STAY AWAY FROM MK Vision center!!! THEY ARE SCAMMERS!!!! The only positive experience was Dr. Jay. Rest of staff are joke. Especially the person by the name Ray who suppose to "help" you. My wife and I ordered glasses with the Crizal lenses. We received the glasses and the lenses that were not Crizal while Ray "guarantied" that they are authentic. No authentication card. I thought the staff was courtesy as soon as you walk in your welcomed. Their was this young girl that helped me with my insurance discount told me what I'm covered and my deduction, BUT unfortunately she had to leave her shift and I was attended to a lady who try to OVERCHARGE me ! I explained to her that the price was more than what the young girl had given me but this lady didn't change her price , until I told her off in front of her boss. Than she showed me like three different frames which I wasn't in love with for a fee that was OK not so great, and yet I'm not so satisfied with the frame I bought but hopefully I can find a better eyecare place with frames for a nice price range. ****Update*** NEVER GO HERE! unless you know all the hidden policies, theres NO REFUND OR EXCHANGES, if your prescription lenses seems alittle off try to get another exam, they told me i need to adjust to it! Like i can really adjust to eyewear that isnt clear? SMH I was called from the manager to come back to pick a frame i liked with no additional charge BUT he didnt honor the price the other worker gave me nor did he care for what my insurance covers SMH dont let them take your money! They made me feel obligated to give them money on a layaway plan that i can pay anytime but pressured me into paying ASAP. I'm not an expert on eyewear nor do I shop for glasses all that often. However, of the several places I've been to, MK vision center definitely offers the best service! The employees were very attentive and helped me pick out a very nice frame from a very large and nice selection. They didn't pressure me to buy the more expensive, high end glasses or special coated lenses, as I've experienced from other places. Plus, it only took 2 days for my prescription glasses to come in!! My prescription sunglasses broke on the Fourth of July. The little tiny screw that holds my right frame in place broke off, leaving the teeth intact and losing the head. Pretty upset about that, I stopped by MK Vision after work the next day as per suggest by my buddy D. She had mentioned that there was a new Glasses store on 71st that looked pretty nice. We stopped by at around 7:05PM, their hours were until 7:30PM. Close call #1. Initially, they were going to attempt to remove the broken screw in-house - giving me a disclaimer that, in the event that my frames get damaged, they would not be responsible. I figured my frames would be useless if they couldn't fix it anyway so I waived. After some careful tinkering, Joe and Henry told me they couldn't remove the screw without damaging the frame and inquired as to where I purchased my frames. So it turns out that MK Vision is actually affiliated with Flushing Optical and Mott Street Optical! Score. I bought my pair-in-question from Flushing Optical. They had all my info on file. Apparently, my frames came with a 1 year warranty. According to the system, I bought my glasses on JULY 6TH! I had about 5 minutes before my warranty expired. After collective gasp of excitement/relief, Henry and Joe quickly offered me some solutions and potential alternatives. Super helpful, and now my shades are fixed! I got a call the next day that all was ready for pickup. I'm definitely keeping my business with MK Vision. They have very competitve prices and relentless customer service. The first time I came here was 3 years ago. Came in for an annual eye exam for both glasses and contacts and purchased both by the end of it. This time I came in because the bridge on my glasses completely broke off and I needed new glasses (something I've been holding off for a year already since my glasses always come up to a hefty sum!) so I run in last minute for an appointment with the eye doctor. I don't recall his name but the ophthalmologist was amazing. He explained everything he was going to do in detail, what all the tests I was taking meant and when I told him about my circumstances (ie sitting in front of the computer all day due to school and work), he discussed my options were (in terms of my prescription). Totally great guy. Luckily during my eye exam, I gave my broken glasses to this guy who worked there, Allen, who managed to fix the bridge (this made me super happy, you don't even know) and fixed it so that it sat perfectly on my face (rather than sliding down all the time). Allen was super helpful while I picked out my frames. He tried to find frames that I liked in terms of style (soft rectangular frames) that would also suit my face. I'm asian so I really don't have a bridge and I need frames with nose pads! Also I'm super picky about my frames because I need to wear them all day long. They have to be comfortable and fashionable. Allen also understood me right away when I said, "take away all the frames that can't handle my prescription" (and only all you heavy degree glasses wearers know what I mean). When you have as bad a vision as I do, your lenses get thicker and thicker and at some point, you can only wear frames that can handle thicker lenses. I finally decided on the Ic! Berlin frames (you know, the bendy, you-can-sit-on-them-and-they-won't-break frames?) so now I'm just waiting to pick them up. In the meantime, I'm using my old frames, but I'll update this review when I finally pick up my babies! read more

