Stopped into MK for Happy Hour (Monday - Friday, from 3:00 PM to 7:00 PM) and it was a pleasant visit. The bar and restaurant are clean and the bar has two televisions, in case the game is on. Howard, the Bartender, was exemplary. He created very good drinks and gave very good recommendations. You cannot beat the prices, both for drinks and food. Our beverages were: Mango Margarita (El Toro Tequila, lemon and lime juice, simple syrup, splash of orange juice, and mango monin) and an Isla de Coco (Malibu Coconut Rum, Midori melon liqueur, pineapple juice, lime). Both were amazing, strong, and I'm glad that I wasn't driving. Since it was Taco Tuesday, I ordered the Chicken Tacos (Chicken, marinated in red sauce, topped with pineapple, pickled cabbage, carrots, and red onions). This order comes with 4 fully packed soft tacos and one order is large enough to share. The chicken was well seasoned and I enjoyed every bite. Highly recommended. This place seems like a go-to for birthday dinners! There were 3 separate celebrations when I went (including my own). I made a reservation on Resy a few weeks in advance, but I had to add one more person at the last minute. I just called and they were able to accommodate. All the food we ordered was so good, and they were able to make substitutions. I asked for the arugula salad instead of the mixed vegetables that comes with the braised short rib and I'm so glad I did! The drinks are also really good. They have non-alcoholic options as well. Because they have a full bar, you can ask for classic cocktails not on the menu and they can probably make it for you. Highly recommend this place for any celebrations! I wouldn't really come here for a date especially on a weekend just because the larger parties can get loud and make it hard to hear, but that's just my personal preference. read more

I should have stopped while I was ahead. Found this place on Google last night and it was relatively close so let's give it a try. On street parking sux due to all the snow but that's not their fault. I parked at 7-11 which was only across the street. Once inside, the music was definitely too loud. More of a club than a quiet restaurant but there were several folks at the bar so it must be what they like. Immediately seated and waitress took my order within a couple of minutes. I tried the salmon with squash and brussel sprouts. Absolutely delicious. I was tempted to wipe the plate with my finger it was that good. That's when I should have stopped. But I love wings and finding new places for them. So I grabbed an order to go. Ordered Buffalo Hot. I noticed going back to the hotel I didn't have that buffalo smell permeating the car but sometimes they're well sealed. Back at the room I dug into them. Not hot at all. Barely any Buffalo. They were seasoned, just don't know with what. While it did come with a nice amount of celery and carrots, the blue cheese container was small and barely half full. Not sure what spice was on there but had heartburn all night long until around 4 when they came up. Tasted worse on the way out. Had I stopped at the salmon, this would have easily been a 5 star review. That was fabulous. The service was excellent. The only complaint about the on site dining experience was the music volume. Went here for Saturday brunch. I was so happy to find this place because most places only serve Sunday brunch. We ordered the bruschetta and mac and cheese bites for appetizers which were very yummy. I wasn't crazy about the garlic aioli for the mac and cheese bites but the bites themselves I thought were good. The bruschetta was about as perfect as bruschetta can get. For brunch, you get an entree, dessert and coffee/tea/soda for one price. I got the impossible burger, chocolate lava cake and coffee. The chocolate lava cake was an upcharge but I'm glad I did it because it was delicious and oozing with chocolate. So much chocolate that I couldn't eat it all. The impossible burger was ok but to be honest it's hard to make one of those very flavorful. The coffee was good. I ordered a passionfruit mimosa as well which was just ok. It mostly tasted like champagne instead of passionfruit. The service was phenomenal! I loved our server. She was so attentive and thoughtful. I've come here for years but never gave a review. I've loved this place since I discovered it back in 2016 or 2017. It's conveniently located minutes away from work. Before pandemic, it was a great Friday happy hour spot with a DJ later on at night. Drinks were always good and food on point. I rented out the wine cellar to hold my birthday dinner party there in 2019. Place was phenomenal and accommodating. All of our food and sangria was to perfection. MK Valencia has been my go-to brunch spot for the past two years since moving to NJ, so it seemed like a no-brainer to host my 30th birthday brunch in their "Valencia Room". And I'm so glad I did! Monica made the booking process very easy and even went the extra step by