I was also assured the restoration would be done in a timely manner but took a week just to come and do an inspection/estimate, another week to receive the estimate, then never followed up to go over the estimate. All the while, I had to inquire almost daily to keep things moving. I eventually decided to cut ties and go with a different company. I would recommend this company for remediation but look elsewhere for restoration.

I had a leak from my ceiling from the upstairs neighbors' dishwasher flooding. Ed came to check out the leak and put a fan to dry out the ceiling. When we found out the building had insulation instead of bedrock, Sara and team came to do the mold and wetness inspection. They were very considerate of my kitchen/dining area space, installing a tent to contain the dust, and moving my furniture and household items gently out of the way. After they cut holes for inspecting mold, and then patched the areas with dry wall, I did not like how textured they patched the ceiling. It was very obvious which areas of my ceiling got work done. However, Ed reassured me that the texture would be scraped down when they came back to do the paint. Indeed the texture was scraped down to match my existing ceiling and after a few layers of paint, I couldn't even tell that work had been done to my ceiling! Sara and another worker were very good about showing me the work/progress along each step, confirming that I was happy with the work, explaining the demolition and what they found, and also tidying up my kitchen/dining area when they were done with the demo/patching/painting. I loved how quick they worked, how responsive they were, and the end result.

If you do not read anything else in this review, read this...Do not hire this company. Their work was inferior and completely unacceptable. When asked to correct before continuing with further work, Ori walked off the job. He did not respond to voicemail, texts or emails. I hired Golden Restore to repair water damage from a leaking shower drain. Ori, was the project manager. There were 2 phases. The first was the water remediation, which was completed for a total of $3500. Once that was done and the walls and floor of the upstairs shower were opened, dry rot was found. The floor and half of the walls in the stall shower needed dry rot repair, waterproofing, new sheet rock, new tiling. The lower bathroom was also affected because the ceiling and walls needed to be opened up to allow the framing. A new timeline was discussed and agreed upon. During the demolition, damage was done to the outside walls and tiles of the shower. Ori kept assuring me the work would be done on the existing timeline. It wasn't. He kept assuring me the damaged walls and tiles would be repaired as per original. They weren't. The dry wall was very poorly installed. It looked like a DIY project, not a professional contractor. The tiles were retiled in the wrong direction and wrong sizes. It was patch worked. I had asked for Grey grout. He used Grey grout on the shower floor but white grout on the shower walls. He never communicated this change, I would not have different grout colors on the walls and floor. When I saw the completed work in the upstairs shower, I told Ori it was unacceptable and had to be repaired before completing the downstairs bathroom. I had paid him $10,500.00. The total cost of the job was $14,490. I told him I would not pay anything further on the contract until he redid the upstairs work and it was acceptable. Once that was done, we would continue with the downstairs bathroom and complete the contract. Ori refused to fix the inferior work unless he was paid. He did not answer phone calls or emails. I have not had further communication from him. I have attached photos of the inferior work in the upstairs bathroom and the unfinished downstairs bathroom.

I'm now working with a rat removal service but before A2Z allowed me to hire them & get in contract they should have advised me to be sure to complete the proper step beforehand of ensuring the rat infestation was resolved. Now i'm out $3500 for an unnecessary garage cleaning and still have a rat infestation. As a new homeowner (or any homeowner) I'd assume a good business would make sure I've done the pre work (in this case rat infestation elimination) before accepting the job. There was only one guy/kid who ever came out, Daniel. Daniel was the assessor, the measurer, the packer, mover, the cabinet remover... Yet, I had to explain to him what cork flooring was... he had no idea. He also believed he was qualified to set up containment and remove asbestos in my home, which is strictly to be done by a legitimate abatement company, which ServiceMaster (SM) is not. He was actually caught by the legit company, and Daniel and SM were fired on the spot. But because he had the A/C on while he did this, we have been out of our house going on 8 months now, and in a legal battle to get them to ensure my home is safe before we can move back in. It's been an absolute nightmare! There have just been so many lies and broken promises made by this company and just straight up shady stuff. Like when I would pay for something, they told me to give them the receipt to submit to insurance, when obviously I could do that myself. They kept insisting that I allow them to do the pack out of my kitchen, even though I told them I preferred doing it myself as I needed to make sure I had access to certain things. Then they told me my things were to be stored in a POD in my driveway, but when they came, (and two days after they said they would), there was no POD. They said they were taking my stuff to a "local storage unit" and that I would be given a code or key to have access. When I questioned them for it, they said "I can't have access to it till everything is done." It's as if they were holding my stuff hostage, trying to get me to agree to let them finish the job... AS IF!! To this day, they cannot produce a storage receipt. It is my sincere belief, that my stuff was in someone's garage or just kept in the truck while they were billing the insurance for "storage unit" fees. Every job that should be done by someone more qualified, they did themselves, but were probably billing insurance as if the qualified people were actually doing it! Then after the screw up with the asbestos, stupid me did not move the key I had hidden for them, and my neighbors actually witnessed them going into my home, AFTER BEING FIRED, removing drywall (evidence), not bagged or contained, and throwing it into the back of their truck. When I told Levi that we were hiring a public adjuster to look into his wrongdoing, he produced a report a week later - suspiciously ordered by another company he owns - that could clear him of wrong-doing. No one, not even insurance had even heard of this company before, and insurance is supposed to approve everything first.