What started off as a mishap when making an appointment for 2pm only to arrive and find out that the doctor was unavailable, turned out to be a great visit with the assistance of Tony, who was very informative and who provided us with great service! We walked in looking to fulfill our annual VSP claim & Tony walked us through our options. With his assistance, we were able to choose the options that best suited us and rescheduled our appointment to 3:30pm. The eye exam went smoothly and the Doctor onsite is friendly and welcoming. The process was quick and efficient. We had a great experience at MK, overall, and would not hesitate to return! A great choice for those in the FH neighborhood, near and far! BUYER BEWARE!!! BUYER BEWARE!!!!!! Horrible experience with this MK Vision optical store. I normally never write reviews but this absolutely warranted a review especially when you view Yelp and see their many *** reviews. My story is long in dealing with this optical store. I will try to narrow down. Hope you can follow ! I went to MK Vision to purchase glasses and contacts in June 2020. Get ready, here comes first red flag. If you are using health insurance make sure you know what your insurance covers/ pays. MK Vision and "Mike" ( manager)are fast talking and told me they would "give me a good deal". They constantly speak in their language and this is very rude and unprofessional. I never received a broken down receipt of charges. I only received a receipt of the lump sum minus the deposit I left. When it came time to pick up the glasses/contacts. I questioned them as my insurance co had one balance and MK Vision had different balance . After debating with them in what insurance covers and my responsibility, (they threw out so many numbers and scenarios of what insurance covers, &fast talking) At that point,I felt very uncomfortable and didn't believe them one bit. Scammers came to mind. I asked them to reprocess the insurance claim . I wanted the insurance to pay the higher cost which was the glasses, of course. (Which they didn't do). I left the store without the glasses/ contacts. Let me remind again, I previously left over a $400.00 deposit. Months passed by. The Insurance co.took awhile to reprocess the claim and I didn't hear from MK Vision for a long time. Also this area had a second short shut down with Co-vid again. So fast forward, we are now in late December 2020. I called the store to ask if the glasses are ready. They said "YES". I asked for the balance. They asked, if I wanted the eye contacts since this would be my out pocket expense. I said no, just the glasses. I at this point just wanted to be done with them. They gave me my balance over the phone. About 20 minutes later they called me back again and left a voicemail and gave me a different amount for the balance. Yea , I can't make this sh...t up. I kept the voicemail just in case I had an issue when picking up the merchandise. (As my luck with MK Vision was not good). I went to the store on Jan 2, 2021. I told them I was here to pick up my glasses. After about 10 minutes. They found my glasses. Unfortunately the lenses were not in the frame which I thought was odd especially since I recently spoke with them in late Dec and they told me all was ready. Well this is where the story gets good. The guy says, we can put the lenses in now. He says, about a 15 minute wait. I was not happy with this but at this point I just wanted my glasses and be done with this place. After about 25-30 minutes. The guy comes back and I see him behind the counter taking a picture of my glasses. Very odd, I thought. I approached the counter and said ,"what's going on". He says these are not the correct prescription for your glasses. I said " what" ?????? He continues to say We have to send them back out since your glasses are custom made and you will need to leave a deposit. I asked where are my lenses when I was here in June ? No answer from him. I said,they were already custom made????. Also, you have over 400 dollars of a deposit. He says, no you had a problem with the deposit. There is no deposit. How do you say this in front of all other customers in the store. Embarrassing !!! Unbelievable!!! and of course this was not the case. I left a deposit. I walked out of the store. The next business day I contacted my insurance co. They tried for 2 months to resolve the lens& deposit issues with M K Vision. This MKVision Co already took the insurance payment that was paid by my insurance co and had over 400 dollars of deposit money. A Serious violation of theft of services. My insurance co tried numerous times to talk with this MK Vision company. They were told to speak to this person and that person. Stalling, stalling & more stalling. My credit card company experienced the same. End result as of March 2021. My insurance co fully restore my eye benefits and I received my money back from the credit card co. after filing a dispute against this company. Let me say, I have been a very long time customer with them.I will never ever go back here again. They are scammers, rude and unprofessional. So Buyer Beware and seek a eye care place that has integrity and are reputable because MK Vision lacks these qualities. There are plenty of other optical establishments who will give you great customer service and practice good morals. MP read more

