I normally don't write reviews, but my wife's experience with MM Beauty and Morgan was so disappointing that I feel I need to warn others. From the very beginning, the process was a mess -- multiple cancelations, last-minute substitutions, and poor communication. This forced us to spend extra time and money traveling, scrambling, and stressing over what was otherwise one of the happiest days of our lives. My wife's wedding day was marred by the lack of reliability and professionalism from Morgan and her team. When my wife raised these concerns directly, Morgan actually acknowledged the countless mistakes and admitted the process had been mishandled. But instead of taking accountability in any meaningful way, she flat-out refused to offer any monetary compensation. The only "solution" she proposed was store credit or a complimentary service -- which is insulting. After going through all of this, why on earth would we ever go back? I think the worst part was her attitude when we called to complain, she admitted fault, she knew we would expect compensation (but didn't offer it), but she didn't seem to be sorry...just upset and defensive and what's not what you want when dealing with your wedding. This experience caused us unnecessary stress and financial loss. I recently had my test as well as day of wedding makeup done by MM Beauty. The makeup and hair execution by Blanca was flawless, with her attention to detail and ability to follow feedback resulted in perfect bride look for me. Admittedly there was unnecessary added stress the day of which came down to a few operational issues I would like to share for future brides. I had worked with Morgan on booking the hair and makeup test, and artists for the day of. For my particular contract there was just not enough time or artists dedicated to the event. It should take roughly an hour for each hair service and up to over an hour for makeup at minimum, but the schedule created only allowed for thirty minutes for hair and forty five minutes for makeup. The results for some of my bridesmaids were less than ideal due to the time constraints as we were just short an entire makeup artist and things were much too compressed. At one point I was asked if I would be comfortable with a different artist than the one who had done my test doing my bridal makeup who was planned on the original schedule in order to balance out the schedule to which I refused. This was because one of the artists dedicated to the event mentioned upon arrival that she doesn't typically do hair even though that was the service she was scheduled to provide. Another issue we saw was the schedule we spent time finalizing was revised at the last minute by management the day before and miscommunicated to the hair makeup artists so I frantically had to remake one the day of myself at six am and hope my bridesmaids and mother would be awake and ready at a different time than the itineraries I had created for them. Fortunately they were very supportive and helpful and for the most part everyone's looks were completed on time. Blanca was able to expedite things somehow and while the results were very good overall, I'm most disappointed because each of these were concerns I had raised via email beforehand, and I was reassured more than once that everything would work. TLDR make sure you don't compromise on the start time so you can get rest the day of your wedding. Timelines and number of artists at a minimum should allocate one hour for hair and an hour and fifteen minutes for makeup per service. Agreed services provided for the bride by the same artist who did your test the day of should be priority. Things always happen so please be mindful of these potential hiccups! read more

So many things was wrong. First, I booked it and then was told that her price went up at the first of the year. I had to pay the extra amount although I had already put a deposit down. Second, she told me that lash extensions were included in which she didn't do. Third, it was confirmed that she had the makeup to cover a tattoo. She did not. Our artists, Vanessa and Nami, came to my house with everything ready to go, and both ladies were professional perfectionists, ensuring me and my gals looked and felt our very best. After an initial hiccup with my first hair and make-up vendor, I found Morgan just a few months before my wedding and she immediately impressed me with her quick responses and warm personality. Morgan Merrill of MM Beauty was one of the best and easiest decisions I made for my wedding. She really caters her makeup to each person in the bridal party. Before our makeup trial she had me send her photos of makeup I liked and at my trial we discussed "why" I liked each photo so she could try to create a look just for me. The day before my wedding I made the poor decision not to wear sunscreen on a cool overcast day in Tahoe. By my rehearsal dinner it was apparent that I had made a huge mistake and was sporting a pretty significant tank top shoulder burn. Literally every brides worst nightmare! I didn't sleep all night worrying about how I would look in my strapless dress. Morgan came bright and early the next morning, assured me she would fix it and she did! You didn't notice the burn and I looked amazing. In addition she did the makeup for my 6 bridesmaids, mother and mother-in-law.
