I cannot explain to you how wonderful Angelina did my make up and hair for my special day! I had never got my make up and hair done professionally before. I was looking for an asian make up artist who can do asian style make up as American make up artists really cake on your make up. I did not want that and was worried I would not find someone like that. My friend forwarded Angelina's yelp page to me and as I looked at the photos uploaded, I was pleasantly surprised. I quickly reached out to her and her response to me was within a reasonable time. Months prior to my wedding, whenever I had questions and asked her, she was able to answer me. Comes a day before the wedding and she gave me a quick reminder of my appointment. Very kind of her. Gave her the address to my hotel and my room number, and the next morning, she arrived on time. I was still getting ready with my mom and she was able to wait a bit for us to get settled in and set up her stuff. It was my first time seeing her and her first time working with my hair and face. Due to budget restrictions, I was not able to do a trial run with her. She asked me what make up and hair style I liked and she was able to execute what I wanted within 2 hrs of time. She also did my mom's make up and finished everything on time. She was super duper kind to both me and my mom. Made good conversation with us while doing our make up and my hair. When I was done, she showed me how I looked and I was so shocked to how beautiful I looked. My parents, brother, and guests all said I looked very natural and beautiful. I had my hair and makeup done by Angelina for my graduation on Thursday. I haven't needed to get my hair and makeup done at all while in the Sacramento area, so I turned to Yelp for help. I contacted her through Yelp and she messaged back promptly and even worked with me to make my very, very early appointment time work. Even though I initiated contact multiple times on here, it was very difficult to get a straight answer from her on whether she had availability when I needed make up services which was over a month out. When I first reached out she responded right away, and then a few days passed and I heard nothing back, so I reached out again to check whether I could book or move on to find another MA. She agreed to the services, but never confirmed if the date and time I needed would work for her, despite her asking for my inspo pictures. I contacted Angelina a bit last minute to schedule someone to do my bridal hair and make up (I'm SUCH a procrastinator!). We spoke at length over the phone as I wanted to have my bridal party get their hair and/or make up done as well. She took time to talk to me and answer my questions. My wedding was held late October 2018. I had book Angelina and another one of her assistants to complete my bridal hair and make up, hair and make up for my maid of honor, and make up for my other 2 bridesmaids and mother. Angelina and her assistant were scheduled to come super early as they had another appointment in the early afternoon. The assistant arrived on time but Angelina was running late due to car issues but kept me informed which I appreciated. When arriving, she noted that she would take off some of the cost due to being late, which I also appreciated. It sucked that they needed to rush due to the time limitations. The assistant couldn't start earlier as we waited for Angelina as Angelina had all the supplies. Angelina kicked butt with my hair and make up. My maid of honor felt alright about her own make up and hair, which were done by the assistant. My mom is pretty picky and wasn't happy about her make up but I forget why. Angelina did a good job stepping in to touch up/fix it and reassured her that she would do it to my mom's liking. I was provided with a small touch up baggie for my make up and some extra bobbing pins. The payment was easy as it was all done through Venmo.
