Craig and family were wonderfully accommodating and friendly. They clearly don't have any bad trees... we picked from the last of the Xmas season and no bad picks even still. The trimming selection was just as good with garland, holly, and juniper. And the views from the tree farm are breathtaking. Strangely the distance from home was a benefit. Another annual family tradition with a great place to cut a tree. The staff is always friendly and the tree selection is good. The gift shop has lots of items for purchase. Yesterday our entire family went to Mountain Creek Tree farm to get all of our Christmas trees. The moment you drive onto the property you feel welcomed and right at home with a friendly greeter explaining how everything works. The property sits close to Mt. Si and is so beautiful. We each found our trees and then looked in the cute gift shop with artistic ornaments and fresh hot cider for everyone (even warm cider for the little's so they could drink it easily). In addition to the cider the children were given the perfect candy cane to enjoy at the end of the tree cutting. I must say that our experience here will stay in my heart for years to come. It was a magical family outing and the perfect Christmas memory. Thanks for a great day! If you are looking for a place to get a tree, this is perfect. read more

This is my favorite tree farm in the area! The views are fantastic with mountains backing up the trees. The staff are all very friendly and helpful - we actually ended up calling on Saturday morning after Thanksgiving to see if anyone had canceled appointments and were lucky enough to get one last minute. However, we were told to start checking the website around late September/early October next year. There are several tree species options with PLENTY of trees small enough for an apartment. This is what I have struggled to find in past years at other farms. They also offer wreathes and other decor. The pricing is fair and they have free twine and a $5 bailing service which makes the whole experience flawless. We had a wonderful time scoping out our tree with a cup of the free hot cider! Taken aback from how disrespectful one of the parking lot attendants was. The older man who was ushering vehicles in stopped us as we pulled in. We were not aware that up until December 1st it was appointment only but we were let in regardless. After only being there for 15 min and on our way out, he asked us for our receipt when we very obviously did not purchase anything. He was very rude and disrespectful about how we only came to take pictures and then proceeded to try and open our car door. Insane behavior and the lowest level of professionalism. read more

This is a great place with a big selection of trees (there were 4 or 5 different types of Christmas trees.) with a good range of prices so you could find one to fit your budget. You can either cut down your own tree or choose from the pre-cut ones. They provide the saws (but bringing a chainsaw if you have it would make it a lot easier. Once you haul your tree out of the fields you can have it bundled up for a few bucks more, they will help load it for you. This is truly the perfect Christmas tree farm. Their trees are healthy and beautiful, reasonably priced, and their farm is a picturesque backdrop for you to find the perfect tree. Mary who works the register is the biggest sweetheart who offers you free hot cider and coffee and is probably one of the nicest human beings I've ever met. They seem to genuinely love what they do and they make you feel comfortable and you can't help but share their enthusiasm for the holidays. And I know they get very busy on the weekends and customers get grumpy and less than polite, so for this family to still be able to put on a smile when Monday rolls around is huge. My husband and I had the best time and will definitely only be coming to this farm for all our future tree needs! We got our tree home safe to Seattle and our entire apartment (even outside and down the hall!) smells like a forest, we've never had a tree smell so good! Beautiful Christmas tree farm. Cute old guy greeted us with jokes and gave us a map. The trees are well organized and plenty of nice ones to pick from. 7.5 foot Doug fir costs about $68 with tax. They've got cider and candy canes, and a little gift shop with special ornaments and a cozy wood burning stove. A creek runs through the property and you've got views of Mt Si all around. Also lots of wreaths and garlands. One port a potty, saws available, baling available, cardboard to kneel on if you need it. Great experience!!!! read more