providing personalized menus for the event. The all-inclusive 3 course meal packages offered were very reasonable (I went with the "mimosa, bellini, and bloody mary" package), and my party definitely got our money's worth out of food and drinks lol. The room and tables were already set when we arrived - all we had to do was set up my extra decorations and cake table. They graciously waived the cake-cutting fee since we brought cupcakes. Danielle and the rest of the staff took great care of us and were very accommodating. Even with the late comers, they made sure that everyone got their order to the kitchen and that all the food come out in a timely order. My experiences here have been nothing less than great! Came here last week with a group of friends and we had such an awesome time. It was a Thursday even around 8pm and the resturant was basically empty (so social distancing was not an issue) Our waitress was very patient and attentive to our requests. Great spot for a drink or happy hour for sure! It's the closest spot we have from my office and I'm so glad I found it. I was here a couple of times and the service has been always great. The food is good, I ordered coconut shrimp which I've never tried them and I really liked them. I was supposed to share my dish but I didn't care, I ate them all lol. The place looks nice, very modern, clean, great atmosphere and can accommodate large parties if needed. Their sangria was delicious, I had just one glass, even though it was good, it was a bit strong lol but I'm it complaining. The staff was great, they were fast and very welcoming. The restrooms are clean which is a double plus for me. I ordered a chocolate lava cake and my only complaint is that they brought 2 spoons lol, I don't share my cakes! I cannot believe I have never been to MK's before! If you have not had a chance to lunch or dine here you don't know what you are missing! What a pretty sleek and sexy look to a place in the center of Ridgefield Park. Popped in yesterday for a small work lunch. Had no problem getting a table because we were the only ones in at 12pm. For appetizers they offer warm complimentary rosemary sourdough like bread. YUM! Our fellow helpers raced about the zucchini chips so we ordered them to start off with. We were so not disappointed! They were YUM YUM YUM! Did I say YUM! Totally addicting with their thin slices, fried with a hint of salt and parsley? Not sure but they were AMAZiNG. Slightly crispy on the outside yet soft with every bite. They seemed natural and were not covered in. Any kind of breading! Needless to say-you must order this app and be prepared to devour the nicely sized portion they provide. We ordered the arugula salad with chunks of fresh goat cheese, pumpkin seeds and chunky, soft, cinnamon pumpkin pieces that complimented the salad perfectly. I ordered salmon on the side which was surprisingly large. Again YUM! All in all the decor, ambience, service and food was very much appreciated and enjoyed. Now that the tristate area is starting to alleviate some of the COVID-19 restrictions, I decided to accept an invitation to Brunch last Sunday with a group of co-workers. Although I'm much more familiar with the brunch scene in New York, I decided to venture off to the other side of the GW bridge. Interestingly enough, it turns out I received an invitation for brunch but the crew never picked a venue. No worries, I tapped the Yelp family for some recommendations and MK Valencia was among them. Reservations were strongly recommended for Sunday Brunch and we were without...but we went to their website and scored a reservation at noon. ***Keep in mind, you will need a credit card to make an online reservation*** On to the good parts: Ambience - was pretty trendy with its large granite bar, perfect to enjoy your favorite cocktail while R&B plays in the background. Drinks - we ordered a pitcher of Mimosa for the table and everyone agreed, it's nice to taste the champagne in a Mimosa, other places are way too heavy on the OJ. I also loved their Passionfruit Sangria, it was deelish. Appetizers - Truffle Parmesan Fries and Fried Calamari Entrees - 12oz NY Strip Steak with scrambled eggs; Eggs Benedict with Crab Cakes; Chicken and Steak Quesadilla; Rigatoni Silvana; Salmon Judging by everyone's empty plates, I can only assume they enjoyed their selections. My only disappointment was with the homefries, they lacked seasoning and were slightly undercooked. Dessert: We enjoyed the tres leches and the fried Banana Cheesecake. The drinks here are horrible. Unless you're ordering a 2 ingredient drink, don't even bother. I tried like 4 different drinks, ended up settling for bottle beer. How do they and where did they learn how to make the drinks?? They Dunkirk need training. I'm not a bartender and I absolutely make better drinks at home with my cocktail kit. Went there for dinner for the first time recently and it's a great local place for a date or just to connect with friends.
