite being the only people there. We were not able to figure out the pricing and felt pressured into a tree choice before knowing the 6' tree was $125. We are new to the area this season, so perhaps that is typical pricing, I just wish we had not be pushed through without that information until we were checking out. I don't believe the tree was shaken, and two weeks later the tree is already dried out and dropping needles like crazy. (And yes it gets daily water). I decided to purchase my first real tree this past Christmas and took advantage of the delivery service offered through MJW. I put in my preferences for tree type and size online and was contacted to schedule a delivery date. The day of, I got a call with an estimated time. Two guys showed up and let me pick from 2 tree options, which was great. They further cut and mounted the tree outside. Things like: Cut and remove blackberries Cut and remove ivy from various corners of yard/driveway Clean out plant beds Prune trees Remove and pull back vegetation/soil from foundations and fencing Remove large wisteria plant growing over garage General detailing, cleanup, haul away, etc... Headline: A good selection of christmas trees and friendly staff It's that time of the year again - the "let's get a live Christmas tree in the house" time. I love shopping local places and MJW (at a new location this year, but not hard to find) does a good selection of trees. We found a great 7' tree. The friendly staff were all over the place, and they trimmed the bottom (which is essential) and then lifted it onto my car and tied it down. They also do a good selection of small to large wreaths, and you can buy tree bags (one size fits all) and stands, plus arrange for delivery all on-site. They take cards, but the signal is a little spotty (which makes for some interesting in-office conversations as your card gets charged). read more

It's so refreshing to LOVE our yard. Over the past few years we've been through too many "landscape maintenance" companies that knew less about landscape maintenance than I did. MJW services is the opposite. Mike, the owner, is really knowledgeable, and has put together an amazing crew who actually A) know what they are doing and B) enjoy what they are doing. If you are looking for a quick "mow and blow" Mike and MJW are not for you. If you want to hire a company that will maintain your yard impeccably, then MJW is the right choice. As for the person who gave them one start because they couldn't make it out until July - that's pretty harsh. These guys are good, AND because of that they are busy. If he had called them for a cleanup in February or March I'm sure he would have been taken care of quickly. I'm glad that Mike isn't hiring every Tom, Dick and Harry he can find to take advantage of quick easy growth. That would destroy the quality of the work he offers. And that would be a shame! I am SO pleased with the service I received from MJW. I would highly recommend them. Mike returned my emails immediately and got our work scheduled so fast, I couldn't believe it. Especially considering the response I was getting from his competition. Our overgrown yard is now wonderfully cleaned up. It was very limited when we first walked in. But there is plenty of 10 foot trees very beautiful trees to pick from, but we need at least an 8 foot. We ended up finding a Douglas fir that was about 8 feet and they were nice enough to cut it down to about 7 feet ,clear up the bottom branches and made it look really nice. The staff was really helpful specially this little dude, he looked about 15 or 16 years old, very great sales man and great attitude. They do have issues charging taxes so just watch the calculations, we got overcharged by 1.24. Not a big deal, lol. They are all trees that have been cut. We were Trinity Tree customers. I am glad we switched, didn't feel like cutting in the slush. Paid 8 dollars a foot, I will post a picture later. Merry Christmas!!! read more

When I tweaked my back putting Christmas lights up on the house last weekend I began to worry that the tree would be in jeopardy, until I remembered MJW did tree delivery too. Within 24 hours of our online order we had a tree (7' Douglas Fir) setup, trimmed, and watered in our living room courtesy of Eric. I usually don't write negative reviews to avoid bias from one-off situations, but Mike Wehrle deserves a scathing review. Mike is condescending and does not treat customers with respect. This has by far been the worst interaction I have had ever with any service/business owner. After I moved into my new home some time back, I was looking for lawn maintenance services and got a contact for this company MJW from my neighbor. I called them 4-5 times over the course of a week since I was desperately in need of lawn service and wanted to go with a referral. No one at this company answered my calls or voicemails; and I could not email them because when I looked up for MJW it showed me a christmas tree website. So when I saw their lawn guys at my neighbor's I told one of them that I called several times and I need a weekly service like my neighbor. The guy said he could service my lawn that day since he was there and will get back through his manager to set up the recurring service. He also asked me to pay for that service that day and set up the recurring payment later, to which I agreed assuming that it would be a formal service with my neighbor. He barely spoke English. Later that day, the manager Mike Wehrle walks up at my door and starts yelling at me accusing me of paying his guy on the side discreetly to do the lawn. I calmly said he was wrong and told him I called several times since I need a recurring service, not a one-time deal. The guy was shockingly rude, arrogant, loud and would not stop blabbering right at my doorstep; despite his own workers being at fault. He said to me proudly: "yeah I don't pick up phone calls" and spoke with utmost derision. Two years later, my wife accidentally contacted this company for some thing and the same guy calls me back and terribly misbehaves again without reason and crosses all lines of decency by making contemptuous remarks about my property, which I realize he has been snooping around. Not one time did he feel apologetic but instead has continued his shameful, condescending behavior. I would recommend my friends and colleagues never to work with him. read more

I watched MJW Services working throughout the neighborhood over the past year either providing year round maintenance or transforming shabby yards into aesthetically pleasing masterpieces before calling Mike to come fix our yard too. This place is AMAZING. They used to be by burger-master but now they are in the old "keg" parking lot. They have noble trees and most important is that they trim the trees for you and cut off the trunk so it can drink water. The BEST part is that they DELIVER right to the door! They handled all of the tree and bush trimming and shaping, removed an old stump, and reviewed and corrected issues with my irrigation systems. The tree looks great but delivery was quite expensive and the delivery guy showed up 2.5 hours after the delivery window, broke our tree stand, tried to charge us for a new one (he ultimately waived the charge) and scratched our wall carrying the tree in. I can't begin to say enough good about Mike and MJW Services. From the first phone call with Mike, I immediately felt confident that I'd found an awesome place for my landscaping work. It's been an epic struggle over the years to find any landscaping company who will: A.) Respond to calls / emails, B.) Communicate well, C.) Do a good job and not murder my bushes, and D.) Not rip me off. Anyone who knows me, knows that I am extremely critical (I have high standards given how I was raised by a strict military dad who insisted on everything being immaculate) and find fault everywhere. From the get-go, I can truly say I had no worries in that department. I love Mike's candid sense of humor, as well as his clear knowledge and expertise, and never once did I feel like he was trying to sell me anything. I felt confident, and all of their hard work and attention to detail backed that up. His staff did an incredible job with what amounted to a massive cleanup, a lot of tree trimming, pruning, as well as mulching, placing extra gravel, and even fence repair. Felt like I hit the one-stop shop jackpot! Every time I ever looked outside over the course of several days, they were hard at work. I couldn't be more pleased if I tried. For all of the effort, attention to detail and ease of working with Mike and his team, MJW more than earned every penny of what I felt to be an extremely reasonable cost.