I took my two kids there- two girls ages 5 & 7. They were super scared about going to the eye doctor because they had had a bad experience at another place getting their eyes dilated. The guys at the counter were fantastic at getting them comfortable and excited about being there. They tend to be scared around strangers but the employees were so nice and engaging that they were excited to be there. The optometrist was fantastic and super patient with both kids and walking them through everything. They have a huge array of kid glasses and again they were so patient to show the girls every single pair they wanted to try on and actually listening to each of them I. Terms of what they want in glasses ( mostly colors). At the end of the day I ended up paying less than fifty bucks for Both kids with my insurance including a designer pair of glasses. I can not recommend this place enough - they are beyond awesome . read more

MK Vision Center. Mott Optical. Flushing Optical. I've been going to this chain since I was a wee teen. Each location has amazing service, accepts walk-ins for eye exams, and has a helpful and friendly staff. This is my most preferred location. Not because it's closest to me, but because the staff here has been the most helpful and most friendliest. I always spend at least an hour here because I can never seem to make up my mind. But the staff is always patient and entertains to my requests. Follow up is also great - giving you a ring when it's time to pick up your prescription or letting you know when your glasses are ready for pick up. Tip - they will adjust your glasses for free... assuming you purchased it here. read more

I had to use MK vision after I lost my eyeglasses. I had an eye exam and was prescribed eyeglasses. As soon as I picked up my eyeglasses I found my old pair that I have been using for 12 years. So I just kept the new pair as a back up. I didn't try them on for 3-4 months. When I tried using them I realized that numbers are not right and I couldn't wear them at all. ( they made me dizzy and I saw blurry) Due to COVID-19 situation I couldn't go back to MK vision for a while. I went back and explained the situation. I recently visited MK Vision for a routine eye examination. I made my appointment online which was incredibly convenient however, they accept walk-ins as well. The optometrist was terrific. He explained everything he was doing throughout the examination and dilation. Even though it was my first visit I felt like I had been going there for years. When I'm ready to buy new glasses I definitely plan on returning to MK Vision Center. They had a large selection of glasses and their customer service was excellent. read more

Went to have my eyes checked for the DMV's required eye test. They gave the standard test, and despite me saying I only wanted that and that I wouldn't be going there since they didn't take my insurance, tried to do more. Otherwise, the rating would have been higher. Also, make sure whoever you talk to gets your name right when they submit paperwork. read more

The customer service at this place is amazing. I walked in on a Wednesday night, around 7:10pm to get my glasses refitted. Allan spent almost 20 minutes readjusting them until they were perfect on my face. The whole time, he was showing me why they come loose all the time and explained the mechanics behind different types of frames. He also showed me some frames that would fit me better and told me that my insurance would probably cover some of the costs. I asked for his business card and he insisted that if I come in when he's not here, anyone could help me since they don't work on commission. I have been a loyal customer for decades. I am not exaggerating, literally multiples of decades. Yes, I know this place just opened a few years ago :) But this is the forest hills branch of the much older Flushing eyeglass store on Roosevelt ave, where I had my first contacts. Didn't love them, but they were competent. Not sure what happened here recently, but I was here in search of a new frame.. What seemed like a very simple thing to do turned out to be unnecessarily painful. Anyway, the kid that helped me spoke very quickly and answered every question with a lengthy verbal spasm that ultimately does not contain any useful information. They quoted a price for my frame at $435 (High, but ok) but they were very nebulous about how long it will take to arrive & for the lab to mount the lens...etc. Bleah.. too much work. I ordered the same exact thing from amazon for 200. Arriving in 3 days. read more

Excellent experience from start to finish! The interior of the shop is clean, neat and well-lit. Staff is extremely knowledgeable and friendly! I dealt with a two individuals, Caylee and Jaimie both of whom were excellent. Never once did I feel pressured to buy into anything as eyeglass frames can be extremely expensive. I had specific needs when it came to my frames and they were all considered when a pair was recommended to me. The eye exam took a total of 15-20 minutes. Frames were ready within a weeks time. Me and my mother both needed glasses so we went together. They were friendly and really great with my mother! They completely ignored me and spoke about my glasses with my mother instead of me. To compound the problem, they spoke with her in Mandarin despite my requests that they speak in English or Cantonese so I could at least join the conversation. I understand. They probably could not hear. Perhaps they thought my mother was paying for my glasses, that her opinion was more valuable. She was not paying and they assumed wrongly. I hated my experience there and I left thinking I should have gotten my glasses elsewhere. On the positive side: wide selection and good pricing. Further visits to fit the glasses went well. They took their time, fitted them carefully and listened to my feedback. The first visit still leaves me feeling very bitter though. read more

The first time I entered in the morning , this guy explosively explained me really well about the types of glasses and prices they had in-store. This made me return again today , the blue shirt girl over the counter had such a drive to make a sale which I thought was a very good customer care she had.
