We love this restaurant! They are family friendly and always remember us when we come in. We have 2 little ones and they always welcome us and the mess we make. :) We are local and it's nice that they remember us in the sea of tourists that come in. Excellent Peruvian Hispanic fare. We had beef empanadas, perfectly seasoned and piping hot. My husband, NY Rican, and I split the 1/2 chicken white meat platter. Again well-seasoned but not over-seasoned or over-cooked and truly awesome! Our son had the carne asado sandwich (delicious) with fries which were good, but not as great as the yuca fries we got as a side with our chicken. Grand Opening-What a joke! Confusing menu and I was not given the suggestion of how to save money for what I ordered!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!I got ripped off!!!! Charged me 20% more than on menu I have eaten at several Peruvian restaurants across the US (one example is Chicken Fiesta in Richmond) and this one sucks. Not only did they cheat me, but while trying to stay true to the authentic food, it is not appealing. Should have better sides-- Pinto beans, tortillas for soft tacos or make soft tacos, should have pico de gallo in addition to the traditional sauces, while these are more Mexican the American taste buds will not understand or like what they are serving Another great dish would be ceviche. You have the sweetest shrimp any where. And guess what, you would be unique in this area.. Hope they make it, but I have my doubts read more

I don't know how you would have discovered this gem if it wasn't for Yelp! Very simple menu and the food was absolutely delish! I got the 1/4 chicken w/ plantains and fries. I read on here to try the Inka Cola and I, too, recommend getting it with your meal. The owner came by our table 3 times to make sure everything was good and talked to us for a little bit. The third time he came by he brought us wet naps and I thought that was very considerate. The restaurant is very clean.. almost sterile and is a very casual environment. Tacos were good but different from usual taco, it had meat, cilantro, onions and in my case hot sauce. Desperately needed lettuce and sour cream, may be a jalapeño too? Burrito was great but the burrito took 30 minutes and tacos came about 7 minutes later??? None of those ingredience take that long to prep and cook. Don't get me wrong it was nice not getting cooked ahead food and on vay kay I am never in a hurry but some people would whine and cry about that so worth mentioning for those with weak constitutions and no patience. read more

This is one restaurant you really should go to. It is a family owned business selling authentic Peruvian food. The star is the Peruvian rotisserie chicken. Moist, tender and perfectly seasoned. I believe this may be the best roasted chicken I've ever had. The sides that we had were very good. Prices were very reasonable. I had to try the chicha morada, a traditional chilled Peruvian drink made with purple corn, apples, pineapple, cloves and other spices plus sugar. It was delicious! We talked to one of the owners for a few minutes. She is from Argentina and her husband is from Peru. Very friendly and pleasant and interesting to hear how the came to be in the US. This is a great restaurant, looks very clean, owners are nice, and talked to me. I like that the food is basic in the sense that I can have chicken and beans and nothing else or I can sauce it up with their many salsas. Some restaurants try to do too much as in add too much salt, or fry everything and sometimes it's hard to find baked, steamed or broiled that's flavored properly but the food here was tasty and healthy which serves my high protein low carb diet well. Of corse if you wanted non healthy food they have your options too, but again this place is perfect for what I like to eat. read more

After seeing all the reviews I was very disappointed with my take out meal! I spent $15 for a chicken taco salad and a kids meal for my 8 year old . The $5.55 kids meal had one small wing and a tiny container of black beans. My daughter was still hungry. My taco salad was almost all rice inside a greasy fried flour shell. There was some dry shredded chicken and black beans, onions and cheese but mostly rice and very very little lettuce.