Mountain Creek Tree Farm is truly as good as it gets! From the moment you drive on to the property, you're greeted by the owner (I think) who is the cutest man. He has a joke (or five) and a map for you. Once you park, you'll be surrounded by really beautiful trees that are clearly well cared for because they look healthy and the tops are straight as an arrow. The farm is in the shadow of Mount Si provides picturesque scenery as you hunt for your tree. After you find your tree and head to checkout, you'll be greeted by some nice guys who will bale your tree for you. At the baling station, they have beautiful wreaths that - like the trees - are very reasonably priced. They have free cider at checkout and a cute gift shop that has Christmas items and delicious cookies for purchase that are made at a local bakery. There aren't enough words to express how much I LOVE this place! We just cut our own Christmas tree at Mountain Creek Tree Farm yesterday. Right as we entered the tree farm, the man in the little greeter house came up to our car and said, "I remember you guys! You don't need a map...but just in case here ya go." Seriously, this is why I love family owned places. He must see so many people throughout the season, but somehow he remembered us! I'm glad we came early in the season, there were SO many beautiful trees to choose from. We decided to get a smaller tree this year--well 6 1/2 foot tree isn't very small...but it it was only $39 for a Douglas Fir! We also ended up getting a Christmas wreath ($34) and a mistletoe to get our house into the holiday spirit! The free apple cider always warms my heart. The staff are always SO helpful and friendly. Can't imagine buying my tree anywhere else! read more

This was my first experience with a U Cut tree farm in WA State so I don't have much to compare it to. Went with JP and his family on their annual tradition of cutting down their Christmas trees. We were also on the hunt for one for our place too. This place has a decent variety of trees: Fraser, Noble, Turkish, Douglas and Grand Firs. They provide you with a homemade map with the locations of the tree types and the rules and regulations (i.e. Only adults may carry and use saws, Keep dogs in your car, watch out for stumps, rocks and mountain beaver holes....I KNOW! I had never heard of a mountain beaver and disappointingly didn't see one or it's hole!) We paid $60 for a 7 1/2 foot Fraser Fir. I think I had a comparable tree from Lowes or Home Depot a couple of years ago for less, but honestly, the experience of getting out there and walking through a farm filled with trees was a much cooler experience than going to your local big box retailer. Pricing is done by the foot and it dependent on tree type (Frasers and Nobles are about $8 per foot for 6-7 1/2 feet and then it goes up to $10 per foot for 8 feet and above). I think everyone should have this sort of experience at least once, but definitely stick to buying your garland or wreaths at Costco or wherever as they were grossly overpriced here. Prices are reasonable, $70 for a 7 ft. Noble For with a fat trunk. Bill and his crew are the best! You'll take I-90 East towards North Bend, just a little over 40 minutes from Bellevue, but the drive through Snoqualmie Ridge or straight into North Bend is worth a family fun activity! Bill even allowed my Beloved a rock that she wanted to pick up by the creek on the tree farm. As we were leaving, after finding the most perfect tree with the family who invited us to come with them, Bill thanked us for coming and said with a huge smile, "This is for the kids!" WOW! BEWARE OF APHIDS! We've been to this farm three times: 2008, 2009 and 2015. We love the setting of this farm and appreciate the family-run small business. My in-laws own a Christmas Tree farm in Wisconsin and we love supporting farms like this! Unfortunately our experience this year was not a good one. We cut a beautiful 7' Frasier fir (~$80) and it looked wonderful decorated in our house. FIVE DAYS BEFORE CHRISTMAS we had to THROW OUR TREE AWAY due to Aphids that had hatched all over the tree! I noticed them when I was watering the tree, it looked like sap had dripped on a few presents. As I looked up the layers of branches, I noticed a branch with a cluster of dark moving bugs. When my husband got home and looked closer, he noticed them ALL OVER THE TREE. Aphids lay eggs on the branches in the summer/fall and the eggs usually stay dormant over the winter--until you bring the tree inside! They can live long enough to grow wings...once we read that, we took our favorite ornaments off and got the tree outside, lights on and mostly still decorated. We had to run to Fred Meyer and got a 4.5' fake tree to hold us over this year. We have always had real trees growing up and nothing like this has ever happened to us! Now, I understand that nature happens...we brought a live tree into our home for goodness sakes. The 1 star review comes in when I called the business to let them know about this problem. I was not looking for another tree, or a refund or anything. I simply wanted to make them aware of the problem so that future families could be spared a bug infestation and having to throw away their tree just days before Christmas! The woman I spoke with was completely unempathetic. She said it happens, they spot spray but can't catch them all (which I understand). Eventually she did say "sorry that happened to you" but when I said "Merry Christmas" at the end of the call she just hung up. We definitely just became a fake tree family and even though this farm makes wreaths and garland, we will not be back for any Christmas decor. read more
